Dear Members: Please see the updates provided in this email as we continue to re-open our facilities. This booklet will provide you with the necessary information and guidelines for the Club’s operations. As a reminder, these protocols are in place for your safety and to create the best possible experience for you and your family. The following areas have had adjustments as we continue to navigate the complexities of the current environment. Our goal is to offer the most amenities and services in the safest, most responsible way possible. • • • • •

I.

RECOMMENDED HEALTH PROTOCOLS

In accordance with Governor Abbott’s executive order, the following are recommended health protocols for all individuals in Texas. Royal Oaks Country Club will apply these standards to its practice for the safety and wellbeing of its Members and employees. •

Maintain at least 6 feet separation from other individuals not within the same household. If such distancing is not feasible, other measure such as face covering, hand hygiene, cough etiquette, cleanliness, and sanitation should be rigorously practiced.

If you are sick, stay home!

Evaluate yourself before going to the Club for any of the following signs: o Cough

o Diarrhea

o Shortness of breath

o Feeling feverish or measured temperature above 100 degrees Fahrenheit

o Chills o Repeated shaking with chills o Muscle pain o Headache o Sore throat

o Known close contact with a person who is lab confirmed to have COVID-19

o Loss of taste or smell •

Wash or disinfect hands upon entering the Club and after any interaction with employees, other members, or items in the Club.

Per the Harris Country Face Mask Order, all people over the age of 10 must wear a facial covering over the mouth and nose in any Club building. Masks must be worn while walking from the front door to the dining room, from outside into the golf shop, etc.

Vulnerable populations should consider staying home when at all possible.

II.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Club Access: •

Access to Royal Oaks is limited to Members only with limited guest privileges.

Members should expect to check-in to verify their tee time, sports club access, tennis court reservation, pool access or dining reservation.

ALL Members and guests over the age of 10 must wear a facial covering while inside any Club buildings. This includes walking to and from your table in the dining room.

Members should be reminded to call or email for a time to meet with Club administrative staff in lieu of “stopping by”.

III.

CLUB OPERATION GUIDELINES

The following pages are operating guidelines and procedures for phasing in the opening of areas of the Club. These guidelines have been developed in collaboration with other industry professionals and where appropriate, governing bodies related to these areas. We have taken into consideration current recommendations by state, county, and local governments as well as appropriate government health agencies.

MEMBER DINING AND CLUBHOUSE We are so happy to be able to welcome you back to the dining rooms! The following protocols are in place in the best interest of you, and your family’s health and well-being, as well as our staff and their families. With that in mind, please refrain from dining with us if any of the following pertain to you: • • •

You are exhibiting any symptoms of the coronavirus: mild to severe respiratory illness with fever, cough and or difficulty breathing, or other symptoms identified by the CDC. You or anyone in your household has been in contact with someone with COVID-19 in the last 14 days. Have traveled to a high risk COVID-19 area in the last 14 days.

As a community we must all use common sense to ensure the safety and wellbeing of ourselves and our Royal Oaks Country Club community. 4


Reservations/Bistro Dining Room | CURRENT OPERATIONS: •

• • • • • • •

The following protocols are in place to manage reservations in the dining rooms: o Reservations are mandatory for Club dining rooms; no walk-ins will be accommodated. o Reservations can be made by reserving online through the website or calling the Club’s main line at (281) 899-3200. o Reservations will be limited to no more than 10 people per reservation or table. o Guests are allowed o Dine in Service will be available Thursday – Sunday. o Reservations will be taken in 15-minute increments (ex. 5:30, 5:45, 6:00 p.m.) based on availability and in accordance with occupancy standard per the State’s order. Food To-Go is available Tuesday – Sunday. The Bistro Lounge, Bistro and Bistro Terrace dining rooms will be available for member dining Thursday – Sunday. Reservation times will be limited to 90 minutes per seating to accommodate as many members as practical. Lunch will be available from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Dinner will be available from 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. (last reservation will be at 8:30 p.m.) Please arrive as close to your reservation time as possible, but not more than 15 minutes in advance of your reservation time. ALL Members and guests over the age of 10 must wear a facial covering while inside any Club buildings. This includes walking to and from your table in the dining room. The Bistro Bar is not available for dining / seating, no congregating at or near the bar will be permitted. Please do not stop at the bar to order drinks as drink orders will be taken from your tables.

What to Expect in the Dining Rooms: • • • • • •

Please be seated at your table upon entering the dining room. Congregating near the bar or around your table is not permitted. Staff will be directed to keep hands to themselves. No hugs or handshakes for mutual health and safety. Single use menus will be provided or QR codes can be scanned with your phone for a paperless option. Tables will not be set with silverware, glassware, or other traditional tabletop items. Tables will be set with clean, gloved hands upon your arrival. Sugar, Salt & Pepper, and other condiments will be provided on request. 5


No checks will be presented to eliminate another shared touch point. Receipts will be available on request. Humm service feedback tablets will not be available but please feel free to use the suggestion box on the Club’s website to give feedback. No buffet offerings until further notice.

Palm Grille Dining Management | CURRENT OPERATIONS: •

• • • • • •

The following protocols will be implemented to manage reservations at the Palm Grille. In order for our team to properly prepare and serve you, reservations will be mandatory for The Palm Grille (inside and outside seating). Seating will be limited to no more than 10 people per table. Reservations must be made by reserving online through the website or calling the Club’s main line at (281) 899-3200. The Palm Grille will be available from 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Dining times will be limited to 90 minutes per seating to accommodate as many members as practical. Palm Grille reservations are separate from Swimming/Pool reservation. No congregating in or near dining areas will be permitted. ALL Members and guests over the age of 10 must wear a facial covering while inside any Club buildings. This includes walking to and from your table in the dining room.

What to Expect at the Palm Grille Dining Areas: • • • • • • • • • •

Please check in with a staff member upon arrival. Staff will be directed to keep hands to themselves. No hugs or handshakes for mutual health and safety. Single use menus will be provided and QR codes can be scanned for a paperless option. Tables will not be set with silverware, glassware, or other traditional tabletop items. Flatware and napkins will be provided upon seating. Disposable serve-ware and flatware will be utilized for singe use. Sugar, salt & pepper, and other condiments will be provided on request. No checks will be presented to eliminate another shared touch point. Receipts will be available on request. Humm feedback tablets will not be available but please feel free to use the suggestion box on the Club’s website to give feedback. No buffets will be offered; however, a full menu will be available along with some special features on select days. All beverage will be served at the table. Please do not congregate at the Pool / Turn service windows. If you utilize the Pool service window by the Turn, please be mindful of others and keep 6’ between you and other members. 6


Reservations are required to enjoy the pool areas and we encourage you to sign up in advance. Dining at the Palm Grille is not a reservation for the Pools.

The Turn: • • •

The Turn is open from 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. No self-service food offerings are available. Floor markers will be placed to encourage distancing when ordering.

TENNIS/PICKLEBALL – CURRENT OPERATIONS: As we expand availability for tennis and pickleball, the following protocols are put in place in the best interest of you, and your family’s health and well-being, as well as our staff and their families. With that in mind, please refrain from playing if any of the following pertain to you: • • •

You are exhibiting any symptoms of the coronavirus: mild to severe respiratory illness with fever, cough and or difficulty breathing, or other symptoms identified by the CDC. You or anyone in your household has been in contact with someone with COVID-19 in the last 14 days. Have traveled to a high risk COVID-19 area in the last 14 days.

As a community we must all use common sense to ensure the safety and wellbeing of ourselves and our Royal Oaks Country Club community. General Tennis/Pickleball Protocols | CURRENT OPERATIONS: • • • • • • • • • •

ALL PLAYERS MUST CHECK IN BEFORE PLAY AT THE SPORTS CLUB FRONT DESK. Play is now open for Members and guests, with a maximum of 4 players per party/reservation. Arrange to play only with family Members, others who live in your household or with individuals who are considered to be low risk. Court reservations are required. Court reservations will be limited to 1 ½ hour maximum at this time. No gatherings of groups courtside or in the parking lot in conformance with CDC guidelines. The restrooms at the pool are open. Courts will be available for reservations 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. The ball machine is now permitted. Please bring your own sanitizing wipes to sanitize the ball machine before and after use. Lessons will be a maximum of 6 participants. 7


Prior to Arriving: • • • •

Please reserve your court online. Please list all player names on reservation. Please supply your own racquets as demo service is unavailable. Please bring your own tennis balls. One can per person, clearly marked for that individual to serve with. Ball sales, carts and equipment are unavailable. Please bring your own water or reusable water containers. Water and ice machines should be activated with the end of your racquet. These are high touch areas so please use appropriate precautions. Please bring your own towel as no towel service is currently available.

Clay Court Protocols: • •

Maintenance staff will be on duty: 6:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. If the reserved court is not available or ready, please refrain from using a different court. Please be courteous of court maintenance staff and wait until after they have left the court prior to entering your reserved court.

Playing Protocols: • • • • • •

If players are still on your court upon your arrival, please wait until they leave the courts before entering. Ensure no physical contact during games – do not shake hands or high five. Please continue adequate physical distancing from other players when taking a break. When changing ends please change ends on opposite sides of the posts or if possible do not change ends at all. Use your racquet/foot to pick up balls and hit them to your opponent. Avoid using your hands to pick up the balls. Please arrive at the Club no more than 15 minutes prior to your reservation time.

Lesson Protocols: • • • •

Lessons will be up to 1 ½ hour in duration. Lessons will be a maximum of 6 participants. Team drills and drop ins are currently offered with a maximum of 6 participants. Reservations are required. GOLF / GOLF COURSE - CURRENT OPERATIONS: The following protocols are put in place in the best interest of you and your family’s health and well-being, as well as our staff and their families. With that in mind, please refrain from participating in golf, or any golf-related activity, if any of the following pertain to you: • • •

You are exhibiting any symptoms of the coronavirus: mild to severe respiratory illness with fever, cough and or difficulty breathing, or other symptoms identified by the CDC. You or anyone in your household has been in contact with someone with COVID-19 in the last 14 days. Have traveled to a high risk COVID-19 area in the last 14 days.

As a community we must all use common sense to ensure the safety and wellbeing of ourselves and our Royal Oaks Country Club community. Current Golf Operational Status: Golf Services: •

Guests are permitted

All players will ride in a single cart unless living in the same household.

The Golf Course is open Tuesday through Sunday. Starting times are in 10-minute intervals from 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Members may make tee times in advance via the Club website as per their Membership category privileges.

X’s will be removed according to the Club’s rules, effective immediately, to free up tee times for all Members. Please pair up when reasonable in an effort to free up tee times for fellow Members.

Once on property, please check in with the Starter. The Golf Shop is open from 7:30am 6:30 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.

Club MGA & WGA events are being discussed and new schedules will be posted soon.

Golf Lessons and clinics are available by appointment for up to 6 players.

ALL Members and guests over the age of 10 must wear a facial covering while inside any Club buildings. This includes when walking in and out of the Golf Shop.

MEMBERS ARE TO PRACTICE GOOD PHYSICAL SOCIAL DISTANCING HABITS (PHYSICAL SEPARATION OF AT LEAST SIX FEET) AT ALL TIMES WHILE ON PROPERTY AND ARE NOT TO LOITER AT THE TURN, PARKING LOT, PUTTING GREEN, ETC. BEFORE OR AFTER PLAY. 9


Golf Shop: The Golf Shop is open with normal hours. Regular wipe down of countertops, fixtures, door handles, phones, and other high touch areas are completed by the golf staff throughout the day. Golf Cart Service: Golf Cart services will resume. The Golf Staff will thoroughly clean and disinfect golf carts after each use. While using carts, please follow the designated driving rules as set daily by the Pro Shop and stay on the cart paths as much as possible. Bag Room Service: Club storage is open. Practice Facilities The Driving Range will open for practice with open to normal usage.

Golf Instruction: Golf Instruction is now available for Members and Guests for private, individual lessons resumes by appointment for groups of up to 6. Fittings are available for Members and Guests and are performed by appointment only. Locker Rooms: •

The Locker Rooms are open for locker, shower and restroom use only.

SPORTS CLUB /SPA/ PERSONAL TRAINING- CURRENT OPERATIONS: As we expand availability for the Sports Club and Personal Training, the following protocols are put in place in the best interest of you, and your family’s health and well-being, as well as our staff and their families. With that in mind, please refrain from using the Sports Club if any of the following pertain to you: • • •

You are exhibiting any symptoms of the coronavirus: mild to severe respiratory illness with fever, cough and or difficulty breathing, or other symptoms identified by the CDC. You or anyone in your household has been in contact with someone with COVID-19 in the last 14 days. Have traveled to a high risk COVID-19 area in the last 14 days. 10


Regular wipe down of countertops, fixtures, door handles, phones, and other high touch areas are completed by the sports club staff throughout the day. In accordance with Governor Abbot’s executive order, capacity in each of the rooms in the Sports Club has been implemented and reservations are required to ensure your spot. • • • • • • • • • • • • •

Hours of Operation: Monday – Friday, 6:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. / Saturday -Sunday, 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Reservations are required for use of all areas of the Sports Club: Cardio Room, Strength Room, Cycle / Row Room. Time slots in the Cardio and Cycle Room are in 30-minute increments. Time slots in the Strength Room are in 30-minute increments. Please bring your own mat to class; mats will not be provided at this time. Aquacize classes are available for up to 7 participants plus instructor. Personal Training is available for one-on-one sessions or small group up to 4 (inside or outside available). Pilates sessions are available with an instructor only (max of 2 plus the instructor). Physical Therapy services available by appointment only. Guests are permitted at this time Massage Services are available.

Use of rooms are based on reservations only. No walk ins allowed. Maintain at least 6 feet separation from others not within your family group. Please sanitize your hands upon entering the Sports Club and after you use each machine. Please wipe down each machine when you are finished using each piece of equipment. Gloves are optional but recommended and will be available at the front desk or you may wear your own. Locker Rooms, including showers and restrooms, are available. Sauna and steam room will remain closed. Beverage station, shared newspapers and magazines will not be available. 11

Hours of operation will be from 6:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Two lanes will be available for lap pool swimming by reservations only. Lane 3 (lane closest to The Palm Grille) will be designated for adult open swim during specified times. Please register and reserve for access through the "Sports Club" Sign Up portal. https://signup.com/go/aHjycUJ Time slots for Lap Pool swimming are 30-minute increments (with a maximum of one hour). Time slots for adult open swimming/lounging are one-hour increments (with a max of two hours – lane 3 only). Adults only at the Lap Pool (18 and older). Adult guests are permitted at this time with a maximum of six in your group. No shared equipment. Towels are available. Private swim lessons available. Parent may be required to be in water to allow distance between instructor and child.

Family Swimming Pool – CURRENT OPERATIONS: General Protocols for the Family Swimming Pool(s) • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • •

Per the order set forth by the Governor, swimming pools may be open with reduced capacity. The following protocols will be implemented to manage usage. Reservations are required for members to use the Family Pool. (Lap Pool reservations for lap swimming are available for adults only). One reservation per family per day is available. Reservations will be taken 2-hour and 15-minute increments with 15 minutes in between reservations to allow time for staff to sanitize. (ex. 10:00 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 3:00 p.m., 5:30 p.m.) No shows or cancellations within one hour of your reservation time will incur a $25 cancellation fee. Walk-ins will not be accepted. Family Swimming Pool reservations are separate from Palm Grille reservations. Dining at the Palm Grille does not imply access or a reservation for the use of the pool areas. Guests are permitted at this time with a maximum of six in your group. The wading pool will be available for those with reservations at the Family Pool. The Splash Pad is open. Towel service is available. You may still bring your own towels. Water stations will not be available; however, service will be available for refreshments. Lifeguards and service staff will be sanitizing touch points and surfaces at regular intervals. Wash or disinfect hands after any interaction with other members or employees or items at the pool. Maintain at least 6 feet separation from others not within your family group. The family group may not exceed 6. Consistent with the actions taken by many individuals across the state, consider wearing cloth face coverings (over the nose and mouth) at the pool when within 6 feet of another person who is not a member of the individual’s family.

Prior to Arriving • •

Book your reservation online. You must check in at the lifeguard station upon arrival and give all names in your group before you will be seated in family groups around pool. Walk-ins will not be accepted.

Fishing – Currently available Fishing will be permitted as allowed per Club Rules and Regulations. 13

We look forward to the return of the ROCC Stingray swim season in 2021!

Youth Programs CURRENT OPERATIONS: Sports Camp • • • • • • • • •

Weekly registration and will run through August 7 for ages 5 – 14. Click here for sign up. Click Here for Camp Details and Forms Single day sign-ups will not be permitted. Enrollment is limited due to group size and appropriate distancing. Participants will have their temperatures taken upon arrival and at lunch. If the temperature is above 100 degrees, parents will be notified to pick up their child. Sports Camp hours: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. / 12:00-12:30 p.m. Lunch / 12:30 – 3:00 p.m. Activities. Contact sports will not be played and sports instruction will be geared toward technique and drills. We will provide sports equipment for limited shared use and will assist in sanitizing between use. You are welcome to provide your own. Counselors will make every effort to enforce distancing between children during activities. Parents are encouraged to send their children with water bottles and their own sanitizer to use as needed.

Golf Camps •

Golf camps for the 2020 summer season have concluded. Please contact the Golf Shop for individual instruction.
