LGBT+ Society
Women of Colour Collective
LGBT+ society aim to maintain a strong LGBT+ Community and to be a fun and friendly support network for both members and non-members of the Society. We also focus on the welfare of our members, and look to engage in awareness and visibility campaigns and outreach work, both on and off campus.
The Women of Colour Collective is a community space and we aim to address the impact of race, gender, sexuality, class and other factors on the lives of Femmes of colour across campus. We also have a mission to end discrimination through education, as well as enhance the awareness of mental health issues on campus and provide a safe space where we can offer help, advice and support.
Feminism Society The principle aim of the Feminism society is to provide an inclusive environment that raises awareness of and campaigns for intersectional gender equality. We also hold weekly meetings to discuss and debate issues surrounding feminism.
(for BAME, low socioeconomic, LGBTQ+, Disability or long term health condition groups)
Women Students Collective The Women Students Collective supports the activities and interests of women students on campus. It is free to join and we run events and campaigns throughout the year.
African & Caribbean Society (ACS) aims to enrich awareness of the
different cultures of African and Caribbean nations. We provide a wide range of opportunities for our members to take part in engaging and enjoyable activities. We want to educate and empower our members through our various cultural and social events. 8227 02/20
