Install
In one sense, there is no installation required as I am built to be user friendly in all aspects. My programme works simply by copying the file that corresponds to your operating system to your desktop from my USB. At the moment, I am only available on Mac and Windows 32 and 64 bit, however a Linux programme can be made available upon request. Once it is copied over, click on the icon and I will begin running the programme. Whilst there should not be any problems, should you feel I am not working optimally, simply restart me, or ensure all of my file has been copied over, without there being a change in file name.
Additional Features
At present, should one of your employees feel overwhelmed by stress and anxiety, even after using my programme, I will re-direct them to the Samaritans contact page. Should you wish for this to re-direct to another source, this can be made available upon request. Examples could include opening up a new email to a line manager or a specific corporate video you may have.
Be Proactive
We recommend that after installing my programme, you label the computers with the stickers provided, so that your employees can see where I am in case of a hotdesk styled office. My programme however, is just one of the many ways you can maintain a work place with reduced stress levels. On our website, you will be able to read blogs on what we recommend. To give an example, we have included a notepad and pen. We believe that doodling can help in relieve stress, it also helps concentration. Give it a go yourself.
The Science
The science behind who I am is very complex. In simple terms, the idea behind my one minute programmes, is to help stimulate the part of your brain that is creative. This takes the pressure off the part of the brain that deals with logic. The more complex version is that my programmes aide in exercising the cerebellum by taking pressure off of the left frontal cortex. The cerebellum, or the part of your brain where you creativity stems from, when not exercised properly can trigger depression, anxiety, attention problems and much more. In one sense, you have to keep not only your body fit, but also your brain to maintain a wholly well person.
