ENACTED by the Legislature of the Turks and Caicos Islands.
Short title and commencement 1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Public Holidays (Amendment) Ordinance 2014 and shall come into operation on publication.
Interpretation 2. In this Ordinance the “principal Ordinance” means the Public Holidays Ordinance.
Schedule amended 3. The Schedule to the principal Ordinance is amended— (a) by inserting immediately after paragraph 7 the following paragraph— “8. National Youth Day
Last Friday in September”
(b) by renumbering paragraph 8 as paragraph 9 and repealing the words “Columbus Day’ and substituting with “National Heritage Day”; (c) by repealing paragraph 9;

(d) by inserting immediately after the renumbered paragraph 9 the following paragraph— “10. National Day of Thanksgiving
Fourth Friday in November”; and
(e) by renumbering paragraphs 10 and 11 as paragraphs 11 and 12. ____________________________
