SIMON THE PIPER Simon is a full-time, professional Highland Piper and he has been playing for over 20 years. He is the appointed Civic Piper to the City of Herefordpossibly the only civic bagpiper in the UK and is also the Pipe Sargeant for the Henllys Pipes and Drums in South Wales. Simon has performed at many high-profile functions in and around Herefordshire and these include the opening ceremony for the Knife Angel’s visit to Hereford Cathedral in 2021 and recently appeared on TV piping around the county for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. Simon specialises in funerals and ceremonial occasions as well as many other events and is a very well-known piper in the West Midlands and South Wales.
