For many students, starting university is their first opportunity to make their own decisions and they are keen to try new and exciting things. They are early adopters, keen to build loyalty and explore new brands.
The Freshers’ Welcome period is the busiest time of the year, renowned for being one of the most exciting events for students, with over 4,000+ new students arriving on campus.
We have lots of opportunities for you to place your brand in front of our new and current students!

During Welcome Week we distribute over 3,000+ goody bags and offer opportunities for brands to add their logo to the bag or include inserts.

Freshers’ Fair Sponsorship
Reach our students when they first arrive, make a lasting impression and develop long-term brand awareness.
The Freshers’ Fair is the most popular event during the Welcome period and is a fantastic opportunity for local and national businesses to engage, build relationships and connect with the 6,000+ new and returning students who attend over the two days.

Freshers’ Fair Stands
Have your brand or organisation seen by up to 4000+ new students.
Set up your brand in our central Freshers' Fair hub, on the Wednesday and Thursday of Welcome Week. This is the ideal place for brands looking for exposure to our current and new intake of students.
All options include 6ft trestle table. Electricity and Wi-Fi access is available by request on a first come, first served basis.

ONSITEACTIVATIONS
If you are looking to raise brand awareness, gain student sign-ups for graduate recruitment or volunteering, carry out market research or for leafleting and sampling then the Students’ Union building is the perfect venue.
Our building sits right at the heart of campus and is a prime location for you to meet our students and staff.

WEBSITE
Display your banner on our website and get yourself noticed by up to 600,000 visitors a month.
Our website is our online hub for student union information and receives over 200,000 monthly views (600,000+ at peak times). Currently, students visit the website to find out all they need to know about the students' union, from societies and opportunities to nominating and voting in our leadership elections.
We are in the process of a complete website redesign, along with the development of two apps, and we will be driving increased traffic to these spaces, giving you an even greater chance of your banner being viewed.

SPONSORSHIP

The students' union hosts many student engagement events throughout the year. Some of these include our leadership elections, awards ceremonies, and our summer ball.
These events, which celebrate the achievements of our students, also provide the perfect opportunity to showcase companies and industries.
Other sponsorships are also available such as for projects like our free period campaign or other welfare initiatives.
