WELCOME TO THE 2013-14 CHAMPIONSHIPS THIS PAST YEAR BOTH THE MAJOR PEE WEE AND MINOR BANTAM YSE TEAM WON their respective Ontario Minor Hockey Association (OMHA) Championships and therefore qualified both teams, now Minor Bantam and Major Bantam the opportunity of hosting the OMHA Championships.

YSE is the only centre in the OMHA to host two Championships on the same weekend in the same arena. The York Simcoe Express have chosen the Bradford West Gwillimbury Leisure Centre in the town of Bradford to host this year’s Championships.

The York Simcoe Express (YSE) are affiliated as the “AAA” Hockey Centre of the following Minor Hockey Associations: • Aurora Minor Hockey Association • Bradford West Gwillimbury Minor Hockey Association • East Gwillimbury Minor Hockey Association • Georgina Minor Hockey Association • Newmarket Minor Hockey Association • Schomberg Minor Hockey Association

The OMHA Championships are played over a period of three days with 5 teams in each Championships. The Championship teams represent the winners of the South Central AAA (SCTA) / Eastern AAA (ETA) East and West and the host (YSE – 99 and 2000). Over 200 of the best 13 and 14 year old hockey players will be representing their communities over this three day event.

The format is round robin with the 1st and 2nd place teams after the round robin playing in the GOLD MEDAL GAME on Sunday.

The winner of the BANTAM OMHA Championship will go on to represent the OMHA at the Ontario Hockey Federation (OHF) Championships the weekend following these 2012 / 13 OMHA Major Pee Wee Champions Championships.
