Book design of Orwell´s famous

dystopian novel Nineteen Eighty-Four with Czech translation. This was a semestral project, in which we cooperated with Advertisng Photography Studio. I´ve used photos of everyday objects, which were allocated by The Party to people of Oceania. All photos were taken by Daniel Macek.

I´ve created set of icons, where each one somehow relates to the story. Book cover contains symbols of Doublethink, Ministry of Love and Ingsoc logo. Some of the symbols are stylizations of specific things, others are abstract ones. Icons are used at the start of every chapter. The square always contains icons, which are related to specific part of the story, where the photo is placed.

means „home“ literally and it

refers to traditional Slovak folk symbolism. An actual package is house shaped box with minimalistic labels. You can find 4 little jam jar´s looking glasses inside. This way of serving alcohol is another reference to home made feeling.

DOMOV also means DOM OVOCIA, which is an acronym for words „dom“ and „ovocie“ and is literally translated as „fruithouse“. Home made alcohol used to be associated with quality, tradition and taste. Decorations and icons stylizations are based on symbols on houses in Slovak village named Čičmany.

Box is constructed in a simple way, it can be folded in a while without using a glue.

sive interviews with Slovak or foreign musicians, or recordings from live gigs and festivals. Radio also offers author´s discussions programs with various actual topics, which resonate in contemporary urban culture.

Main element in this online campaign are vector portraits of people, who are part of radio´s broadcast services. I tried to reach their likeness by using minimalistic lines of their characteristic features.

Set of icons, where each one represents another program. Some of them are specifically related to the show´s theme, like the book for the talkshow about literature, others are abstract ones, which have no direct link to show´s topic.

Examples of Facebook covers for various shows. Red background is for evening talkshows, the black one is for music shows about different music genres, and white one is for regular daily shows. There were used 20 various show´s cover designs optimized for Facebook and web.

There were also realised 15 short animation clips for every programme. Every one was somehow linked with the topic of the show, this screenshot is one about the visual arts.

Concept of visual identity of 18th documentary film festival in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The event took place in march 2016 in various cinemas in the city. My project was the submission to a student´s design competition during my exchange study on University of Ljubljana, but eventually wasn´t selected.

The logo contains simple square shape with 18 dots, since it´s 18th year of the event. It should also remind shapes of film strips.

There´s 5 sections in the programme, so I chose different flavours for representing every one of them. Bitter taste of broccoli for Topical, Socially critical section, sweet taste of potica, typical Slovenian pie, for Intimate Portrayals. Sour lemons for Myths, Icons, Medias, salty salami for Retrospective section and finally tomato, which has not quite specific flavour, for the main competition on Human rights theme, which contain movies of different documentary genres.

Key visuals of the posters use pieces of food, which are composed according to a grid within the logo. They are placed on the letters of the festival´s name, which are printed on the sheet. Eventually the final photo were shot.

I decided to make all of the food pieces in green colour. It gives the final visual more unexpected look, but it supports festival´s basic colour scheme. The form and shape of the food in such shades provides more interesting visual impulses to the audience. It requires more focused and engaged perception, which is usually necessary during the documentary movie screening.

Poster for conference called „Water for everyone“. The topic of the event was water and its usage in different contexts. There were number of lectures from architects, designers, scientists and artists about different aspects of water´s presence in daily life.

A poster about migration crisis in Europe. It depicted a vague and generally misconcepted perception of portrayed words. Refugees are forced to leave their country because they are at risk of, or have experienced persecution. The concerns of refugees are human rights and safety, not economic advantage. A migrant is a person who makes a conscious choice to leave their country to seek a better life elsewhere.

Technology-themed custom calligram. I´ve made poster with stylized icons of various social networks. Every icon is filled with my opinions and ways of usage of the specific network.

Poster design concept for There will be blood, a 2007 American epic drama film written and directed by Paul Thomas Anderson and starring Daniel Day-Lewis.

Poster about thirst. This piece is a part of ongoing project of poster series, which will be animated into one endless loop as a GIF.

Stylized caricature of current Slovak prime minister, Robert Fico, which also served like paper box for handkerchiefs. The poster is anti-campaign for second round of Presidential Elections in Slovakia in March 2014. The slogan says: „People deserve handkerchiefs“. It´s an ironic wordplay with his own campaign´s slogan, which says: „People deserve securities“.

reviews, parts of interviews with frontman Michael Gira, also fragments of their past live show´s posters, which were created by various artists. Eventually there was made a book, which provides an insight to their powerful music.

On the upper an lower sides of the pages are written the lyrics of their song called Lunacy. Its position is a reference on covers of their previous albums. They have a similar layout. Also the lyrics „Your childhood is over“ are from the same song, and they are repeatedly sung at the end of whole tune.

The typesetting should remind the feeling, which audience experience during their live gigs. An intention was to induce a restlessness, or maybe strange tension..

Series of posters for a fictional 90´s themed festival of Czech cinema. It was a collaboration with photographer Simona Petrlová.

In order to catching the true spirit of the 90´s, we´ve used three photos from our childhood instead of taking new pictures. Everyone of them is somehow graphically connected to specific movies thanks to the usage of simple retouching postproduction. Despite their genre, they are stylized according to pop magazines for young audience in the 90´s. The first movie called „Cesta pustým lesem“ (A journey through the empty forest) is referred through the popular winter olympics game. The second movie called „Rychlé pohyby očí“ (Rapid Eye Movement) used popular toy Wiggle eyes. The third one called „Návrat Idiota“ (An Idiot´s return) refers to the main character, who has a nose bleeding few times during the story.
