- What was the main reason Automb split up?

Me and Danielle were dating and decided to break up. It was something that was brewing for a long time. It made the most sense to continue under a new name.

- What will the lyrics and themes be about?

The lyrical themes will be mostly on Slavic paganism and self spirituality. I’m still in the process of writing the lyrics but I know for sure that’s the theme I’m going with. It’s similar to some of the lyrics I wrote on Automb’s Esoterica.

- How far are you off your debut album or EP?

I’m about 80% percent done with the debut album. I have one more song to complete musically and I’m halfway through on lyrics. I’m aiming for a 2021 release.

- I think a lot of people will be amazed how quicklyyouleftAutombandgot Selfgod up and running. Was it planned ahead?

Well no it wasn’t planned I was going to use all this material for the 3rd Automb album originally. Once we decided that Automb was done I just basically continued under a new name and decided that I wanted to do everything myself except drums.

- What bands have influenced Selfgod?

There’s too many to name but I’ll name a few. Behemoth, Belphegor, Morbid Angel, Hate, Nile, Death, Dissection and others.

- Do you have a message for our readers?

Be on the lookout for the debut Selfgod album. It’ll be out this year. Stay safe and positive and keep supporting underground metal!

Thank you for your time and good luck with the future.

Thank you so much for this opportunity! Cheers
