Union M e e t i n g E x t r a o r d i n a r y ! LAST Thursday, RCS Union attempted a t an e x t r a o r d i n a r y general meeting t o s e t i t s own mind at r e s t about i t s finances. A r e s o l u t i o n was passed a s k i n g i t s r e p r e s e n t a t i v e s on ICU C o u n c i l t o demand a r e e l e c t i o n f o r the p o s t of Deputy P r e s i d e n t i n v i e w of the way i n w h i c h an a t t a c k on Ian W i l l i a m s had been p e r m i t t e d i m m e d i a t e l y b e f o r e the election without giving him a chance t o p r o d u c e a defence .

CONFLICTING STATEMENTS The meeting got under way w i t h a m o t i o n from Mr Duckett a s k i n g t h a t a f u l l statemen t of f i n a n c e s s h o u l d be g i v e n t o the RCSU. He s a i d t h a t a t the moment there were two c onf l i c t i n g s t a t e m e n t s r u n n i n g round the College. There was the F E L I X statement t h a t RCSU was broke and the l e t t e r of Mr P a i n w h i c h s t a t e d t h a t RCSUhad £750. F E L I X had g o t i t s s t o r y from the RCSU Committee meeting and

t h a t as f a r as he c o u l d t e l l i t was mainly accurate. I n doi n g h i s r e s e a r c h he had found t h a t the minutes of the p a r t i c u l a r Committee m e e t i n g were a d i s g r a c e as t h e y b r i e f e d over the whole b u s i n e s s and t o l d n o t h i n g of what had been s a i d .
