NOTHER year has passed with cattle prices and seasonal conditions remaining strong, throughout
Australia. We can certainly see a bright and rewarding, long term future, for Australian agriculture, in the global supply chain.
With this in mind, we have recently expanded our business, by purchasing more country in Central Queensland. This has allowed us to increase our numbers of naturally mated animals and also introduce IVF and AI programs into our breeding regime. Our Droughtmaster bulls will be offered across two sales this spring; nine bulls going to Rolleston’s Carnarvon Classic sale on Tuesday September 20, and 12 bulls being catalogued for the Roma Droughtmaster Sale on Friday October 21. For the first time in 10 years, we won’t be selling at the DN Sale, and thus strengthening our remaining sale teams. The best of our 24- to 28-month-old bulls are heading to Rolleston, while our young 19- to 23-month-olds will go through the ring at Roma. The growth and success of our Simmental herd has enabled us to increase our bull numbers at this year’s annual Karragarra Simmental Sale, where 70 bulls will be offered. Our sale team was drafted from 140 of their counterparts, this allowed the selection process to be brutal and only the very best made it through. Our bulls are selected on their natural high-quality attributes and will hold up to the conditions, in which they were born and bred; you can bid with confidence at our sale in Emerald on Friday October 7. This year we look forward to presenting to you, what we believe to be, the most even and high-quality draft of bulls we have ever offered.
