MY FAVOURITE PLACE Loch Eck by David Fiddes LRPS Loch Eck from the Larach
Loch Eck is a hidden gem on the western edge of the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park. It is orientated north to south with high hills on either side so it gets no “golden hour” light. As someone who never learned to “do dawn”, that is not a problem. The benefit of the hills is that, when winds are light, one has a good chance of mist and mirror-like reflections, particularly in autumn. Winter snow on the tops is also transformational.
