01 Clifton Library Functional Building Design Architecture Indivisual Work May, 2020

Clifton is a city located to the north of Cincinnati, Ohio. A large number of residents live here. The purpose of the design is to make people's lives easier. This is a multifunctional library where people can not only read, read, learn, but also do business, catering, and organize events. As the average age of the city is relatively low, the library is designed mainly for young and middle-aged people.

02 Surrealist community Conceptual Community Design Architecture Indivisual Work November, 2020

Surrealism is one of the most influential art movements of the 20th century. Its influence in literature and visual arts is still everywhere today. In this project, I used surrealism as an inspiration, starting from the original fragmented information with the predecessor of surrealism, combined with various problems in society as a reflection, to reorganize and develop a surrealist community. It is a perfect community of conceptual abstraction that can accept and tolerate all kinds of marginal figures in society. The community contains five buildings, which represent people's pursuit of housing, food, art, entertainment, and memorial.

07

DADA POETRY

POETRY EXPRESSION

Surrealism originated from the careful thinking of Dadaism. Dadaism mainly opposes inherent rules. Artists will break the inherent habits and rules and use different methods to create new art. I used Dada poetry to cut the words I saw in the newspaper into pieces and put them together to form my poem. Then use the meaning of poetry as I understand to create a drawing.

The half-open door cannot be seen clearly behind it represents some things in society that cannot be on the stage, people's discrimination and unfair treatment. The small person in the middle holds the human heart in his hand, which represents people's various pressures, including mental pressure, social pressure, self-doubt, facial anxiety, and work anxiety. The tower is an expression of death, and people nowadays tend to be pessimistic about death.

08

MOOD BOARD

DESIGN CONCEPT

Humans are social creatures. People in society now generally have some psychological problems. They will also feel physically and mentally exhausted. People are under various pressures from birth, from childhood parents and family, schoolwork, work, interpersonal relationships, love, education, etc. At the same time, there are phenomena such as unfair treatment, herd mentality, moral kidnapping, privacy exposure, and death fear. Human nature and society are inseparable, and people are often forced to become what they are now because of the current society.

SITE PLAN The appearance of fractal is random and natural. If you zoom in on the fractal image, you will find many repetitive and regular patterns. The community does not exist completely at random. In order to avoid being as rigid as the traditional Founder community, the distribution of fractal as the community will make the community naturally random and regular.

Expression

In a surrealist community, people no longer have social restrictions, and people's thinking will be more flexible and jumping. The entire building is enclosed in a ring, and diversified curvilinear elements are added, making the building no longer a dull box, but a flowing artwork. The works in the art exhibition area release the spiritual world of surrealist artists.

The curly shape of the building means that marginalized residents can pay more attention to and accept themselves without any restrictions. The curly shape of the housing faces the other facilities of the community, allowing them to immerse themselves in this surreal world and ignore the comments of the outside world.

The building can be not only solid, but also hollow and diverse. People vent their inner emotions through various entertainment activities. This building gathers many functions that seem impossible in reality to be adjacent to each other in the same building, making the whole building a large upright amusement park.

Reception

This community does not exclude death, but actively faces and respects it. The shape of the death memorial tower coils from the bottom, and people can also walk from the tower to the top at the same time, which means that people slowly move from the world to heaven. The height of the tower allows people to see the entire community on the tower.

Everyone is an island on the road of life. Each coffee bean building represents an independent and relatively private space. Dining can bring happiness to people, and people can get along or be alone in the building more freely and casually.

03 Leisure Harbor Landmark Design Architecture Indivisual Work February, 2021

Over the centuries, many adventurous events have occurred in the harbor. The harbor has a different seaside culture from other places, and it also has the sun and sand that people love. However, they are always far away from cultural centers and are easily overlooked by people. Marina di Loano is an ancient port, but even today, just like in the past and the sailor era, the surrounding residents still need to live a prosperous life through the port. People's lives can be enriched by building landmark harbor buildings, and the city's economy can be developed through tourism.

LOCATION ANALYSIS

Marina di Loano is a modern tourist port located in Liguria, Italy. The Loano area is located on the coast of Riviera delle Palme, between the towns of Pietra Ligure and Borghetto Santo Spirito. Loano is made up of piers, seagulls, colorful stucco and palm trees, dotted with a vast coast, stretching for miles from Cannes to Portofino. Loano is one of the most beautiful piers in Italy. The port is not only the infrastructure for navigation, but also the soul. The climate in this area is Mediterranean. Compared with other regions, the climate in Loano is very favorable because the region is less affected by winds in the northern quadrant.

1959

The port built in the 1960s is about the same size as the largest port planned by Bonfiglietti. It was built when Loano fishing became less and less important.

In the 70s, many floating piers were built, and the port can now accommodate 450 ships of different types and sizes, which was impossible 40 years ago. There are also more ships and better quality.

2011

The Marina was completed in 2011 and is now open all year round. Marina di Loano can accommodate large boats up to 65 meters long and offers many elegant facilities.
