Caroline Janse

A word from our Project Manager BSc

As the Project Manager Bachelor, I’m responsible for the supervision and guidance of all the bachelor committees. I am looking forward to this year and I’m excited to meet you all!

My name is Caroline Janse and I am the Project Manager Bachelor of the XLVth STAR Board. During my three years as a bachelor student I was always a passive member of STAR and focussed all my time on my studies as there was not much else to do during the pandemic. In my last year of Business Administration I decided that I wanted to apply for a Board year to meet new people and gain some experience before starting my Master’s. So far it has been great and most of all, a lot of fun!

If you are looking for a new fun and exciting challenge, apply for a committee that you’re interested in! Doing a bachelor committee at STAR is a great way to make new friends, enhance your skills and develop yourself even further! Committees organise parties and events and it’s also a great networking opportunity.

After all, star has ensured that I have met a lot of nice, new people. Some of them I can even call my best friends! I can recommend being active at Star if you are looking for fun, but also educational activities!”

Annabel van der Heide

Active member in the spotlight

“After I started my studies in September and I survived the first few months in Business Administration, it was time to delve into student life. A student association wasn’t quite my thing, but I still wanted to do fun things and meet new people. I soon came across the study association star! I went to a number of get-togethers where there was a cozy atmosphere and found out about the various Icommittees.signedup for the eurekaweek committee. Together with 5 other students, we organized the eureka week for star. We immediately clicked with each other and had a lot of drinks. Even when Corona was quite a spanner in the works, we saw each other regularly through online meetings. Organizing the Eurekaweek was a difficult task. We worked very hard together and the eureka week

turned out to be a huge success. Even after the Eurekaweek we continued to see each other and we became even Aftercloser!this

committee, I wasn’t done at star. I signed up for the events committee. With 5 very nice students we organized the events for star during the year. Even then, Corona still played a major role. My personal favorites were the online wine tasting and the cocktail workshop. We also had a lot of pleasant evenings with this committee, where we ate delicious meals and of course drank lots of drinks.
