AT-GRADE CROSSING SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS TO CONCLUDE IN MARCH Last September, the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) in coordination with the City of San Clemente began construction of safety improvements and an audible warning system (AWS) at seven crossings along the San Clemente Coastal Trail. The trail has remained open for recreational use, and OCTA has coordinated the project to ensure minimal disruption to trail users and residents in the area. The construction work was timed to minimize disruption to the rail line and trail users, with the majority of the work taking place at night. Most of the flat work (grade crossing modifications) has been completed.
The current work is mostly focused on communications and signals, which is not visible to the casual observer. This includes work on the signal houses and installing cables through the conduit that was undergrounded earlier in the project. The project team tested the AWS system earlier this week. The AWS system has been installed and tested as per the contract and as required by the grant though the system will not be utilized at this time in lieu of train horns at the at-grade pedestrian crossings due to a November 2013 State Supreme Court ruling. The City is currently evaluating options, including seeking legislative changes to quiet the train horns. The construction trailers and restrooms will be removed from the North Beach parking lot once the project is completed in early to mid-March. The City appreciates the public’s cooperation during construction of the project, which will further improve safety for citizens at the crossings along the trail.

How to Achieve that Wedding “WOW” Factor By J.C. Meeker Entertainment that will knock the socks off your guests is one of the best ways to leave a lasting impression. A great band or DJ that keeps the guests dancing and enjoying themselves during the reception is key. Although the music is important it’s not the only entertainment that will keep your guests talking about how great your wedding was. Special events such as a funky dance performed by the bridal party, special acts brought in specifically to entertain your guests or a fireworks show can really bring the house down. Outstanding food and drinks is definitely a major way to give your wedding that WOW factor. The fact is people go to weddings not only to share in the beautiful union of two people in love but also to have a great time, good food and drinks. You do not have to have a 7-course meal in order to impress your guests. You can go small with just cocktails and hors d’oeuvres as long as you do it well. Fancy spreads like dessert bars and candy buffets are also a lot of fun. Signature drinks are very popular and you can never go wrong with an open bar. Midnight buffets are becoming increasingly popular and they don’t have to be an extravagant spread of food. Foods you would find on a midnight buffet are your typical bar type foods like chicken fingers, wings, potato skins and other finger type foods. Since your guests usually have been drinking for a while and dinner has been over for hours they tend to get a little hungry so snacks are usually a huge hit. It will also help sober up some of your guests before the party ends. Having a breathtaking décor for your reception that will immediately transport your guests into another world the second they step foot into your venue is something that not only will set the mood for the entire evening but will leave your guests talking about how fabulous your reception was for a long time. Regardless of whether you are having an elegant Tiffany theme, a whimsical Mad Hatter Tea Party or a modern sports themed reception incorporate the theme down to the smallest detail. Filling every aspect of your reception with themed items will contribute to that WOW factor when the guests enter the room. Doing something unexpected will hands down give your wedding that WOW factor! You could have your bridal party walk into the reception singing an upbeat fun song that will set the mood for the entire evening and get your guests pumped up for a great time! Another unique idea is to have the bridal party create a film that shows how the couple met and show it at the reception.

By Zawn Villines Many brides have dreamed about their wedding gown since they were children, so it’s easy to understand how a wedding dress can quickly become the most expensive item in a wedding budget. But you shouldn’t have to drive yourself into debt for a dress you’ll only wear once, no matter how pretty it is. You can save money on your wedding dress if you plan ahead and are willing to invest a little bit of time for a big financial payoff. Go Secondhand Several online marketplaces sell dresses from brides who either didn’t get married or are re-selling their old wedding dresses. These dresses are frequently steeply discounted, and are often still highly trendy. With a good tailor, you can even purchase a dress in a different size or a slightly different cut than you’d prefer. Similarly, vintage dresses are a hot fashion commodity and can save you mega bucks. Start shopping early at Goodwill, secondhand stores and vintage outlets. If you find a dress you love, a good tailor can usually fix small tears and alter the dress to your body. You might even be able to get a dress for only a few bucks! Vintage dresses are especially good choices for casual weddings because you can simply buy an elegant white dress and add gorgeous jewelry to dress it up for your wedding. Sample Sales Lots of retailers have sample sales
a few times a year. Dresses are sold as-is, which means you’ll need to have the dress altered. But these dresses are steeply discounted and have typically only been used as models on mannequins or in advertisements. They are also frequently representative of the latest seasonal trends. Department Stores Many department stores have small bridal sections. You won’t be paying for the look and feel of an expensive bridal boutique and can end up saving hundreds or even thousands of dollars on the dress of
your dreams. Early Bird Discounts Don’t be shy about asking your bridal salon for a discount. Many bridal boutiques offer discounts if you order your dress early or on the same day you try it on. Tailoring A good tailor is your best friend when you’re trying to save money on a wedding dress. Consider buying a dress off the rack at a bridal shop and then taking it to a tailor for alterations. Alternatively, buy a basic, simple dress and have a tailor add lace, pearls and embroidery to dress it up.

10 expert tips for an affordable and memorable destination wedding
A flurry of congratulatory phone calls, social media announcements and sparkling ring pictures all mean one thing: engagement season has arrived. With approximately 39 percent of marriage proposals taking place between Thanksgiving and Valentine’s Day, engaged couples are taking note of one of the fastestgrowing nuptial trends - destination weddings. These days, one in four weddings is a destination wedding, giving couples - and their guests - a reason to blend the joy of a marriage celebration with a fun and memorable vacation. Planning a destination wedding suitable for all your attendees is easier than you think, thanks to some key insights from Myrtle Beach-based expert wedding planner, Cheryl Cox. 1. Plan ahead Cox says nine to 12 months is the optimum planning time, especially for a destination wedding. Many couples start planning a destination wedding as soon as they get engaged. While the summer months are typically most popular for couples, when choosing a date, Cox recommends considering a Friday or weekday wedding, or planning the big day during the less-crowded but still desirable shoulder seasons (spring Page 6
and fall). 2. Select a destination that caters to all guests Consider a location with something for everyone. Myrtle Beach, S.C., is the perfect example. The destination offers pristine greens for golf enthusiasts, museums and historic plantations for cultural buffs, delicious Coastal Carolina cuisine for the foodies, fun in the sun with a day at the beach or one of the many water parks, and for brides looking for some quality time with the girls, numerous spas for a day of pampering. Plus, there are plenty of lodging options for your guests including oceanfront resorts, beach home rentals and quaint bed and breakfasts. 3. Research ceremony locations Beautiful and unique ceremony locations are one of the perks of having a destination wedding. “Research wedding venues, travel and accommodation options, and rates, then rank the venues you like best,” suggests Cox. As a Myrtle Beach wedding planner, she notes that the area’s 60 miles of stunning coastline make the perfect romantic backdrop. Whether you’re looking for a beachside wedding outside a charming beach home or at the Myrtle Beach State Park, or a historic location like Litchfield Plantation or Pine Lakes
The San Clemente News
Country Club, there are countless ceremony locations to choose from. You can even tie the knot 200 feet above the ground on the Myrtle Beach Skywheel. Visit www.visitmyrtlebeach.com for more information. 5. Help guests plan activities Travel is the foundation for longlasting memories. In fact, a recent Harris Interactive survey found 62 percent of adults said their earliest memories were of family vacations taken when they were between ages 5 and 10. Help your guests - particularly families with young ones - get the most out of their trip by suggesting activities or even making reservations for dinners, tee times, theme parks, museums, etc., before arrival. 6. Hire a wedding planner Planning a destination wedding doesn’t need to be stressful - hire a wedding planner. “Wedding planners know the local wedding professionals and venues including the city regulations for beach weddings,” says Cox. The perfect beach wedding can be accomplished with the help of a wedding planner as they know the ins and outs of planning a beautiful beach wedding so couples and their guests can enjoy the true beauty of a beachside wedding. 7. Consider a pre-wedding visit “If possible, attend a local wedding
show to meet wedding professionals one-on-one or plan a ‘wedding planning trip’ to visit venues and meet with wedding vendors,” Cox suggests. “Remember to take notes so you can recall all the details when you’re back home.” 8. Get wedding insurance Give yourself peace of mind by purchasing the appropriate wedding insurance. And, Cox notes, “Research to find the best coverage for your wedding - I highly recommend it.” 9. Be mindful of budget Start your marriage off on the right financial foot by keeping your wedding on-budget. Many couples planning destination weddings find them to be similar or even more affordable than traditional weddings back home. Myrtle Beach offers a variety of wedding venue options at various price points, so you can have your dream beach wedding and still stay on a budget. 10. Enjoy! This is perhaps the most important step of all. Don’t forget to enjoy the experience of planning this memorable day and enjoying the company of your guests. Take pictures, sample cakes, pick out flowers and remember these moments and the beautiful destination you selected.

You can keep the stress away by allowing these Wedding apps to keep you happy and busy. WeddingHappy WeddingHappy is an absolute must when your head is spinning all around in every direction and even though, you know you have a lot to do, you just can’t seem to figure out with what, when, and where you should begin. This wedding preparation app functions excellently as a calender, enabling you to schedule important activities, like checking out different venue locations. Also, it allows you to set reminders and updates for yourself so that you won’t miss an appointment with the catering service you’re interested in or an opportunity to meet with the disc jockey that’s got a real good possibility of being hired. Furthermore, WeddingHappy allows you to search the app for various
vendors, including a florist, a hair stylist, a hotel for out of town guests, and finally, the perfect place for a honeymoon. Wedding Countdown Wedding Countdown offers a very unique and personable experience like no other I’ve seen before. This app has a great countdown feature that counts down to the actual day of your wedding. It even allows you to customize the experience with your very own selection of music. Further the excitement for your upcoming wedding by uploading a few photos of you and your fiance together and create a lovely slideshow with your choice of a romantic song to play in the background. Wedding Countdown offers another cool feature that enables you to change both the font and the font color to something more desirable.
Dress Up - Wedding Dress Up - Wedding is such a cute app! From the very first moment I laid eyes on it, I was greatly impressed. The opening Wedding themed music intro was enough to win me over from the very beginning. To play, you must choose from a list of brides and grooms of various ethnicities. Once you’ve decided, you can search for the perfect wedding gown, hair style, bouquet of flowers, and jew-
elery for the bride and the perfect outfit and accessories for the lucky groom. If this app doesn’t get you in the mood for a wedding, I don’t know what app will. It can set the mood for your own wedding and even give you a few ideas for planning it. Your wedding should be an exciting time and not full of stress or anxiety. That’s why these apps are guaranteed to help the planning go a bit smoother. Give them a try today.

3 easy steps to sweeten someone’s Valentine’s Day Nearly everyone has more than one special person in their life. Whether it’s a neighbor who lets the dog out, the friend who watches the kids in a pinch or a colleague who makes Mondays a little more bearable, loved ones make our days better. A simple thank you or a small thank you gift can go a long way in showing those people just how much you appreciate them. A recent survey revealed that most people do have multiple “loves” in their lives. In fact, significant others aren’t the only ones who get Valentine’s Day gifts these days. This survey, which was commissioned by Rich Products, a leading provider to foodservice, in-store bakery and retail marketplaces, showed that Valentine’s Day now extends way beyond that one special person. Forty four percent of people said that they purchase gifts for multiple people on Valentine’s Day. When asked to identify their “other loves,” friends were at the top of the list; and surprisingly, among their favorite gifts were fresh baked goods ranging from cookies, cupcakes and other sweet treats. So to sweeten your relationships all year round, small thank you gifts are both welcomed and appreciated.

And keep in mind it’s not the size of the gift that matters. Survey results show that good things come in small, personalized packages.Give the gift of deliciousnessTo get started, remember showing your appreciation doesn’t have to be expensive and time consuming. Gifts can be purchased on your weekly (or daily) trip to the grocery store then personalized and decorated with things that you have around the house. You can stock up on these inexpensive supplies at your local craft store. Here are some simple, low-cost steps to show someone you care: Step 1: Visit the bakery department in your local grocery store for a variety of fresh and delicious options. From frosted cookies, to cinnamon rolls, cupcakes and doughnuts, you’ll find a treat to please everyone on your list - and there’s no baking involved. Step 2: Personalize each gift by selecting a baked good and using basic art or wrapping supplies (think ribbon spools and tissue paper leftover from Christmas) that you have around the house to dress up your gifts. Step 3: Attach a personalized, handwritten note on a piece of

Pretend City Children’s Museum’s “Rock the City” Raised $400k Nearly 350 of Orange County’s notable philanthropists and business leaders attended Pretend City Children’s Museum’s Rock the City Gala which included a live auction, dinner, and high energy entertainment all held most appropriately within the cityscape of the museum. An event directly benefiting Pretend City, the music-inspired event showcased flashy hot pink, purple and blue neon lights with a touch of “rock elegance” and raised $400,000 to benefit the educational mission for Orange County’s children and families. Rock the City delivered a memorable night with guests in a variety of edgy and colorful looks as they put their personal take on how to “rock” a black tie. “This was an epic and fun gala for Pretend City Children’s Museum, key community supporters and leaders,” says Hirad Emadi, Chairman of the Board for Pretend City Children’s Museum. “We are deeply grateful for supporters who believe in how the preservation of childhood through play, healthy child development, embracing diversity and connecting families to each other and the community positively benefits our future generation.” Attendees entered the ballroom and were treated to a delicious dinner starting with a salad with fresh market greens in a Homemade Lavosh Bread Basket with Humbolt Fog Cheese, fresh pomegranate and roasted pumpkin seeds served with Champagne Vinaigrette. The Dual Entrée served was a delectable Portobello Crusted Filet Mignon Medallion with whole grain mustard Demi-glace and wild mushrooms and Grilled Halibut with Artichoke, Tomatoes, Capers, Lemon and White Wine along with a Panko Crusted Elegant Pear Shaped Potato and asparagus bundles with roasted cherry tomatoes. Dessert was scrumptious with a Trio of Petite Desserts, a Dark Chocolate Kahlua Cream/Praline Crisp and Coffee Chantilly, a Tiramisu Éclair and a Passion and Mango Curd Tart. Award-winning 80s cover and tribute band Flashback Heart Attack! shook the evening up by bringing high-energy, vibrant tunes reminiscent to “We Built This City.” The live auction presented traveling excursions for winners to places like New York, the Kentucky Derby and seven-night stay in the luxurious Tallus Private Ski and Golf Residence Club in Mammoth Mountain. Other live auction winner grabs included a Night at the Museum, a giant friends and family sleepover for 20 at Pretend City with a catered breakfast, as well as an exclusive dinner for two with the Lakers Showtime Team. The overall auction value of items topped nearly $100,000. In addition, the museum’s Fund the Mission program raised $100,000, which will fund upcoming traveling exhibits, scholarship programs and special programming, developmental screenings and more. Among the supporters for the evening’s event were board members Bill and Christina Lyon, Hirad and Reesa Emadi, Mark and Sarah Fitzpatrick, Chris and Emily Winn and Blake and Jill Bertea; as well as Ryan and Jessica Steelberg, Darrin and Sharon Ginsberg and Don and Ginger Ressler. Rock the City was made possible by generous key sponsors: Fidelity National Title, First American Title, the Ressler Family, Alexandra and Alan Airth, Super Color Digital, William Lyon Homes, Chase Merritt, Jill and Blake Bertea and Fitzpatrick & Prince. Since opening, Pretend City has seen over 700,000 guests, distributed more than 20,000 developmental screenings, hosted monthly specialized family events for children on the autism spectrum and facilitated more than 10,000 scholarship field trips to the young, underserved Orange County community. Pretend City Children’s Museum received the Parenting OC 2012 and 2013 Reader’s Choice Award for Best Indoor Play Place, OC Weekly’s Best Museum Award 2013 and Red Tricycle’s 2013 Totally Awesome Award for Best Museum. Modern wedding trends that are building new traditions. New times, new traditions: Modern wedding trends from stock-the-bar parties to social networking sites. As you gear up to celebrate the union of your beloved family or friends - or even your own - know what to expect from the changing tides of weddings. Lizzie Post, co-author of “Emily Post’s Etiquette, 18th edition” and great-great-granddaughter of Emily Post, helps couples navigate the new traditions of weddings. The Post name has been synonymous with proper etiquette and manners for the past 80 years. As decades pass, so will traditions, but proper etiquette is timeless. Be prepared for the next wedding you attend and know what to expect from changes in the wedding landscape with these important pieces of advice: Pay it forward Finding the right gift for the newlyweds can be difficult. While registries help to point guests in the right direction, many couples are getting married later in life and already have all the household items that are common wedding gifts. To provide the couple with a small nest egg to use however they wish, a check is always a great and safe gift
idea. Several financial institutions, like Bank of America, offer mobile check deposit through their banking app, allowing the couple the flexibility to deposit checks on-the-go to help cover outstanding vendor payments or use on their honeymoon. Another new-age trend is contributing to a couple’s honeymoon fund. Temper tech use Even weddings are going hitech. There are numerous websites available that can help the couple to organize the process, communicate with guests and share photos after the ceremony. But a few things - like a handwritten “thank you” note - should steer clear of the hi-tech lure. In a gadget-driven society, everyone is carrying a smartphone. Couples can post a tasteful notice at the entrance of the ceremony location or in the program to remind guests to turn off their cell phone ringers and refrain from use during the ceremony. Some couples may actually encourage guests to take photos and share images via social media, but guests should respect their wishes and use phones only as a camera and upload images after the ceremony. Respect personalization Couples want their special day to

party in a destination event. And while these events are a celebration of joy, expenses can add up quickly. If you use a rewards card, like the BankAmericard Travel Rewards credit card, you can earn points on purchases to pay for all or part of your trip. This is great for both the bride and groom and guests traveling to the wedding. As trends and expectations shift, so will the way major life milestones are celebrated. It is important to celebrate these moments in life with grace and support for the happy couple - after all, it’s their day - and it should be as unique as they are. reflect who they are and what is important to them. While p r e v i o u s generations traditionally wed in places of worship, many modern couples choose to tie the knot at a sentimental location, like where they had their first date. The decor, music and even the food and drink served at a wedding may have a personal story behind it. No matter how nontraditional the element may be, guests should eagerly partake in the festivities, acknowledging and respecting the couple’s individualization. Be all-inclusive In the past, bridal showers were strictly for the bride and bachelor parties were a men-only affair. Nowadays, these festivities are no longer gender-specific. Showers can be thrown for the couple in unison and include creative themes like “stock the bar” or “time of day.” Bachelor and bachelorette parties can also be conjoined to involve the entire bridal

Trending Hairstyles for Weddings 2014 By Jennifer Ladd The hair style you choose on your wedding day is one of the most important details because it can change your look completely. So, whether your hair be long, short, or of a unique texture there’s a look for you! Some of the most important factors to consider is, first, are you going to feel confident with that style. Is the style, you chose, going to hold up through the ceremony and reception? Are you going to be comfortable in that hairstyle? These are things to keep in mind, as you should enjoy your wedding day, not add extra stress. It seems that this season’s bridal hair trends are textured. From braids to curls you can achieve these wedding day looks! Here are my top five hairstyle trends for this season...... B r a i d e d H a l o The braided halo is an impressive yet easy hairstyle that you can do yourself. It can be made a little messy with wispy fly-aways for a more casual affair, or it can be styled very sophisticated and elegant for a wedding or night out. A halo braid has always been very popular on flower girls, but is becoming increasingly trendy for
the bride herself. It works best with long hair that is not extremely layered. The Relaxed Ponytail A beautiful, soft ponytail with a little volume on top and sweet curls at the end. Wear low and with an air of sophistication. The Princess Grace This soft, romantic style is elegant, yet really easy to achieve. Use big rollers to get loads of volume through the crown and curls through the ends, then roughly pin to one side and tease the front to add a little volume. The Ballerina Bride It takes good bone structure to pull off a classic bun like this but it is oh-soworth-it for the sheer classic beauty of it, so wear yours at dizzying heights to really flaunt that face shape and flawless wedding day make-up. Messy is the New Sexy A tousled up-do is one of my favorite hairstyles, especially if you have thick and unruly hair because you will get that natural volume while keeping that big mane under control. Just a few bobby pins and a hair tie will help you achieve this look. To add volume and interest you can use rollers or a large barrel curling iron before pinning it up.
Solving the Great Wedding Gift Debate By Phebe Durand Let’s face it, most couples getting married today have lived on their own or as a couple for years, and often have their own established homes. Traditional wedding gifts - the faithful toaster, pots and pans, and dishes - just don’t cut it anymore, since most newly married couples already have the household items that they need. There are creative gift-giving solutions out there, but the cost of the items alone often renders the gift-giver speechless. Despite the ever-changing trends of culture, one thing doesn’t ever seem to change: Newly married couples face a dramatically smaller pocket. Online businesses have made life easier on everyone and present
a perfect solution: the honeymoon registry. Honeymoon registry services offer a solution for couples, their friends and family that creates a meaningful wedding gift which will be remembered throughout the couple’s lifetime together. The way it works is pretty simple. A couple will plan their honeymoon with the help of the registry service. The registry service then takes those plans and puts it in the form of a registry list - the exact same kind of list that you would find at a department store. Instead of containing household items, the honeymoon registry list contains pieces of a couple’s planned honeymoon. Not only can guests help pay for the big items like airfare and resort accommodations, but they can purchase romantic “gifts” like a candlelit dinner or an afternoon horseback riding. What can you think of that would be cooler than giving your newly married little sister a champagne welcome to her honeymoon hotel? This new service is something
beyond unique, it is something special that helps a couple begin their new life together in a romantic way. Traditional items like toasters and china will get old and break, but a honeymoon gift will be in the hearts, minds, and pictures of the couple throughout their lives. Before deciding on a registry service, do a little research. Not all honeymoon registry services are created equal - some travel agencies even advertise a registry service, but all that this service includes is allowing your friends and family to mail in checks towards your trip. As a couple planning your honeymoon and helping everyone with their giftgiving, you need to make sure that the service you choose will provide you and your guests with the best possible service. Ask the following questions to help you determine which honeymoon registry is right for you: *Does the company provide an itemized registry list, or do they simply ask friends and family to
contribute money? The people who love you want to purchase something meaningful for you, so letting them choose from a list of items makes the gift-giving special for them. *How does the registry handle purchases? The process needs to be accessible and easy, so it should include an array of options like acceptance of credit cards, a tollfree 800-number, and the registry list should be available on the Internet so that your friends and family can access it from wherever they are located. *Make sure that the registry sends something tangible to your friends and family, like a gift certificate and receipt. Otherwise, they will tend to feel a bit ripped off and you won’t know who to thank for what. Many couples today find honeymoon registries to be the perfect solution for their bridal registry dilemma. By taking this route, the expense of the honeymoon is eased and the frustration of finding “that perfect gift” is taken away.

Expert tips for creating a Valentine’s Day card for your man With the onslaught of roses, hearts and cherubs, it’s easy to think Valentine’s Day is all about women, but men deserve something special too. You don’t need to gift luscious chocolates or a new designer watch to get the ultimate Valentine’s Day reaction. This year, more women are thinking ahead to create customized cards for their beaus that truly speak from the heart - and men are responding with tears of joy. An amazing Valentine’s Day card will tell the story of your relationship through beautiful images, heartfelt messages and premium materials, according to Joseph Joyce, creative director for online greeting card brand Cardstore.com. This visual representation of your love can tug at heartstrings. In fact, 88 percent of men and 90 percent of women say a strong man isn’t afraid to show his true emotions, according to a recent Cardstore.com survey conducted by Harris Interactive, and these cards may inspire just such an emotionallyfueled response. Joyce offers these tips for creating the perfect Valentine’s Day card for your man: 1. Take your time “Choose something you love about your relationship; it could be conversations you have, an activity you do together, parenting together, anything,” says Joyce. “Then, think about adjectives that describe the other person in those situations: loving, happy, giving, thoughtful or romantic. This will help you choose a card that speaks to your relationship and help you decide if you’d like to
Page 16
be funny, romantic, thoughtful, or all of the above.” Don’t worry if you can’t think of the perfect card; take the stress out of finding the right one by leaving some time to look.- Browsing the fantastic options online is sure to get your creative juices flowing. 2. Be yourself Your Valentine’s Day card should represent you and the feelings you have for your partner. “Be yourself, speak from the heart, and let the card be the card,” says Joyce. “In other words, you don’t have to try to sound like a greeting card because that part’s already done for you. Just be honest and say what you feel.” 3. Incorporate photography “Do you have trouble deleting photos from your phone or computer? Me too,” says Joyce. “It’s because photos are so rich in detail and emotion, and one photo can tell the whole story of a single moment in time. Candid and un-posed shots are often the most authentic and memorable.” Try choosing a photo that highlights an unforgettable moment you shared together and incorporate it into your card. You might tuck a printed photo inside the card, but to really impress, consider designing your card online with your personal photos. 4. Personalize “Personalization is a huge trend,” Joyce says. “Creating something custom for someone is very special, and easier with current technology. We also continue to see design trends like chalkboard, beautiful hand-lettering and flirty card-copy. Cardstore.com offers a wide variety of customization options. After creating your one-of-a-kind card and adding a signature, let Cardstore handle the rest by stamping and mailing it for you! Remember, a card is more than just a piece of paper. It tells the recipient how you truly feel and, with the right touches, will inspire tears of joy, laughter and love. “People really like the keepsake aspect of the cards. With so many digital photos floating around, there’s something wonderful about a printed photo card on heavy paper stock that people love,” says Joyce. “Cards that tell your story, or have photos that are specific to your relationships, become more meaningful.”
