圖騰跑傳說 TOTEM Legend

全城野人圖騰跑。山林號召永續行! 人類,從來都是大自然的一部分,與動物共同享有森林原野、高山峭壁、低谷激流。 然而,隨著城市發展,人類漸漸遠離山林,只視大自然為假日喧鬧嬉戲之地,四處 遺下垃圾,更肆意侵蝕綠林,山野因此失去光彩。

作為森林守護者的圖騰豹,眼見家園的種種傷痕,決定號召所有動物向人類發出呼

喚!有「百獸之王」稱號的狂獅,自覺有責任保衛山林,於是立刻響應,走遍 57 公里號召百獸;而與人類關係密不可分的靈猴,也舉手加入,花盡氣力跑了 16 公 里召集其他動物。

緊隨圖騰豹,狂獅及靈猴帶領一眾動物於山頂集合。山下的人類看到如此景象,

都禁不住上山查看究竟。當人類到達山頂,圖騰豹就向人類發出最誠懇的請求:

人類曾以山野為家,應當存有愛護之心,好好延續與動物共同擁有的一草一木、 一山一水。

面對眼前眾多動物團結一致、不分你我地保護山林,人類都心中有愧,好不動容。

深深反省後,人類許下承諾,重拾野人之名,重投山林之中,好好修復草野樹木, 並愛護大自然如初。

從此以後,每年就在這天 ― 10月天,野人們及眾動物與山林約定在一起,狂野疾走,

盡情融入山野之間,以「圖騰派對」狂歡慶祝!

10 月 7 日,圖騰豹、狂獅、靈猴與各位野人整裝待發!山上見!

RUN WILD! Run Our TOTEM Chant the sustainable anthem!

For since our existence, human has always been part of nature, sharing the wilderness, steep cliffs, gushing rivers, with fellow wild beings. Yet, with the development of urban cities, we start to turn our backs to the mountains, taking it as our occasional playland, leaving behind traces of rubbish, corroding the greens, and striping the mountains of its organic charm. TOTEM LEOPARD, the guardian of forests, decided to place a WILD CALLING to all habitants in jungle! LION, responded without hesitation, to fulfill its responsibility as the King of Beasts, and ran 57km to gather as much animals as possible; as for the closely related kin, MONKEY also joined right away, and shouted-out to many others in its 16km journey. On this day in October, ever since, wild runners took to action and rediscover the mountains with their own feet, joining the animals to celebrate at the TOTEM PARTY! October 7th this year, TOTEM LEOPARD, LION and MONKEY, call out to all wild runners: See you at the Top!

關於全城街馬 社會企業「全城街馬」相信跑步不單為跑手帶來樂趣,更能為跑手自身、身邊人

以至社區帶來正面改變。「全城街馬」鼓勵青少年透過有趣、系統性的街跑活動及 訓練,達致最終完成十公里賽事的目標,從中改善體能,並培養出樂觀進取、永

不放棄的馬拉松精神;「全城街馬」亦多次在不同地區舉辦街馬及圖騰跑賽事。自 2013 年底成立至今,「全城街馬」已培訓超過 7000 位青少年,吸引超過 55,000 位跑手參與不同賽事及活動,及為超過 14 所慈善機構籌款。「全城街馬」團隊都

是充滿熱情、追求卓越的跑友,為推動城市的跑步文化及實現各社會目標而努力。

Important notice of baggage storage: 1. 為響應環保,主辦機構以行李牌取代行李袋。參加者請注意寄存行李的尺寸,上限為容量 15 公升或體積

20”( 高 ) x 15”( 闊 ) x 5”( 深 )。如超出容量或體積上限,主辦機構有權向參加者收取港幣 100 元作服務費用。 To go green, the Organizer will provide official baggage tag only but NOT baggage storage bags. Limitation of baggage for official storage is: volume - 15L OR size - 20 inch (L) x 15 inch (W) x 5 inch (D). The Organizer will charge service fee HKD100 for any bag exceeding the limitation.

Please do not leave any valuables in your baggage. The Organizer is not responsible for any loss or damage to any item in your baggage.

1. 請愛護環境,不要亂拋垃圾。 城門水塘一帶是野生猴子的聚居地,猴子的 種類主要為恆河猴及長尾獼猴,都是從外地

引入其後被放生而衍生的。不想成為猴子們

搶掠的目標,就不要餵飼野生猴子,並避免 携帶印有超市字樣的膠袋!也不要瞪著眼觀 察野生猴子,否則會被猴子視為一種挑釁行 為。野人們!和猴子們保持適當距離,就可 以邊走邊欣賞牠們可愛的一面!

3. 愛護動植物

切勿用閃光燈或電筒照射郊野公園的動物。 切忌用手或其他物件拍打、捕捉或傷害野生 動植物。

4. 水樽可引起山火!

被隨處棄置的水樽,經太陽折射,在極乾燥 及 30℃以上高溫環境下,水樽會變成聚熱

點,從而令附近的野草起火終釀成山火。野 人們切勿隨處棄置膠水樽!我們在起點、各 補給站及終點站設有膠水樽回收箱,一起為 愛護山野森林出力!

5. 謹記做足回收工作

大會會於各個補給站提供膠樽、鋁罐及水果

殘渣的回收設備,以減低活動所產生的固體 廢物。大會並會安排工作人員協助及指引野 人們做好回收分類的工作,令回收物品得以 妥善處理,減少對環境所帶來的影響。

6. 自己垃圾自己帶走

留低垃圾於野外會破壞大自然美景,也會污

染泥土或水源,破壞環境!謹記將所有垃圾 帶到補給站或終點處理!

1. Love the environment, do not litter.

Wild monkeys live around Shing Mun Reservoir. They belong to two main species: rhesus macaque and longtailed macaque, both of which were introduced to Hong Kong from abroad. They were subsequently released into the wild where they multiplied. Avoid being targeted by monkeys! Don’t feed them and don’t bring supermarket plastic bags. Don’t stare at monkeys in the eyes as you may provoke them. Keep a safe distance from monkeys so that you can watch them as you walk past.

3. Conserve wild plants and animals Don’t shine your torch or flashlight directly at wild animals. Don’t hit wild life beings with your hands or other objects, and don’t try to catch or hurt them.

4. Plastic water bottles can cause hill fire! Randomly discarded plastic bottles can refract light. Coupled with dry, hot weather over 30°C, a plastic bottle can become a heat concentration spot and cause hill fire. Don’t throw your plastic bottles in the countryside! We have plastic bottle recycle bins at the Finish. We need your help to protect our countryside.

5. Make every recycling effort count The Organizer will provide recycling facility for plastic bottles, cans, and fruit wastes at each Check Point, to reduce the amount of solid waste generated by the event. Officials will also be arranged to assist and guide wild runners to recycle it right, so recyclables will be taken care of, thus minimizing the impact on our environment.

6. Leave no trace Remember to take all your garbage with you, and dispose it at Check Points or the Finish Point. Rubbish left in the wild will deface our beautiful nature, corrupt the soil or water ways.


賽事守則

• 遲到多於 15 分鐘 ( 以起步時間計算 ) 之野人參賽 者,大會將有權取消其參賽資格。

• 野人參賽者須以徒步完成賽事。

• 圖騰部族檢查站內的食物只提供給野人參賽者。 • 野人參賽者須把號碼布掛在上衣正面。

• 大會沿途張貼了路線指示牌,野人參賽者需遵守

大會預設的路線,不可擅自行走捷徑,否則會被 取消參賽資格。

• 隊際成績以最後一位隊員通過終點計算,若某一 競賽組別少於 3 隊報名,大會有權取消該組別及 該組別相關獎項。

• 標距柱是特別為使用郊遊徑之野人及遠足人士而

設,讓他們沿途均可得悉所處位置。標距柱間距為

500 米,W 字頭即代表衛奕信徑(如 W080),

M 字頭即代表麥理浩徑(如 M138)。野人出戰圖

騰跑期間,如遇有緊急事故,可致電大會緊急熱 線 6938 9817 / 5611 3539 或 112 緊 急 救 援 熱

線。野人應可利用就近之標距柱說明其位置,以 協助搜索及救援行動。

• 如野人參賽者在比賽中途退出,必須通知檢查站

內的工作人員或致電印在號碼布上的大會緊急熱 線,否則會當作失蹤處理,大量工作人員甚至警方 將出動遍山搜尋,導致不必要的人力及物力浪費。

• 野人參賽者如需要醫療輔助,可通知圖騰部族檢查

站內的工作人員或致電印在號碼布上的大會緊急 熱線。

• 大會已為野人參賽者購買公眾責任保險,但不包

括個人意外保障。為保障個人安全,野人參賽者應 自行購買個人意外保險及按需要而購買其他合適 的保險。

• 大會保留更改賽事條例及細則、因應道路實際情 況更改賽道或其他安排之權利而無須另行通知。

• 如於活動當日 (2017 年 10 月 7 日 )0 時 0 分或之 後,香港天文台發出三號或以上熱帶氣旋信號、

紅色或黑色暴雨警告,賽事將會取消。請留意活 動 網 頁 http://totemrun.runourcity.org

• 比賽期間如天氣 轉 壞或天 文台發出上 述 警告 信

• 號碼布自定名稱由參加者自行寫於號碼布上。如自

定名稱使人覺得冒犯或具誹謗性,參加者須自行 承擔相關風險。

• Wild participants may face disqualification, should they arrive 15 minutes later than the official start time. • Wild Participants should complete the course only on foot. • Refreshments at the Tribe Checkpoints are available for Wild Participants only. • Wild Participants should fasten your number bibs visibly at the front of your topmost clothing. • Signage is posted along the route, Wild Participants must follow the official route. No short cut is allowed. Or you will face disqualification. • Team result is determined according to the time of the last member to finish in the team. If there are fewer than 3 teams in any race category, the Organizer reserves the right to cancel the category and awards assigned to the category. • Distance posts are designed to help hikers identify their position along the Country Trail. The distance between each distance post is 500m; the W on the distance post means Wilson Trail (e.g. W080); M means Maclehose Trail (e.g. M138). Should an emergency situation occur during the Totem Run race, please call the Totem Run emergency hotlines at 6938 9817/5611 3539 or 112 emergency hotline. Tell them your location by stating the number on your nearest distance post to speed up the search and rescue action. • If you decide to withdraw at any time during the race, you must inform the volunteers at refreshment points or call the organizer’s phone number printed on your number bib. Otherwise you will be considered as MISSING PERSONS, wasting our manpower and even involving the police to search for you in the hills. • If you need first aid, please inform the medical staff at Checkpoints or call the emergency telephone number printed on your number bib. • Public liability insurance is covered by the organizer. This does not include personal accident insurance. We recommend all participants to purchase your own personal accident insurance and other relevant insurance according to your needs. • The organizer reserves the right to amend the race rules, change the race course and make other arrangements as deemed appropriate without prior notice. • The race will be cancelled if the no. 3 or above typhoon signal, red or black rainstorm warning signal is in force at 0:00 on the event day (7 October, 2017). Please stay tuned with the updates on the event website: totemrun.runourcity. org and www.facebook.com/totemrunhk. • When any of the above weather warning signals are hosted or the adverse weather condition happens during the race, the Organizer reserves the right to amend the race route or cancel the event. Please follow the official instructions on-site. All registration fees are non-refundable, all proceeds, after deducting expenses, will be donated to our Beneficiaries. • The Organizer reserves the right to amend the race route or cancel the event in case of route obstruction due to adverse weather, landslide, mud-flow, wild fire, or demonstration. All registration fees are non-refundable. • Personalized bib name is assigned by the participant. Participants will be responsible for any potential liability associated.
