N. 786 AUTHORITY TO PERFORM FUNCTIONS OF PREMIER I, ANYA WILLIAMS, Acting Governor of the Turks and Caicos Islands, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 35(1) of the Constitution of the Turks and Caicos Islands, hereby authorise the HONOURABLE RICARDO DON-HUE GARDINER, Minister of Border Control and Labour, to perform the functions of the office of the Premier during the period November 23 to November 29, 2013, or for such shorter or longer period as the Premier may be absent from the Islands.

N. 788 AUTHORITY TO PERFORM FUNCTIONS OF MINISTER WHEREAS section 35(2)(b) of the Constitution provides that whenever a Minister is unable, by reason of illness or absence from the Islands or absent from his or her duties on leave, to perform the functions of his or her office, the Governor, acting in accordance with the advice of the Premier, may assign responsibility for the performance of the functions of that Minister to another Minister (including the Premier); NOW THEREFORE, I, Anya Williams, Acting Governor of the Turks and Caicos Islands, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 35(2)(b) of the Constitution and acting in accordance with the advice of the Premier, hereby authorise the Honourable Rufus Ewing, Premier, to perform the functions – (a) conferred on the Honourable Minister Charles Washington Misick, Minister of Finance, Investment and Trade, during the absence of Minister Misick from the Islands, with effect from November 29, 2013 until December 8, 2013; (b) conferred on the Honourable Porsha Stubbs-Smith, Minister of Health and Human Services, during the absence of Minister Stubbs-Smith from her duties on leave, to take effect from November 21, 2013 until November 22, 2013; (c) conferred on the Honourable Akierra Missick, Minister of Education, Youth, Sports and Culture, during the absence of Minister Missick from the Islands, with effect from November 29, 2013 until November 30, 2013; and (d) conferred on the Honourable Amanda Misick, Minister of Environment and Home Affairs, during the absence of Minister Misick from her duties on leave, with effect from November 29, 2013 until December 3, 2013.
