French neurologist (1857–1904) best known as the namesake of Tourette syndrome, a neurological condition characterized by tics; his main contributions in medicine were in the fields of hypnosis and hysteria. Extremely rare ALS in French, signed “Gilles de la Tourette,” one page, 5 x 8.25, Exposition Universelle de 1900 letterhead, December 2, 1900. Untranslated handwritten letter by the notable French neurologist. In fine condition.
