Welcome This Autumn Season is completely jam-packed with a huge selection and variety of shows for you to enjoy. We are delighted to announce our Torchlight Acoustic Sessions, a season of intimate gigs in our studio space The Lab bringing some of the UK’s most acclaimed singer songwriters to Corby. The sessions kick off in September with Boo Hewerdine. We have a strong line up of theatre shows this season that are going to get us all talking. Status by China Plate Theatre Company is an Edinburgh Fringe First winner about a man challenging the idea of citizenship and what it is to be British when you don’t want to be anymore. Essex Girl is a hilarious and poignant exploration of what it is to be a young woman from Essex by poet and performer Maria Ferguson whilst Getting The Third Degree, celebrates the life of Laurie Cunningham, one of the first Black footballers to play for West Bromwich Albion in the ’70s and pave the way for a generation of young black players who previously thought that the football world was not for them. Watch out for some special Q&A sessions after each show to have your say on the topics discussed. As we gear up for Christmas, we are delighted to be working this year with New Old Friends on an imaginative retelling of a real classic tale in Swiss Family Robinson. Expect mad machines, friendly dogs and clever penguins in this adventure tale for the whole family. Come and enjoy the season with us. Joe Flavin, Director
