Do not Stand at M
Mary
Do not stand at my grave and weep. I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints in snow, I am the sunlight and ripened grain. I am the gentle gentle Autumn rain. When you awake in the morning hush, I am the swift upflinging rush Of quiet birds in circling flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and weep. I am not there, I do not sleep.

Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep. I am in a thousand winds that blow, I am the softly falling snow. I am the gentle showers of rain, I am the fields of ripening grain. I am in the morning hush, I am in the graceful rush Of beautiful birds in circling flight, I am the starshine of the night. I am in the flowers that bloom, I am in a quiet room. I am in the birds that sing, I am in each lovely thing. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there. I do not die.
Sep 2016 - Jun 2017 Description: The aim of this project is to provide an environmentally-friendly way for the Chinese young generation living in developed cities to honor the dead in the future. My design took its inspiration from traditional elements in Chinese culture and intends to convert them to create a series of public honoring spaces located in communities, where the interaction between users and the space was also designed. Moreover, an interactive light installation was placed in the Yin space for building a communication channel between the living and the dead. SOLUTION
CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT Layout of the Space
Yin Yang Pattern
Public Honoring Space in communities Why? - Save land resource (not cemetry) - Convenient (to come on private memorial days) - Prevent traffic jams - Environmentally-friendly - Safe - Easy for creating ritual sense through interaction with the space
Metaphor (transfer the elements
CONCEPT Positive Psychology Jesse E. Roberts, June 2016 Grief itself is not pathological, but instead is a natural process of emotions that occurs after experiencing the loss of a loved one. The most helpful things we can do are listen to the grieving individual with non-judgmental ears, allow them to talk and cry, and accept the grief of the individual as it is.

Meaning of Yin Yang Pattern - The world is made up with Yin and Yang - Yin and Yang contain each other Changes - Yang space is a larger and higher space to be an open space for social use - Yin space is a smaller and shorter to be a private space for honoring the dead - The transition area is long and becomes narrower and darker for increasing ritual sense

This represents he or she helps the dead person go to the good place (heaven) Moving forward All the name cards witih lines will move forward according to the time by program with the help of a sliding track. They should be installed at the same starting point and should be take back home after three years when it reaches the end point of the track. This represents they have been in mourning for three years and its time for them to feel relieved because they help the dead person go to the good place (heaven) by conducting raising name card ritual.
