A large Imperial presentation rectangular casket, the sides and hinged lid with thin nephrite panels, its two-colour gold frame chased with yellow gold leaves against a red enamel ground, the corners fixed with red gold cubes faced with chased flowerheads, the lid applied with a Russian Imperial double-headed eagle set with diamonds; the base supported on four bun feet; contained in a fitted silk-lined holly wood case.
