The organization extends hospitality and assists in developing an image of the Hereford industry. We encourage the young people of Nebraska to learn through actual practice, as well as the great potential of Hereford cattle. HWN does this through many activities, including supporting contests and scholarships for the Nebraska Junior Hereford Association as well as the Nebraska Hereford Queen program.

I want to thank you all for allowing me to represent our state again as the 2023 Nebraska State Hereford Queen. My name is Grace Pinckney, daughter of Justin and Sarah Nelson, and Zach and Dani Pinckney. I am 20 years old and currently a second year at Southeast Community College in Beatrice, NE. I have been involved in the Hereford Association for the past eight years and have been on the Jr. Board for the past four years. Being a part of this association has been more like being a part of a family. I have grown a passion for the Hereford breed and love serving our breeders and youth. I have learned so much through showing, being on the board, and as the State Queen. I plan on staying a part of this Association as long as I can and being an active member.
