workmaster Mikhail Perkhin, St Petersburg, circa 1890 struck with workmaster’s initials and FABERGÉ in Cyrillic, assay mark of St Petersburg (crossed anchors and sceptre), gold mark of 56 zolotniks, scratched with Fabergé inventory no. 47444 height: 9.2 cm

A silver-gilt picture frame of rectangular form, overall enamelled in red over a sunray guilloché ground, centred with an oval aperture set with seed pearls, and further enhanced with gold sunray strips, the gold border chased with laurel leaves; supported with a slender gold strut.

A gold miniature oval frame, enamelled in royal blue over an etched guilloché ground, applied with fourcolour gold foliate garlands; the oval aperture encircled with a diamond-set bezel.
