Project one A Market Hall for Liverpool
The focus of this project is the use of material systems, their construction principles, production, characteristics and application, and how they condition the structural, spatial and environmental qualities of a medium-sized building.

Section & Structure system
The concept of origami structural system of this project just use single sheet of paper to fold it. Origami structural surface always present the geometric aesthetic. It has plenty of challenges in architecture field. At the beginning, the aim is make it can be self- supporting, in other words, make it become one supporting structure, the roof, and facade, all the envelope can forms a single whole system, not only cover space, but also act as load-bearing structure, not need any other structure element. The principles of origami structure is folding the sheet to achieve an increase in stiffness at minimal expense of weight, increase in strength with aesthetic appeal.

Project two Machiya As with many creative people, artists are fully committed to their craft and frequently share living and working space both individually and collectively. the traditional japanese
typology
of
MACHIYA
which, literally translated means town-house/shop, encapsulates this idea.

Project three
-Mass and Void
Housing: Courtyards for Assisted living This project will explore and develop spatial ideas generated by and through the theme of Mass and Void. I will use the conditions of Mass and Void (or positive and negative) as the principle tool of transformation, to generate, organise and distribute spaces and functions, as well as to define the building’s relationship - its placement and connectivity within its context.
Page 22
initial idea
these spatial ideas will be developed through housing for Assisted Living that will form a closed organism evoking pre-modern houses, seemingly detached formally from the street and the city.
