We are beyond excited to welcome back the smash hit play Trainspotting Live. This ‘in yer face’ play was a sell out at The Core in 2019 and it is selling fast again so book now to avoid disappointment. For our younger audiences we welcome the ever-popular Room on the Broom by Julia Donaldson in October and The Smartest Giant in Town in November, as well as Potted Panto, a raucous 70 minute trip through 7 classic panto titles and Santa’s Christmas Rescue for under 6s, with a chance to meet Santa after the Weshow.kick off this season with an event like no other. Working with Fermynwoods Contemporary Art and renowned Scottish artist Aeneas Wilder, Child’s Play sees one man attempt to create a giant 8m high cylindrical structure in our theatre space using nothing but 2 tonnes of wooden sticks strategically laid on top of each other. No nails, no glue, just hope, and at the end we will all watch on as the cylinder falls apart like dominoes with one lucky person getting the chance to kick it down.

Welcome

As the nights draw in this Autumn and you are getting bored of the TV, we invite you down to The Core for a packed season of brilliant live performances.

Join us on Sat 17 September at 5pm for The Kickdown. We look forward to seeing you here soon at The Core Joe Flavin, Director 01536 470 4702

Join our fabulously innovative group for young people aged 1218 where all levels of experience are welcome and no formal audition is necessary to join. Participants can enjoy practical experience with visiting artists and theatre directors, and join in with a wide range of theatre skills including writing, devising, performing, stage management and lighting design. Exploring physical theatre, script work, and improvisation, Core Create is a fun, supportive and committed group, and they present a new performance every term.

For families living with financial hardship, we would not want the termly fees to prevent your child or young person being able to take part so, with thanks to the Margaret Giffen Community Fund, we have a limited amount of free, bursary funded places. Please email getinvolved@thecorecorby.com for further 24information.
