I love getting students involved in both industry and academic research, taking these experiences and using them in my teaching. My research explores the ways in which film and immersive technologies are exposing innovative content to fresh audiences on new platforms. I’m part of the Royal Holloway StoryFutures AHRC Cluster, creating partnerships with creative and tech companies to develop new story experiences using next generation technologies.”

National Research Assessment Exercise

Our position as one of the UK’s leading research intensive institutions is confirmed by the results of the latest (at time of printing) Research Excellence Framework (REF), 2014. Its scoring system measures research quality in four categories, with the top score of 4* indicating quality that is world-leading and of the highest standards in terms of originality, significance and rigour.
