The Client, successfully launched a National Print procurement, proofing, inventory and corporate store available 24/7/365 days a year. The firm could now rest assured their Brand image; level of service to all of their business units was handled in the same manner.
Global Advertising Agency One of the Worlds premier Advertising agencies with over 6 billion in revenues in 2008 and a leader creating innovative branding, marketing and advertising campaigns for clients needed a solution to handle their own print requirements. With locations throughout America and the Globe it was their desire to streamline the process for ordering of variable data printing, maintaining their corporate identity, and offering all business units a Web enabled solution available 24 hours a day 365 days a year. These business units also have the requirements to have a corporate store for materials such as marketing materials and promotional items. They reviewed various technologies and selected the “back to the basics” solution provided by Print by Premier + More.
THE CHALLENGE: Like any diversified firm with numerous locations and thousands of people all on different schedules their needed to be controls in place to guarantee enforcement of corporate design standards, approvals of variable data materials, re-orders of inventoried materials, managements approvals, order tracking, shipment selection types, and the elimination of excessive spending through redundancy and obsolescence. They also had painted backs on their business cards (5 versions) In the past they had issues with bleeding, smudges and this needed addressing as well.
PROGRAMMING: The Print One System was developed as an extension of “rules” governing their brand. True fonts, PDF style proofs, and levels of approval were set up by location. This would eliminate 99% of all typographical and interpretation errors when faxing order requests like in the past. After all with more success than most other firms in this market place they needed to produce their own materials in an effective and streamlined process
IMPLEMENTATION: After meeting with the Marketing personnel and purchasing staff we worked on a plan to launch a comprehensive and intuitive On-line System. The system would have the look and feel of their own Intranet giving it the same look and feel. Next were the training manuals, which were made available as very simple screen captures, and information bubbles explaining the steps to create and request and order. (Very simple all pointing and clicking) A Web-X demonstration was also provided to insure that all the managers were comfortable with the new system and procedures that were being put in place
THE SOLUTION: Within a few weeks the comments had been, • “Why didn’t we do this sooner • “This is so easy and simple to use” • “Wow, we can track and get real time information” • “The proofs are awesome, this will eliminate mistakes and save time”
THE CONCLUSION: The Client, successfully launched a National Print procurement, proofing, inventory and corporate store available 24/7/365 days a year. The firm could now rest assured their Brand image; level of service to all of their business units was handled in the same manner. Costs which have fluctuated by region (volumes) were now streamlined using the same products eliminating obsolescence and reducing expenses. Best of all when different regions had materials printed they had the same identical look and feel, which is very hard for Marketing People to control; now it was the norm through the “back to the basics solution” Best of all the backers which had been an issue in the past were resolved by using the correct stock and adding a silk lamination, with 5 different colors having the appeal of a green, red, orange, purple and blue is only good if it all looks the same.
