SATURDAY 21 AND SUNDAY 22 JULY 2018 CORBY TOWN CENTRE
WELCoME Welcome to the first Grow Festival, two days of water-themed performances, experiences and workshops across Corby town centre. From boats on the water to the creatures that live under it, there will be an imaginary water-filled world of adventure, with storytelling, performances and music. We are confident there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Grow 2018 is the first of a series of outdoor festivals commissioned by Made in Corby and co-produced with The Core at Corby Cube funded by Arts Council England through the National Lottery. As Corby is one of the fastest growing boroughs outside of London, the festivals are aptly inspired by themes of water, light and food – all essential ingredients for growth. This year’s festival is presented in association with Anglian Water, a partnership designed to highlight the environmental and sustainability issues around the growing need of water, so make sure that you visit The Water Zone in James Ashworth VC Square to find out how to use water wisely. We want to specially thank our Grow Festival Community Panel, and the many local people volunteering their time to make the festival happen – we couldn’t have done it without you. Throughout the weekend, and afterwards online, there will be opportunities to give a small donation to help us keep the festival free for everyone. Please give whatever you are able to. And remember to follow us online to be the first to hear details of Grow 2019! We hope that you enjoy our weird and wonderful watery weekend, Helen Willmott Director Made in Corby
Joe Flavin Director The Core at Corby Cube
