Thesis project
Brief: To design an Electric Scooter with variant as a Delivery Vehicle and other utility needs and delivery options for the delivery process working with a scooter
The delivery scooter emphasises on the tough character and takes its inspiration from the muscular arrangement of a human being (mainly focusing on the chest and shoulder region of the human muscles).
The combination of these muscles are used as an inspiration for the structure of the delivery scooter’s design.
The inspiration of the scooter project came from studying the delivery process and the attributes which make it a delivery scooter.The attributes like Toughness, Rigidity, Robustness, Agility, Briskness and Versatility could possibily make a delivery scooter possible for its utility.
These design directions show Bulkiness, Sharpness/Edge, and the third direction gives a sense of Dynamic tweak wraping the tough character.
Sketches show the pannels inspired from the muscular arrangement The side pannels shown as with a more dominant and simplified structure.
Taillights are inspired from the controls and symbols.Variations of tail lights and their arrangement are shown, following the design language

The CAD developement starts with a variety of surface formation according to the concept renderings and sketches.Autodesk Alias was used to generate the CAD.

The delivery box contains self interlocking sliders containing sockets for the interlocking. As the box slides over the rails it locks in the position thus, making it easy to load and unload the boxes.

A tag which contains personal information of the rider/delivery guy. Tag acts as a key/ignition switch It stores the assigned information of the delivery guy for eg(delivery address,location and payment details).

Brief: to create a hatchback for Alfaromeo with an electric powertrain, keeping the heritage of the brand. Marea is designed after the brand’s nature of being harmonious and essential, sculpted on a substance to reveal almost an organic power.
The F1 gets its stamp on the Marea, it has the racing habits of a 70’s formula car. Every crease depicted on it will rewind the brand’s racing heritage.
Alfa romeo’s creations have always expressed a design that is pure, essential and free of redundant details. Its traits revolve around an unparalleled passion for performance, dynamism and quality.
The grille ‘The Trilobe’ is the most iconic front end in the automotive industry. it is inspired from the gills of a mushroom following an organic character.
Every line, every proportion is conceived to reach a superior areodynamic performance with the sculpted expression.The organic and sharp fusion lets a rude apearence to the Alfa.
The rear is muscled up as per the brands design language to show the unleashing power.

Autodesk Alias used to model the Marea Alias model of Alfa Romeo Marea derived from the FIAT punto. An ideal vehicle with the superior performance and weight balance.

Oruborous is a buggy made for the sands and the normal roads. It biomimics
the armadillo lizard’s abilities It is made for the wanderers to beat up the trails and cruise the open roads.
The Oruborous takes its identity from the armadillo lizard also known as Desert Girdled Lizard. The sharp and calm nature of an armadillo lizard finds its way on the design of the Buggy.
The buggy’s personality gets a Reptile way with a sick stance. The Oroborous shows the brawny and sharp structure of the lizard, the buggy follows the overlapping scaled body of the lizard with the overlapped hood design.
A mix characerised by the unmistakable style of an offroading culture born for the sand which can still find its way through the roads.

The Armawheel Biomimicry
The armadillo lizard rolls up itself when in danger from its predators.making the scales on its body to showup and avoid being consumed. This ability to adapt itself in case of danger inspires Oruborous’ Armawheel i.e, biomimicing the adapting behaviour, showing up the offroading treads of the wheel according to the road conditions similar to that of the scales raised by the lizard.

Working 1. The Armawheel has electromagnets linked at equal intervals on the hub in a circular manner, each of which holds the sliding guiderails for the nickle alloy unit to move freely situated opposite to each electromagnet respectively. 2. The Nickel Alloy unit is attached to the Graphene sheet by a shock absorbing material. When the current is induced in the electromagnets, each one of them attracts or repels the nickel unit through the guiderails thus, stretching the graphene sheet, resulting in the change of treads of the tyre which makes it adapt according to the road or sands.

R igel is a stirredup mix between a flat tracker and a cafe’racer peeking into the modern world with its roots in the retro culture. The motorcycle is made for those who like to ride solo and for commuting the streets
The retro vibe takes on the rigel’s appearence, designed after the bomber aircraft and streamlined as the airstream trailer to give it a hint of past and speed.
Rigel has a different postiton,a flat tracker and a cafe’ fused to form a different breed of a motorcycle. The bike is designed to give a feeling of an enclosed cockpit of an aircraft with a steep riding posture.
The closed and riveted appearence to depict an aircraft, with traditional spoked rims.
Sharp lines and edges incorporated to show an expression of aggression on the streamlined body.
The wing like fork assembly replaces the tubular forks. Tail lights gather its inspiration from the Aircraft�s tail fin. The handlebars show the features of a dirt track bike shaped like an aircraft’s front tip.
1.Rigel replaces the traditional fork assembly with a specially designed single coil spring unit with short travel forks for the guidance. 2.The coil spring gives it a soft ride and the smaller forks gives a short travel for city roads. 3.Rigel has a mono suspension unit at the rear directly mounted of the motor which actsv as a stress member connecting the swingarm.
