CIVIL AVIATION ACT (OVERSEAS TERRITORIES) ORDER 2001 CIVIL AVIATION (INVESTIGATION OF AIR ACCIDENTS AND INCIDENTS) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 2014
(Legal Notice 1 of 2014) MADE by the Acting Governor pursuant to section 75 of the Civil Aviation Act 1982, as extended to the Islands by article 4 of the Civil Aviation Act 1982 (Overseas Territories) Order 2001.
Citation and commencement 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Civil Aviation (Investigation of Air Accidents and Incidents) (Amendment) Regulations 2014 and come into force on 3rd March 2014.
Amendments 2. The Civil Aviation (Investigation of Air Accidents and Incidents) Regulations 2003 are amended as follows— (a) in the definition of “accident” in regulation 2(1), after “disembarked”, insert— “or in the case of an unmanned aircraft, takes place between the time the aircraft is ready to move with the purpose of flight until such time as it comes to rest at the end of the flight and the primary propulsion system is shut down,”; (b) regulation 7(3) is omitted and the remaining paragraphs of regulation 7 are re-numbered accordingly. EXPLANATORY NOTE (This note is not part of the Regulations) These regulations amend the Civil Aviation (Investigation of Air Accidents and Incidents) Regulations 2003. The definition of “accident� is amended to include an accident involving an unmanned aircraft. Regulation 7(3) is omitted.
