This extremely rare and flawless D color diamond, Golconda in origin, is of the most unusual size, weight and perfection. Weighing over 50 carats, this exquisite gem, gleaned from the mines of India, originally belonged to the extraordinary collection of jewels owned by the late H.H. Begum Sultan Mohamed Shah Aga Khan. After acquiring this exceptional Type IIa diamond, Cellini re-cut and polished the stone twelve times in pursuit of the perfect gem. This sacrifice of time, effort and patience on the part of Cellini’s gemologists and cutters ensures world-class jewels of a celestial quality. Love Stories Set in Stone

T

hroughout his lifetime, Mr. Winston believed that behind every great diamond was a fascinating story. That diamonds, like people, were most precious for their individuality. And that our most meaningful moments should be marked with jewels so exquisite and rare that they would forever serve as glittering reminders of our most cherished memories. One of Mr. Winston’s greatest gifts was to impart his fascination with the beauty, the romance, the majesty and the mystique of great gemstones to a clientele that ranged from heads of state to Hollywood stars. Harry Winston’s renowned collection of rare jewels has been compared with those amassed by royal houses and governments alike. Since 1932, some of Harry Winston’s most extraordinary diamonds have played a prominent role in commemorating some of the greatest romances of our time, from expressions of love— such as the flawless pear-shaped stone presented to Elizabeth Taylor by Richard Burton; to symbols of commitment—like the legendary Lesotho III diamond engagement ring given to Jacqueline Kennedy by Aristotle Onassis; to one of-a-kind jewels, for once in a lifetime celebrations.

“ A good diamond is a possession to be prized for generations.…” – Mr. Harry Winston

When you purchase a Harry Winston engagement ring, our legacy becomes yours.

Instilled in every Harry Winston diamond is an incredible sense of pride, grounded in decades of experience and tradition.

O

ne of the world’s leading independent jewelers for more than 40 years, Cellini is renowned for its unparalleled selection, impeccable quality and gracious service. This year marks the beginning of a new chapter in the company’s storied history as Cellini opens a new flagship boutique at 430 Park Avenue. Situated at the corner of 56th Street in Midtown Manhattan, the spacious showroom is home to an extensive collection of the world’s finest watch brands. “We’ve created an inviting and immersive space where guests are free to explore rare timepieces from more than 30 top watchmakers. Our goal was to bring together the very best watches from around the world and showcase them in one location to give collectors an opportunity to compare and discover watches that they simply can’t get anywhere else,” says Leon Adams, Cellini’s founder and president.

PERFECT TIMING Adams has always been passionate about haute horlogerie. In 1977, it led him to open his first showroom in the Waldorf-Astoria hotel, where his collection of hard-to-find timepieces struck a chord with a growing group of American collectors, who were rediscovering the art of mechanical watchmaking. As Cellini’s reputation grew through the years, so too did the scope of its collection, which featured historic maisons such as Girard-Perregaux, Jaeger-LeCoultre and Vacheron Constantin. They were joined by a cast of up-and-coming

watchmakers. In fact, before they were horological celebrities, many of today’s most recognizable brands got their start in America at Cellini like: A. Lange & Söhne, De Bethune, Franck Muller, Greubel Forsey, Laurent Ferrier and Richard Mille. Even now, when digital media makes it easy to discover new watch companies, Cellini is one of the only places where you can not only see those watches, but also feel them on your wrist. A veteran of countless watch fairs in Basel and Geneva, Adams has seen trends come and go, deepening his perspective and sharpening his ability to quickly separate the timely from the timeless. That keen eye, fueled by his genuine excitement for watches, is why collectors trust Cellini. “We’re constantly looking for new and innovative watchmakers, but we’re extremely selective about who we represent,” Adams explains. “Finding a brand that produces unique watches isn’t enough. The watches — and the watch company — must be built to last. Quality is foremost in everything we do at Cellini.” Today, Cellini covers the horological spectrum with a phenomenal collection that appeals to all types of enthusiasts. Budding aficionados in search of their first fine timepiece will appreciate the opportunity to compare so many different brands. Meanwhile, savvy collectors will prize the unmatched selection of rare watches on display. “The depth of our collection means you can find what you want, when you want it. That selection is what sets us apart and the reason people keep coming back.” Adams says.

But selection is far from the only reason connoisseurs opt for Cellini. Another is the knowledgeable staff, who are dedicated to providing impeccable service before, during and after a purchase. Cellini’s horological specialists live and breathe watches, and they draw upon that experience to help each watch lover find the perfect fit. “Buying a watch is easy. Buying the right watch takes time. For us, the greatest satisfaction is helping someone find a watch that they never want to take off their wrist,” Adams says.

RADIANT PERSONALITIES Beyond horology, Cellini is also home to a worldclass collection of jewelry that ranges from custom showpieces to timeless classics. Naturally, diamonds play a starring role in Cellini’s showcases, where they can be found in a gleaming assortment of shapes, sizes and colors, including an extremely rare, radiant-cut chartreuse diamond. Diamonds are joined by a multitude of vibrant gemstones and lustrous pearls — gathered from sources around the world — that are used to create countless shimmering works of art.

Cellini’s new Manhattan flagship is conveniently located at 430 Park Avenue on the corner of 56th Street.

A gemologist’s dream, the jewelry highlights some of the rarest gems on Earth, from Burmese rubies and Kashmir sapphires to alexandrite, an extraordinary gem whose color changes in natural light. The settings used to show off these natural wonders are equally exquisite and range from timeless designs to contemporary styles. Alongside Cellini’s signature creations are exceptional pieces crafted by some of the world’s top jewelry designers. There’s something to satisfy every taste, from the Old-World craftsmanship of Carrera y Carrera, Fabergé, Masriera and Wellendorff, to the modern artistry of Pippo Perez, Sutra and Victor Velyan. Whether you seek understated, overwhelming, or something in between, the extraordinary scope of Cellini’s collection opens up a world of possibilities. Irresistible jewels, sophisticated horology, dedicated staff and an inviting new venue — it’s no wonder that after more than 40 years, Cellini continues to be one of the most respected and successful boutiques of its kind. ¨ Left: Richard Mille RM 11-03 McLaren Automatic Flyback Chronograph

Such coverage and continued success is a testament to Opera Gallery’s continued pursuit for quality artistic practice and an unrivalled commitment to building strong relationships with our artists and patrons, built upon the cornerstones of loyalty and trust. Pierre Soulages, Zao Wou-Ki and Yayoi Kusama. The group notably launched and supports Spanish painter and sculptor Manolo Valdés, Spanish painter Lita Cabellut, Swiss painter Andy Denzler and Austrian sculptor Alfred Haberpointner. It has also played a pivotal role in enhancing the international recognition of Bernard Buffet’s lifework. Thanks to Gilles Dyan’s unique and innovative approach and insight, the gallery has become an important incubator, where emerging and established artists coexist. Under his direction, the collection has grown to include over 100 international artists, turning Opera Gallery into one of the world’s most diverse and eclectic gallery platforms. The group’s fervent interest in diversity fosters the most interesting artistic encounters. Each year, the gallery’s exhibition program strikes the perfect balance between classical values and contemporary innovation. In the last couple of years, we presented a number of global exhibitions of the emblematic works of Manolo Valdés (including his first solo exhibition in Asia in the spectacular Gardens by the Bay in Singapore) and French painter André Brasilier (André Brasilier in New York), masters shows, thematic exhibitions (Asia Week in New York) and an array of presentations bringing to the forefront our artists such as David Kim Whittaker alongside Korean and Italian contemporary masters. Opera Gallery looks forward to continuing to bring you more engaging artworks and exhibitions, celebrating the broadness of our reach.
