After spectacularly hosting the Olympic Games this summer, London has never been more in the spotlight for the overseas investor. Over the past few months we have brought a range of properties to the market, from a house in St James’s Park at £2.8m to an apartment in Belgravia at £12.25m. The autumn market in Mayfair and Belgravia has started strongly with serious enquiries from buyers at all price points. The implication of punitive tax measures for off-shore corporate entities owning UK property, which were raised in the 2012 Budget, does seem to be filtering through to the market place.
