Ashley Plantation Community Residents: It is hard to believe that Runk & Pratt is starting its 3rd year as owners of Ashley Plantation Golf Course. We are so thankful to be part of this community. The golf course is coming off a tremendous 2019 season, and we were so looking forward to what 2020 had in store for us. So far, 2020 has turned out to be a challenge for us all — one that we did not see coming and will remember for a lifetime. During these trying times, one of the things we are thankful for is the early spring. The weather seems more like early May than early April. With the great weather and the need for us to distance ourselves from others as much as possible, some sort of exercise is a welcome break from the walls we find ourselves surrounded by. As part of your community, we want to remind you of a couple of important items as you enjoy the outdoors: First, the golf course is open. We are practicing all protocols that state and local governments are asking of us (we have been inspected several times by local officials, each time with a nod of approval). See our Facebook page for details on precautions. We welcome any of you to come play, no matter your experience level. Golf is a terrific game and great exercise, and it’s a practical way to enjoy the company of others while practicing social distancing. Second, we will be enforcing guidelines for non-golf traffic walking on the golf course. We have welcomed our neighbors to walk on the cart paths in prior years. That invitation is still open. However, as with the original invitation, non-golfers walking on the course are restricted to times when golfers are not present. Please use the cart paths only early in the mornings or late in the evenings. Please do not walk anywhere on the golf course other than the cart paths. If you see golfers, the course is closed to walkers. This requirement for walking on the golf course is for your safety and for the experience of our golfers. We will have staff patrolling the course during hours of play. If you are approached by our staff asking you not to be on the golf course, please know this is for your safety. Our staff will be courteous but firm in enforcing this rule. We ask that you respect the fact that you are welcome to walk, but only during times golfers are not present. (Note: Fishing on any of the lakes/ponds within the golf course is prohibited for the safety of the fisherman and the golfers.) Compliance with these guidelines is appreciated. Thank you for your understanding. Please contact the Runk & Pratt Corporate Office at 237-2268 with any questions.
