t. Barnabas Thrift Store is hoping to clear out some of its stock at an upcoming sale. The thrift store raises funds for St. Barnabas Church’s many community programs, including a lunch program and an emergency food cupboard. The store, open Wednesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., sells a variety of items, including clothing, housewares and knickknacks. Other board members are Karen Baker-MacGrotty, Nick Cheng, George Home, Ben Kendall, Suzanne Kyra and Ted Lau.
Qayqayt Elementary
The New Westminster school district is now seeking requests from community service providers who are interested in providing services and/or programing at the new Qayqayt Elementary School, which is currently under construction.
