1.Introduction
Welcome to this mid-February edition of our newsletter. We have rationalized our events for the next 6 months, with a trip to King’s Wood to see the Bluebells now live. The RPS seems to be in state of flux, however we are carrying on as usual with 2 important events shortly:
1) Online LRPS advisory day – this next week, and will be the first since we moved to digital only for LRPS. I will give the feedback next time. I am looking forward to our excellent host, David Jordan’s critique.
2) The 2025 AGM is scheduled for Tuesday 7/3/25 at 1900 via Zoom. I expect to put this event on the web site this week. In the meantime, please send any items you wish to include in the AGM to me. Here is the agenda, which is fundamentally the same every year. You should know that finance in the regions is being dealt with differently now and it is worth tuning into the AGM to hear how.

2.What has happened in the SE region since the last newsletter
Our visit to Brick Lane unfortunately had a few last-minute cancellations. Despite this and the very cold weather we produced some great images. Stephen Todd’s image above is very atmospheric. It is interesting to note we found it much easier to take images of food vendors than stall holders. The stall holders were fairly reticent when asked for permission! More pictures on ISSUU at the end of the newsletter.
3.News in the region
Our budget for 2025 was accepted. You will know that the CEO and Hon. Treasurer are leaving the RPS. This is an important year for the RPS as RPS House in Bristol is to be sold. The SE has a busy programme planned for 2025 with a mix of Click events and workshops. New for this year is a phone camera workshop and ideas to visit motor bike and banger racing.
