Bursaries at Royal Russell School
We are a family school which values the things which make each of us distinctively brilliant. Our commitment to each other is to help every member of our community strive for their vision of success – to take a wider view of what their personal ambitions are. Our Bursary programme is an incredibly important part of the Royal Russell identity. Our school was founded in 1853 to give the children of orphaned textile workers access to education. Now, our Bursaries help families ensure that finances are not a barrier to a Royal Russell education.

Royal Russell School provides an excellent all-round education in a family-like community allowing future success to all those fortunate enough to experience and make the most of the Royal Russell opportunity.
Growing up locally, as well as being aware of the excellent facilities and opportunities at Royal Russell, I was particularly drawn to the exceptional sporting activities. I was fortunate to attend the school in sixth form as a boarder, taking advantage of all elements of the Royal Russell experience

The school invests in each and every individual to ensure opportunities were available in our educational, sporting and personal development throughout our time spent at Royal Russell and beyond.
As a pupil, I achieved excellent grades upon leaving the school and am proud to have left a lasting legacy as being part of the first U18 Independent Schools Association Boodles National Cup victory for the school in 2017
The support, guidance, care and dedication provided in all aspects my schooling, both as a day and boarding student, helped my city career to flourish once leaving Royal Russell.
I am extremely proud and indebted to the school for everything they provided to help me shape the person I am today. I’m equally pleased and proud to represent the school as an Old Russellian to enhance and promote the Royal Russell Community for future generations
