Tremendous color 13.75 x 21.75 closed circuit poster for the ‘Thrilla in Manila,’ the third and final boxing match between world heavyweight champion Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier on October 1, 1975, at the Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City, Philippines. Signed in black felt tip by both legendary boxers inside the terrific LeRoy Neiman artwork. Double-matted and framed to an overall size of 20.25 x 28.25. In fine condition. Starting Bid $200

Scarce program for the “Jimmy Fox Banquet” [sic] held in the slugger’s hometown of Sudlersville, Maryland on November 7, 1933, 5 x 8, signed on the front cover in pencil and ink by many of those in attendance, including the honored guest. Signers include: Jimmie Foxx, Connie Mack, Mickey Cochrane, Connie Mack, Frank ‘Home Run’ Baker, Bill McGowan, Rube Walberg, Bing Miller, Mule Haas, Max Bishop, and Lena Blackburne. 853. Babe Ruth Signed Check. World War II-dated personal check, 8.25 x 3, filled out and signed in bold fountain pen by Babe Ruth, “G. H. Ruth,” payable to Cartier for $13.50, December 12, 1941. In fine condition. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA. An exceedingly desirable Ruth check that dates closely to a significant moment in American history. Five days prior, the Japanese attacked the Pearl Harbor naval base in Honolulu, an event that prompted the United States to officially enter WW2 on December 11th. Starting Bid $500

ally rare 5.5 x 8.75 illustrated portrait of “John L. Sullivan, Champion of the World,” signed and inscribed in fountain pen, “John L. Sullivan, at 24 years of age, to Robt Leggitt.” Caption to lower border reads: “Photographed by Mora, expressly for the Illustrated Times…Only Genuine Portrait ever taken in Ring Costume.” Encapsulated in a PSA/DNA authentication holder. In fine condition, with wear to edges and horizontal folds, one passing through the first letter of his surname. Accompanied by full letters of authenticity from JSA and PSA/DNA. 1992 Barcelona Olympics torch, comprised of aluminum and plastic, measuring 26″ in length and 7″ at its widest point, designed by Andre Ricard. The metal body is inscribed in gold text, “XXV Olimpiada Barcelona 1992,” and bears the emblem of the Games. The sliding red switch to reverse is engraved “000070.” Exhibits some minor scuffs to the rubberized handle. The massive fiftyday relay included nearly 9,500 torchbearers who carried the Olympic flame by foot and bicycle for a total of 5,940 km throughout Spain. The lighting of the cauldron at the opening ceremonies was especially memorable, as Paralympic archer Antonio Rebollo ignited the cauldron by shooting an arrow lit from the Olympic flame. Torch. Official International Olympic committee (IOC) centennial torch, constructed of aluminum and wood, measuring 21.75˝ in length and 6˝ at its widest point. The main body is ribbed in a fashion similar to the 22 reeds found on the Atlanta torch, with a band above the wooden handle engraved with the names of all the host cities and their dates since 1896. An elegant, unused torch commemorating one hundred years of Olympic excellence. Starting Bid $200
854. Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics Torch. Of-
ficial 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics torch, constructed of aluminum and various polymers, measuring 37.5˝ in length and 5.75˝ in width, developed by a team led by Vladimir Pirozhkov and Andrei Vodyanik. The torch was modeled after the feather of a Firebird or phoenix; its silver represents ice and the red denotes the fires in the mountains around the resort. Upper portion bears the Sochi Games logo, with one label reading “111.” The cover, which features some scuffing, was previously detached to remove the torch’s propane; as a result, the lower seal was cut, the interior adhesive broken, and the cover no longer connects tightly to body. Includes the original torch relay carrying bag, and a custom-made display stand. Starting Bid $200
