Welcome As a big fan of a great night out, I always get a tingle of excitement on receiving a theatre’s new season brochure and I love flicking through it to see what treats lie in store. So I’m really excited about what you’ll find coming up at The Core this season. Audiences came in such large numbers last year that we’re able to put on more plays, more dance, more of our trademark family work, and we can include some really excellent contemporary work which I know you’ll love if you want to try something new. Because of a successful capital bid, supported by a heroic fundraising effort, we’ve also upgraded our sound system and are offering a new programme of live music. The Core has always aimed to be a venue that’s the pride of its community and I hope you’ll be as enthusiastic about our programme as I am.
