Young & Rubicam a premier advertising agency has just announced a new corporate identiy for two of their groups. Y&R and Young and Rubicam Brands which encompases employees from various agencies under the WPP umbrella. There was an urgent need for print materials and a method to manage future print requirement. For years, Wunderman Worldwide in New York had been using our PrintOne technology. Y&R turned to Print by Premier + More to design a web based procurement system and we delivered. THE CHALLENGE Like any large diversified organization, Y&R and Young and Rubicam Brands are made up of many groups in various cities all requiring the same “look and feel” of their print materials. Internally, Y&R took on the responsibility of developing the Y&R and Brands logo and corporate branding brochure. It was imperative that the print source maintains consistency, and the guidelines, to a “Tee”! This was a new look for the entire corporation. Management at Y&R felt that the technology in place for their sister company Wunderman would offer a solution for the Request-Proof-ApprovalReporting-Inventory, while maintaining the high quality an ad agency requires.
THE SOLUTION Print and deliver a new Corporate Idenity and branding of this stationery project and deliver an E-commerce system to automate and streamline the procurement process. Print by Premier + More of New York City a print partner for many years proposed and delivered our PrintOne technology to twenty-five offices nationally. Training was all handeled via web-ex and manuals in powerpoint. While developing this online solution, the team at Print by Premier + More met many times with the Y&R staff to ensure the integrity, sustanability of the system, design needs, quality of the printed materials, customer service and training manuals. “It Did”!
THE RESULTS Y&R and Young and Rubicam Brands launched a new online business paper ordering system, which provides desktop access to a E-catalogue of business cards, letterhead, envelopes, note cards, memo pads and inventory items. After selecting a design, the staff member can customize the item, see a proof, select a location for shipping, billing, and have delivery of the materials within 5-7 business days. This catalogue services over 800 users, in various locations and groups. Our automated system has maintained the corporate brand while streaming the procurement process, reducing costs and improving the workflow and production times.
