SPRING BACK INTO THEATRE COMEDY MUSIC

Tickets 01536 470 470 www.thecorecorby.com

Welcome Back When we closed our doors in March 2020, little could we have known that we would not be seeing you all again for almost another 12 months. With the hardship that has been endured in our community these past few months, now more than ever, we all need a little something to look forward to in the year ahead. It has been a long road, but we are delighted to now be able to reopen The Core at Corby Cube to provide some much needed music and laughter as well as a place for reflection on what has been a tough period for all of us. 2020 marks The Core’s 10th birthday year and whilst this year has been less than kind to our celebration plans, it has given us some time to reflect on the great achievements over that time. We kept ourselves busy over the lockdown and were delighted to launch Core Calls in late April in response to the pandemic, with support from Northamptonshire Community Foundation. Check out some beautiful illustrations by one of our artists Rosie May on the page opposite. We have also been busy planning our first Stand Up For New Starts course for women returning to the work place which kicks off in February and been out and about with the amazing gig theatre company Pecho Mama to talk about something that has become so important for all of us this past while, family. We Are Family celebrates the beauty of human connection in song and film and will be our first show back in February. Tickets are free but please do book in advance. It’s been a long wait but we are back. Pick out a show or two to look forward to in the coming months. The theatre is open.

About Us

01536 470 470

It’s Our 10th Birthday At the beginning of November we were thrilled to celebrate 10 years since The Core at Corby Cube first opened. We are extremely proud of what we have achieved. Since 2010, we have… • Welcomed more than 325,000 people through our doors including over 70,000 young people • Got 150,000+ people involved in our participatory activities • Supported 4000+ local artists • Hosted 250+ shows from community groups • Boosted the local economy by £30.2million • Employed over 400 people • Most recently, produced three Grow Festivals with Made With Many (formerly Made in Corby) We have loved every minute of our first 10 years. Here’s to many more!

Core Calls During lockdown we knew that the Arts had an important role to play for the community. We commissioned four local artists to man our phones and speak to people in the area who faced loneliness and isolation. Each of these artists then created work in their chosen medium based around some of the chats they had. We named this our Core Calls project. We love these vibrant pieces created by Rosie May in response to her conversations. More responses to the project will be shared at www.thecorecorby.com.

Staying Safe While we are still the same theatre that you know and love, as you would expect we have had to make a few small changes to the way things work to ensure everything is Covid-safe for all of our audiences, artists and staff. We will be using e-tickets which can be checked hands free. You can either print off or present your ticket for scanning on your phone.

We will have staggered arrival times for different levels of the auditorium to ease crowding and limit queuing.

Audience members will be asked about potential symptoms and temperatures will be taken on arrival. Please DO NOT ATTEND if you feel unwell or have symptoms of Covid-19.

Please wear a mask at all times unless you are specifically exempt, or are eating or drinking.

Staff and volunteers will be on hand throughout to guide audience members to their seats and to toilets.

Please maintain a 2m distance from other parties, avoid touchpoints at all times and observe the one way systems, barriers and signage in place.

Hand sanitiser will be available upon entry and exit. 4
