PHILOSOPHY
Multiverse Deism Shifting Perspectives of God and the World By Leland Royce Harper
October 2021 154 pages Paperback 9781793614773 £31.00 / $39.99
Given recent scientific findings suggesting that our world is part of a multiverse, Leland Harper argues that we ought to abandon the idea of an active God in Judeo-Christian theism. This shift results in a more coherent, cohesive and, ultimately, better account of God than is currently offered by the Judeo- Christian monotheistic tradition. Leland Royce Harper is assistant professor of philosophy at Siena Heights University.

The Maya Apocalypse and Its Western Roots By Matthew Restall and Amara Solari
August 2021 168 pages Paperback 9781538154984 £21.95 / $29.00
Driven by a clear and compelling argument, this engaging book traces apocalyptic thinking in two civilizations—Western and Maya. Looking both back and forward, Matthew Restall and Amara Solari build on their previous study, 2012 and the End of the World, to explore the persistence of our civilization’s end-of-times anxiety and anticipation.
Matthew hew Restall and Amara Solari are specialists in Maya culture and in colonial Matt Mexican history and art history. Both teach at the Pennsylvania State University, where Restall is a Sparks Professor in history and anthropology, and Solari is professor of art history and anthropology. His books include Maya Conquistador, Seven Myths of the Spanish Conquest, and When Montezuma Met Cortés. Her books include Maya Ideologies of the Sacred and Idolizing Mary. They recently coauthored The Maya: A Very Short Introduction.

Jewish Church A Catholic Approach to Messianic Judaism By Antoine, O.P. Lévy
January 2021 434 pages Hardback 9781793633422 £96.00 / $125.00
For two millennia calling oneself a Jew and confessing Jesus-Christ was perceived as nonsense. This is no longer the case. Jewish believers in Christ - “Messianics”, Catholics, Orthodox, and so forth - are now reclaiming their Jewish identity. Jewish Church is about imagining what their home in the Church would look like.
vy is a Dominican priest. Antoine Lé Lévy
