Welcome to our annual Style issue. Home to brands you can afford, trends that don’t look stupid and the occasional item you wouldn’t think twice about treating yourself to. Now, when it comes to style, many haters in the RWD office will say I wouldn’t know the difference between a pair of tortoiseshell sunglasses and a turtleneck sweater. To those naysayers that deny my swag I say, “nay”. I’m under the opinion that people can wear what they like (apart from onesies: see last month’s Enough Already). Style is objective. What works for one person might not work for another. Different strokes for different folks, etc. Someone else who’s in their own style lane is this issue’s cover star, London 2012 breakout star, Louis Smith; he’ll be the first to tell you that he wears what he wants. In the same vein, his fellow Team GB affiliate, gold medal getting Anthony Joshua, the man with the voice, Tyler James, Ellie Goulding – fresh with a style switch-up – and everyone else in this issue have been picked for a reason. They throw it down. For the style conscious, this issue is you!

Name: Jacob Armitage Are you stylish? Kinda, yes. Give yourself a style rating out of 10: 7.25. My favourite items of clothing are my... Vegan Dr Martens. This month I’ve... Illustrated the people with boobies on their t-shirts [Enough Already]. This month I’ve loved... Directing for Hello Margaret and Minus The Bears.. I’ve hated... writing my dissertation. jacobarmitage.co.uk Name: Cynthia Lawrence-John Are you stylish? I think I am more of a stylish person, than say fashionable! You styled our cover star, do you like his style? Yeah, I like seeing him in cleaner lines. This month I’ve loved... the Philip Treacy show at London Fashion Week. This month I’ve hated... the angst at Fashion Week! People calm down; its clothes. cynthialawrencejohn.com

Name: Shreya A Are you stylish? I believe so! How was making up our cover star? He has great skin, on-trend hair and very, easy to work with. Can men wear makeup? Of course! Bit of concealer never goes amiss... However they should invest in good moisturiser too... keeps spots at bay! This month I’ve loved... spikes and studs! Cover: Grey shirt by Dodd This month I’ve hated... the weather. Braces and burgundy coat shreyart.com by Topman

When it comes to style, you guys have got it hard (no Frank lotion). While I’m sat here swooning over the glow in the dark House of Holland underwear (great advert FYI), part of me wonders who among my male counterparts will be picking up the fluro pink boxers in all their glory. Us women, we can dress like men, achieve any catwalk look with a trip to the High Street, and get away with pretty much anything. Admittedly, things have improved for men with online shopping. The options have probably never looked better. But finding your own strain of swag takes consideration – even the colourways you choose can be deemed suggestive. So where am I going with this? It’s all about what you do once you’ve got the ensemble on, innit? When RWD editor Danny Walker rocks up in his blazer and Pumas, despite the apparent absurdity on a summer’s day, no one can chat to him because he’s a man who’s doing the damn thing. His walk, talk and face talk as much as his fashion [Editor: Erm, thanks?]. The moral of the story? Even if it means rocking a skirt over your baggy tracksuit, do it and do it big. And I’m not talking about your girl. Join the daily chat with @chantellefiddy and @RWDmag 19

ENOUGH ALREADY: NAKED GIRLS ON T-SHIRTS It started off with hipsters. Then it moved on to a couple of cool kids in trendy east London clubs. Now everyone and their sweaty, overweight, balding dad is wearing one. It’s become an epidemic. The whole naked-chick-on-your-grubby-white-t-shirt trend ends now. At least it does if James Humphrys has his way. Illustration Jacob Armitage

“WHY OH WHY, WOULD YOU JUST WANT A STRAIGHT UP PICTURE OF A NAKED GIRL ON YOUR CHEST?” Our daily trawl through Twitter is very rarely a fruitful experience. The best we can usually hope for is the occasional witty remark from a washed up celebrity we had no idea was still alive, maybe Joey Barton writing a philosophical monologue about the life and struggles of the modern day footballer abroad, or if we’re really lucky, a z-list model posting a picture of themselves on holiday. OK, so we admit it, we follow a couple of models on Twitter. Who doesn’t? Not just because we want to see pictures of 24 / RWDMAG.COM

them backstage at modelling shoots or anything like that, definitely not. Nope, mainly because we like to give them a chance to dispel the assumption that all that their lives involve is walking around in their underwear, posing for magazines and eating junk food. Up until that day, they weren’t doing a particularly good job of dispelling our previous assumptions. However, everything changed with one simple re-tweet: ‘RT ‘@boobylover123: Hey @glamourmodel, where can I get you’re t-shirt from’ ...teesandtits.biz xx’ ? ‘You’re t-shirt’. Sorry, what? They’re a t-shirt? Upon further investigation, we found out that @glamourmodel was NOT actually a t-shirt; it was a mere grammatical error from @boobylover123. She was actually ON a t-shirt, and not in an artistic, filtered, instagrammy way, like how they used to be. Just a straight picture of them. Pair of undercrackers on. Nothing

else. Price? £25. Mind blown. We get the whole artistically shot women on the front of a tee, when done correctly, it looks decent. But why oh why, would you just want a straight up picture of a naked girl on your bony chest? If you want to look at that sort of thing, there’s some perfectly good websites that you can access via an incognito window on your personal computer, smartphone or tablet, and you know the best thing? They’re free and don’t require you to wear a Fruit of the Loom t-shirt while you look at them. Who exactly are they meant to impress? Your missus? Nope. Girls at clubs? Nah. Random chicks on the street? Probably not. Your pervy mate who spends 98% of his time trouserless, locked in his bedroom, smells like unwashed bed sheets and regularly brags about his exploits in faraway lands with no one he knows there to witness it? Stop it. Now.

# SEARCHING FOR RIHANNA, RIO 2016, GOLDEN POST BOXES, JAY-Z, APPLE CRUMBLE

UPFRONT WITH... ANTHONY JOSHUA Whilst all the greatest boxers are usually full of bravado and choose to pick faults with their opponents at every opportunity, Nardene Scott finds that Olympic super heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua, is the complete antithesis. Down to earth, family guy, taking one day at a time, we catch up with the 14 stoner fresh from running his Saturday errands and ahead of a good old wind down with his mates out in Barbados - courtesy of Richard Branson.

“Try and find Rihanna...” the Watfordraised lad jokes about what he’ll get up to on holiday before coming back to the actual plan. “Nah, I’m playing I just want to relax, I could relax in England but it just won’t be the same, I know that you have to travel so many miles to do it but it’s beautiful to see other countries and experience something that I’m not used to,” Anthony says switching back to serious in a second to sum up the break. It’s a well deserved break whatever he’s searching for out in the Caribbean, considering the constant comments on the 22 year-old’s future. Should he go professional? Should he go to Rio? Is there’s any competition for him in amateur boxing? Oh yeah, and also he really likes apple crumble, that’s popped up a lot and is supposedly the way to his heart. “This apple crumble is getting famous now, yeah I do like apple crumble but it’s gonna need a lot more to get to my heart man, its like a rock” the boxer quickly laughs off the idea. Nicknamed Crocodile Dundee in

“I TURNED [WATCH THE THRONE] DOWN SO I COULD FOCUS ON MY TRAINING BECAUSE IT WAS GOING TO BE A LATE NIGHT… I HAD TWO OFFERS AS WELL!” the Olympic Village due to his friendly nature (“That is the worst nickname anyone could give me, at least shorten it to CD or something, Crocodile Dundee is out of this world!”) it’s clear the huge Motocross fan isn’t used to the limelight, admitting himself during the interview that he sounds boring. But anyone that witnessed that final round coming three points back to claim the victory for Team GB, we’re sure would disagree. Especially when considering the 6’6’’ 300 fan only entered the ring a few years back, convinced by his cousin after slipping onto the wrong side of the law. “Probably like about four years ago just before I was boxing really, I found my path now and I just know what I want to do. I’ve been disciplined since then,” the strangely fast sprinter (100M in 11 seconds) acknowledges solemnly but this does not mean by any standards he’s got a big head, the #stayhungry end to almost every tweet can tell you that. “Bring me 26 / RWDMAG.COM

down to earth...? No one needs to bring me down to earth, nah I’m cool, everyday is just another day really”. The all important question though, is, has he posted a letter in his golden post box yet? [Editor: Royal Mail have spruced up some iconic post boxes by painting them gold to celebrate Team GB and ParalympicsGB’s medal hauls.] “Not yet but I’ve been there and the postman let me open my post box and gave me the key to open it, so that was nice.” Although he’s more proud of what winning has done for his community, “It’s where I grew up, everyone is proud; it’s something that has brought everyone together. I’ll find some reason to post a letter in there as well.” His mother’s raised him well. Despite Jay-Z and Nipsey Hussle pumping through the speakers whilst training, devotion to building on his bouts led to him missing the music mogul on the recent legendary #WTT tour, “I turned that down so I could focus on my training because it was going to be a late night... I had two offers as well!” He says through gritted teeth. And after his memories are made out in the land of Rihanna’s, we expect the next four years to be lots of hard work. “I want more so I’m trying to improve on everything really; my boxing, my skills, my fitness, strength, all round is gonna step up a level.” There is time to take in the famous faces watching though, like Lennox Lewis, who’s told the dirt bike fan to believe in himself, be confident in his ability and use his height, speed, youth to the best of his abilities. Though the swag in the ring can’t be questioned, we discover his style on a daily basis to be just as laid-back as the man himself, “Not one!” he assures us of fashion disasters, before adding, “I could probably dress nicer but on a daily basis, if I’m just relaxing, I’ll just have on a nice tracksuit taking it easy... white t-shirt or something like that.” Sticking to clean cut and simple kicks, over and over again, we’ve no shame in waiting for the gloves to do the talking. Check out ajboxing.com and follow @anthonyfjoshua to find out when he’ll be in the ring next

ONE TO WATCH EMERGENCY ROOM We fell for cool chick Etta Bond and the stupidly sick Raf Riley a while ago but now they’ve joined forces as boundless duo, Emergency Room. Nardene Scott meets the banter brimming bosom buddies to talk style and being anything but boring b*tches... image James Pearson-Howes

“I woke up on Saturday with seven people in my bed,” Etta tells us after much deliberation over her most recent wild night; whilst Raf recalls, “just waking up with a world of regret.” No wonder it’s so easy to throw out a track like Boring B*tches. “We got placed together against our will by management,” Mr. Riley aka Mad Decents’ ‘modern day goblin’ spouts, fresh from his set at Major Lazer’s and Red Bull’s annual carnival shindig before Etta retorts. “I hadn’t really worked with anyone other than Lab for a while and my manager played me this beat and I was like, ‘Oooh it’s a bit R&B’... Then we met and we just sort of let go and started making crazy stuff.” A year later we were treated to the free and unplanned, Emergency Room EP. “So the next step, woo hoo! I’m so excited this is the first time we’ve been able to say it, we’re gonna be supporting Labrinth [their Odd Child head honcho] on tour which is sick. It’s going to be our first ANYthing,” the Forgiveness hook singer excitedly reveals. “We’re all about that deep end swag,” the paisley shirted producer laughs at the prospect before

“SOMETIMES I WALK PAST GRANNIES IN THE STREET AND I THINK IF I WAS WEARING THAT OUTFIT IT WOULD LOOK SOOO BAWSE.” - ETTA we get on to the topic of fashion. “Well I got dressed by someone else today, by Louise Williams,” the Londoner admits before Cambridge-raised Etta interjects, “It’s the same as our music, it’s what we want to wear on the day... sometimes I walk past grannies in the street and I think if I was wearing that outfit it would look sooo bawse and Raffie must walk past tramps and go if I was wearing that I would look - tramp.” We warned you about the banter, after making the whole group breakdown in laughter once again we let Etta end on plans for 2013. “Lots of visuals, this time last year I was probably saying the same thing, like I don’t really know but that’s what’s exciting about it, that we don’t really know.” Check emergency-room.co.uk and follow @ettabond and @TheRealRafRiley

STÖÖKI

“For us, you either differentiate yourself or die hard trying.” Friends Quincey, Nadia and Luke have successfully created their own jewellery and apparel label. Having graduated from Central Saint Martins and Sir John Cass Jewellery School, the London trio came together, sharing their skills and their vision. By combining clothing and accessories, music, film and design, the brand is pretty all encompassing. As well as releasing themed capsule collections of tees, jewellery and snapbacks, the team also host workshops and interactive experiences, and have already teamed up with the Tate and Red Bull Studios. “It was amazingly DOPE! They are the top two companies we have worked with so far that have allowed us creative freedom and flexibility in our work.” Stööki are achieving seriously impressive things and will clearly go on to be even bigger and better. @_stooki_

AGI & SAM Having met whilst interning for Alexander McQueen, Agi Mdumulla and Sam Cotton (both 26) hit it off straight away and soon combined their knowledge of menswear and illustration, to make some pretty cool clothes together. Bringing a light-hearted, super-cool vibe to the fashion world, the duo’s designs focus on print and humour. A t-shirt featuring Will Smith’s face anyone? Perhaps you’d prefer a potato smiley faces-print jacket? Agi and Sam have been showcasing their work at London Fashion Week and are even nominated for a British Fashion Award. They’re firm believers in the fact that fashion shouldn’t be taken too seriously; “Of course we love and care about fashion, but we really want to have fun with it.” With a past collection inspired by the Fresh Prince of Bel Air, and their latest by going to Grandma’s house in the late 80s and being made to watch rubbish detective programs, we see that, and we totally dig that. @agiandsam 29

# SUICIDE, PERSONAS, CHILDISH GAMBINO, AALIYAH, DONTGIVEAF**KSYNDROME

ANGEL HAZE Bodying tracks only the likes of Kanye and Drake had managed, on the first of two 2012 released EP’s, Voice, allowed her hype to build nicely before the Virginiabased, New York-dwelling MC’s/ singer’s most recent freebie dropped, Reservation. Angel Haze has quickly proved herself in the scene by keeping it triller than the trillest, so Nardene Scott catches up with the 21 year-old who’d rather skate than be at a photoshoot, to discover exactly what makes her realer than the realest.

30 / RWDMAG.COM

On the eve of our interview, Angel Haze is just about to tackle two huge firsts, performing live properly - “the most I’ve ever done has been being thrown on to a stage and told to rap” - at her release party for the refreshing Reservation EP alongside celebrating her birthday for the first time - due to her Greater Apostolic faith and strict upbringing - and it’s her 21st! Needless to say it all goes swimmingly according to the RTs on the @nativeraeen timeline. A flow that spreads like wildfire, honest and deep thoughtful lyrics, the ability to switch it up and sing something a little more soulfull, all set to a constantly changing backing track to house it all in; Haze isn’t one to be compared with other artists. “I’ve never heard music from Danny Brown - I’ve never even heard his voice before. I’ve only heard one song from Azealia Banks, 212, and we sound nothing alike to me. I don’t like the way the industry pits females against each other but doesn’t really try to do it to males,” she puts bluntly before comparing herself with her musical alter ego born two years ago. “Yeah, it has to be more Angel Haze than me. I’m like really quiet, stand-offish, don’t want to be around anyone-type person and she’s like [growls] ‘Hi, bitches’”. Angel Haze isn’t the first persona either, there were a few showcased in the artists popular YouTube videos, where she tricked people into thinking she had a disorder called ‘I don’t give a f**k’, more so for her fans than an emotional excavation about purging everything that she hates in the world. Don’t get it twisted though, how the US star came to writing in the first place was via her own unconventional poetry of which her mom wasn’t really a huge fan, “The first poem I wrote was a suicide letter, when I was 11 years-old. My mum told me if I ever wrote another one she would kill me herself,” she laughs, before admitting she’s just not miserable enough to write that type of stuff now and that the blue book housing the poem is with an ex who she jests, she will “kill ‘em” if it surfaces. What’s important now is what fans think of the EP which took less than a month to create and is about less miserybased matter and more emotional music. “They were like ‘OMG Castle In The Clouds explains my life so perfectly.” Living like a teen since – her words not ours – and also managing to spend time out here in London, swiftly signing to Island Records, not to mention being

“YOU CAN ADD THAT ‘ANGEL HAZE IS THE GREATEST FEMALE RAPPER IN THE WORLD’. NO, NO, SAY THE ‘GREATEST RAPPER’ - SO MALES CAN BE OFFENDED TOO!” up in a Cali studio with fellow rising artist Azealia is what has been happening ever since the big move, and every teen has a crush right? Look out Donald we think you have a fan, “Yeah, I hope we can work together [pauses] and then we can have a baby together. It’ll come out rapping. But I fear that Childish Gambino would get a restraining order against me and I don’t want him to because I’m in love with him.” Angel refuses to listen to anything but her own music although lets slip that she’s finding it hard to not hear Gambino’s latest effort, Royalty, “It’s making me so sad. I want to download it right now, but I love him too much to f**k my own life up,” a quick listen to her Hot like Fire rework and it seems that Childish isn’t the only musician to ever have impressed her. “I grew up wanting to BE Aaliyah, from like the androgynous type of way that she dressed to the attitude that she has... she’s just different and so versatile and I love that. That’s what I try to embody in my music – that kind of versatility,” confessing it’s one of her favourite songs, it still wasn’t the biggest track according to the masses and us at RWD too, Werkin’ Girls and New York both achieved that pull up half way through because they were just too much. Set to tour the UK this month, luckily reminded by her phone, “I don’t actually know my schedule until it pops up on my phone. That’s my life!” Angel leaves the phone call with a final thought for those other musicians out there and unsurprisingly her final words don’t hold back, “You can add that ‘Angel Haze is the greatest female rapper in the world’. No, no, say the ‘greatest rapper’ - so that males can be offended too!” Reservation EP is out now and you can follow @nativeraeen and see her live at Hoxton Bar & Kitchen on 8 October

STYLE: 20 THINGS WE’VE LEARNT THIS SUMMER As we wave farewell to another British summer, smiling through gritted teeth as it politely packs itself away in Mother Nature’s box of unpredictability, we take a look at what the style conscious can gain from the last few months of elaborate events, big screen releases and costly ceremonies... They say the colour ‘nude’ is nearly played-out but with Prince Harry’s Vegas stunt, he’s given the trend another month or two in the sun. Apparently, according to anyone that was unfortunate to see those images, the Prince could do with a couple of months in the sun himself.

Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones really need to add some colour to their wardrobes; this whole dress in black thing is getting ridiculous now.

Regardless of how muddy a festival is, idiots will still wear the brand new, bright whites mummy bought. Fools.

WET WEEKEND Even if you don’t consider yourself the most outdoorsy person, there’s no hiding from our glorious British weather (and the odd pint spillage). Have no fear though; the stylish yet robust new Palladium Waterproof Collection will survive the very worst winter has to offer. Image Kevin Joseph Styling Sophie Robinson Post production Rob Lewis

SOAKED IN HISTORY Everyone knows how deep the Palladium brand goes; after being founded in 1920 to make much-needed tyres for the aviation industry, Palladium have steadily grown stronger. Utilising over 60 years of design knowledge, Palladium are all about modern manufacturing, premium materials and cutting edge styling, so when you rock your Baggy Leather Gussets from their Waterproof Collection, just remember each rainproof step is saturated in history.

GREAT THREADS With watertight assets – even down to the threading and the laces – these comfortably smart kicks will resist everything the massive bus that’s just splashed you, has to offer.

FESTIVAL FUN You’ll have nothing but good times if you wear these boots at the next festival. Don’t let mud, rain and the fact you still don’t have any tickets hold you back.

ON THE PALL Next time you move to a girl, make sure your chat up lines come correct. No one wants to go home early based on their shirt being covered in cocktails. If only your clothes could be made from the same material as your boots. Palladium’s Baggy Leather Gusset in Dust/Chocolate are £95 and available from Boxpark, Westfield and palladiumboots.com

LOUIS SMITH “YOU COULD SAY PEOPLE LIKE BECKHAM [HAVE GOT STYLE] BUT YOU KNOW FOR A FACT THAT HE’S GOT PEOPLE TELLING HIM WHAT TO WEAR.”

71

As one of the standout stars from the 2012 London Olympics, Louis Smith is at a crossroads. Does the Peterborough-bred gymnast continue to achieve greatness on the pommel horse – the latest in a long line of medals being the silver and bronze from the last Games – or does the 23 year-old use his newly embraced celebrity status to pursue another dream? On the eve of his Strictly Come Dancing announcement Danny Walker discusses his options... Image Jake Green Photo assistant Pharoah Styling Cynthia Lawrence-John Stylist assistant Nada Dahab Grooming Shreya A

GROWING PAINS

What was it like growing up with your mum in Peterborough? It was cool, there was pretty much no violence; it was quite a nice place to grow up. Just me, my mum, my brother and my nan. How did not having a father around shape the way things went? I think growing up without a dad was a lot of strain on my mum. She was trying to make sure my brother and I were brought up correctly. Doing gymnastics gave me direction in life and taught me about punctuality, targets and goals. Gymnastics kind of whipped me into shape. I was kind of my own father figure. When did you first meet with coach Paul Hall and the people who guided you, what did he think of you? I started gymnastics at a local club in Werrington, Peterborough, I was there for about two years and then I moved to Huntingdon, where I’ve been ever since. Paul has been my coach for about 15/16 years. He’s been very influential in my career. When I was younger, I think everyone thought I was a little terror. This hyperactive little kid with too much energy; when I meet my mum’s friends and they say they haven’t seen me [since I was younger], the first thing I do is apologise [laughs].

TEAM GB

In the 2008 Beijing Olympics you were the first British gymnast to win a medal since 1908, what was that feeling like? Winning that first medal was a stepping stone but since then it’s been fantastic. I have carried that expectation and pressure for four years up to the London Olympics. It was hard with everyone expecting me to win a gold medal. What was it like when you finally went into the auditorium? It was daunting; I’m not going to lie. When 72 / RWDMAG.COM

you’ve got 20,000 people screaming your name it’s a scary feeling and in an event like gymnastics it’s important to block out the crowd and try and stay focus on what you need to do. Obviously, when I land my routines you can then soak up the atmosphere and the excitement. Watching the silver solo performance at The Olympics, that was so clinical, it looked perfect to us, what did it feel like not getting gold? It felt like a big kick in the stomach to be honest, especially after watching all of the performances back. I can say that is the best routine I’ve ever performed in my whole career ever. I definitely feel it was worth a gold medal. But the judges did their thing. I had to settle for silver.

WOMEN TROUBLE

Breaking up with your girlfriend during the build up, what did that mean to your concentration? That was tough, it was hard, I loved her and it really did derail me for a while last year. It took me a while to get back on track but I got there finally in the end. I went to the World Championships and got a bronze so I was well on my way to getting ready for the Olympics and I kind of made a conscious decision not to get involved with women until after the Olympics. Bloody women. So was it a good thing in the end or was she your rock? She meant a lot to me because after Beijing my life completely changed overnight; I basically went from a nobody to instantly becoming a role model. That was a hard change to grasp and she was kind of there whilst I was going through it. Losing her, it wasn’t just a normal break up like a normal girlfriend. She meant a lot more to me than that. It was hard to deal with that but you know, what will be will be. So, you’d say, for the ladies, you’re available and ready... >>

“IT WAS DAUNTING; I’M NOT GOING TO LIE. WHEN YOU’VE GOT 20,000 PEOPLE SCREAMING YOUR NAME IT’S A SCARY FEELING”

74 / RWDMAG.COM

<< I’m single and ready to mingle... to a certain extent. What would be your ideal woman? [Pauses for a while and really thinks]... Ideal woman... Someone who’s easy going/ fun. Someone that doesn’t have to be glammed up all the time, someone who’s very naturally beautiful, someone who can quite easily stick a pair of comfys on and chill on the sofa. Not have to worry about doing her make-up before she comes down in the morning. Someone who is just a cool, chilled out girl with nice morals. Someone who respects their family and doesn’t mind interacting with kids. On top of that, someone who is very aesthetically pleasing. And what is all this about, loads of condoms in the Olympic village? There were a lot of condoms, well I assume there were a lot because there was a big box that came around and there were only a few left when I stuck my hand in. They were the non-latex ones which is pretty cool but you know there is loads of talk about the Olympics and the last couple of nights, the Olympic village was a big sex fest. It wasn’t like that at all. Team GB had their own little party so everyone could converse and have a chat. It was quite a relaxed evening. Yeah, they were handing out condoms but I think that was just a case of better to be safe than to be sorry. So yeah, it was cool. So you stuck to your guns. Yeah, nothing was about to distract me from getting medals. Not even if Kelly Brook or anyone had come along... the Olympics is first. I met one or two girls along the way – before the Olympics – that were quite keen on going out for a meal and going out on a date, but I just kind of told them to hold it, ‘Not yet.’

SWAG OR SWAG?

How would you describe your style? I think my style depends on how I’m feeling when I wake up. I wear outfits that will suit me on the day. Sometimes when I wake up on a day and I’m not quite feeling up for it, some things just don’t look right. I think it’s how you swag yourself. You know. I like this kind of look [points at clothing from the shoot]. This smart school boy, buttons done up to the top. But I also like the relaxed look. V-neck, you know. I’d say I’m cool, quirky and original. Any terrible style moments? Erm... probably none that I’d like to remember. I’ve probably eradicated them from my memory. Back in the day when

I was a youngster, when I was a yout’, I used to like baggy jeans and baggy tops. American styles... I quite quickly moved on from that. Were you the only one in Peterborough to be rocking these styles? Na, but I was probably the only one in my school. Who do you think has style? I don’t think any of the top celebs dress themselves. I think they’ve all got stylists. Labrinth has got good style; he’s got something fresh going on. Tinie Tempah has got swag. Skepta, he’s cool. The JLS boys are always looking sharp. They’ve probably got stylists though, that tell them what to wear. You could say people like Beckham but you know for a fact that he’s got people telling him what to wear. ‘You look good, you should wear this’. No one tells me what to wear. If you were going to have one item that you could make, so a Louis Smith range, what would that be? [Thinks long a hard] probably a fresh pair of jeans. Quirky jeans. I’m so fussy. When it comes to wearing trousers and stuff, you’ve got to look cool. You can get away with wearing shoes and tops [that are the same] but everyone else has got pretty much plain jeans. I like different jeans. That is why I want to have my own clothing range. I’ve got so many cool ideas that I want to do and I don’t really see any clothes out there that are like it. Lastly, what does the future hold for you? Will we see you as a television presenter or going back for gold... I dunno, it’s a tough question there is so much to think about. After competing in this Olympic Games, there are so many doors that are open with so many opportunities; I could go into media. I could go into fashion. I could go into business. Or property. There are so many different things. I need to take a look at what I want to do. I’ll leave it a few weeks and then get back into the gym and see what my body is saying. A NEW LIGHT

The delicate vocals of Ellie Goulding have been serenading our ears since she surfaced back in 2010 but now two years down the line Nardene Scott finds a more mature, confident, songstress, who in the process has found an edgy boyfriend, fresh sound and a sexy little style.

“Tea. Like I’m drinking right now,” Ellie answers almost immediately telling us of what she’s missed with constant trips back and forth to the US. Having just made the climb to the Top 5 there with Lights after spending nearly 30 weeks in the Top 100; the longest climb in history appears to be down to the gradual (nonpushy) exposure, appearing on Saturday Night Live, Ellen, David Letterman, Lupe Fiasco sampling the track on his Lightwork single, etc. over the past year or so. Oh yeah, there was also that super low profile gig she was requested to do for that Will and Kate couple. “Well yeah, we kept in touch for a bit, it was really fun and really special and obviously just an extremely beautiful occasion, like one of the best nights that I’ve had probably ever,” the romantic remembers of the Royal Wedding.

LET’S CLEAR THINGS UP

Whilst debut album Lights was all about lasers and luminosity, focused on marrying electro and folk, the newly pinktinted singer’s 2012 offering reflects a more sure of itself sound. “I’ll always be the same writer and inspirations are always kind of the same, the thing that has changed is like sonically, I just know a lot more about how I want things to sound,” the polite one clears up (Editor: Can’t wait to hear this). One thing that hasn’t changed, is the fitness regime, those pap pics you used to see of a Nike clad Ms. Goulding sweating up a storm, may be down to her military workout plan, “Yeah I like running so I run, I do cardio for an hour and I do weights and sit ups, press ups, burpees, loads of stuff... I just like exercising. A lot.” Our muscles tense up just hearing that. Having been spotted at a few Skrillex shows over the past few months as their relationship flourishes, as well

“OH GOD! I HAVE NO IDEA…IF SOMEONE PROPOSED TO ME I’D WANT IT TO BE OBVIOUSLY ROMANTIC BECAUSE I AM A ROMANTIC BUT WHO KNOWS” as working on her own music, promo, travelling around the globe, we’re sure keeping fit is a help, plus there’s the chance of picking up some tips from Skrillex’s mayhem filled sets. “Yeah, I’ve picked up stuff from his show and from lots of shows I just want this one to be more special and a bit more epic and something that people remember,” the falsetto fitness fanatic states, before adding, “I think it would be crazy if I hadn’t been affected by all the stuff that I’ve done in the last couple of years, so I guess there was quite a lot of naivety about me the first time around... I feel a bit more mature now.”

ANSWERS PLEASE

From the Soundcloud-crashing Tinie Tempah-featuring freebie Hanging On to the cinematic Anything Could Happen, it’s clear there’s a more authoritative entity to the Hereford-raised girl’s heartfelt tunes. Liking the thought of people being proposed to via the latter song, there’s less thought into how she’d like to be proposed to. “Oh God! I have no idea...if someone proposed to me I’d want it to be obviously romantic because I am a romantic but who knows.” We’re sure the high speed pulsating Sigma remix of Hanging On wouldn’t be a first choice then, despite Goulding being a huge fan of the track, the first of many remixes - “I’m sure there will be more, I get remixed a lot,” we’re set to see from the kingfisher >>

THAT BIRD MUSIC Ellie’s Halcyon album made us wonder about what other beautiful ‘bird’ related music was out there; we came up with our faves below.

Birdman Ft. The Clipse What Happened To That Boy Brrrrrr... yeah that might have been a reach but the fact that Birdman is on the track qualifies it right?

Birdy Nam Nam Goin’ Hard (Skrillex Goin’ Hard Remix) There’s not a lot of bird sounds involved, OK, honestly there’s none but we imagine your neighbours feathers’ being ruffled playing this super loud.

Rihanna Ft. Young Jeezy Go Hard We just like this song, plus her name is ‘Robyn’ Fenty.

STYLE SAVVY We’ve noticed Ellie switch things up lately from the leather crop tops to the Boy London snapbacks so thought we’d let her tell us about turning the swag up a notch or two.

We’ve noticed your style change recently and become a little more sexed-up, is that something you have actively tried to do or is that part of a whole coming of age? I think I just like clothes more and so I think I’m a lot pickier and I like wearing a lot of black and white. At the moment, I’ve got pink hair and because I like being so comfortable, I’ve discovered jogging bottoms that actually are comfortable and look good as well. I’ve got some wicked ones that my stylist found for me and they don’t look scruffy they actually look quite cool. I think I’m just a bit more grown up, I suppose.

And your three favourite items right now? My Louboutin handbag which is like tartan with studs on it, I don’t think anyone else has it so it’s brand new which is wicked (giggles). So I have that and then like an Acne leather jacket with like a blue furry collar and then I have just my new Nike trainers, my running trainers they’re just like really cool luminous green. What is your biggest style turn off/on? Erm I dunno, I see weird stuff on guys all the time, like really low cut tops where you can their nipples, it’s a bit weird. I don’t really mind. If I like a guy, I like a guy; I don’t really care how he dresses to be honest. Keep up to date with Ellie’s fresh fashion over on her instagram @elliegoulding

<< inspired album titled, Halcyon;. We’re secretly hoping that Skrillex takes a stab at the souped-up synths on Figure 8 but she stays pretty schtum about the upcoming single packages. We do however get an explanation of the album’s name, having Googled ourselves into a world of confusion. “It’s like a bird that brings calm to stormy season and the song has got, like, a sea theme. It’s like the idea of healthy and good days and days of positivity and happiness and I just thought it would be a beautiful word.”

SAD TIMES

Purposely trying to avoid love tales this time around didn’t work out, so the tracks seem to have taken a slightly sad, yet uplifting, tone (which we imag-

ine must be hard to tour all year, as is the plan) but that doesn’t faze the guitar strumming one. “Even if I’m happy I can still write sad songs, lots of writers and artists do that. My favourite writer in the world is basically an old, happily married man that writes like the darkest stories ever.” Still not sure what to make of the red triangle wrist tattoo or what the new illuminati-esque logo means, then make sure you get down to her upcoming Jazz Cafe show and get your pre-order on to decipher it for yourself. Anything Could Happen is released on 30 September followed by the LP Halcyon on 8 October. # UNSUNG HERO, CAMDEN TOWN, MUHAMMAD ALI, DESIGN, GORILLA

IN THE LAB With Unsung Hero all about living a life less ordinary it’s no wonder fashion designer Jc Adams triumphed in this month’s creative opportunity to design his own t-shirt for the brand. We soon delved even deeper into the mind of the Ape Apparel founder/designer to get to grips with just how this winning design came about. Image Pharoah

“As an artist I understand what it means to create,” the 25 year-old tells us about how his creative mind churns. “My mind operates quite rapidly, and all it takes is a pen and piece of paper to turn thought to fruition.” No wonder JC Adams beat the competition in order to get one of his ‘gorilla’ - that’s how he describes his style - designs on an Unsung Hero Tshirt. “I originally started Ape Apparel to spread a message - A Positive Example - and to customise my own wardrobe,” the unique styler tells us. “I soon warmed to others wearing my art.” RWD headed down to the design studio to snap the artist in action, “I feel like I’ve achieved. These things seem farfetched when you’re a kid... It’s an acknowledgement that my creativity doesn’t go unnoticed and that my aptitude is a blessing.” If there was one person the Aitor Thorpe heroing Adams would want to see wearing his clothing though, it’s legend, Muhammad Ali. Continuing to give young creatives that much needed platform, this month rising clothing brand Unsung Hero recognises clothing designer JC Adams who wears t-shirt by Unsung Hero. # AMY WINEHOUSE, GUY CHAMBERS, EAST LONDON, HOODY, BRACES

STYLER

Having literally found his ‘Voice’ again, via Will.i.am and the BBC, the falsetto reaching Tyler James entered the music industry for a second time this year, putting behind him a tumultuous past and focusing on the future. Nardene Scott heads down to the Metropolis Studios to hear about the new album, his smart sense of style and an intense alternative ending to his Single Tear video.

84 / RWDMAG.COM

So having just heard Single Tear for the first time, tell us a little bit about it? This is how songs come about [flicks through audio soundbites on his phone]. We wrote it in Guy Chambers’ studio, Single Tear means the most to me I think... I hate constantly talking about Amy [Winehouse] but whatever... I have a different perspective on life generally because of that. Say the love of my life [holds face in hands] she hurt me so bad that I actually don’t feel anything for her anymore, I don’t give a f**k what she’s up to because she literally stripped me of everything. When I think, I’ve been single for seven years and now all of a sudden my life is changing quickly, everything I’ve written about is me realising things for the first time. What about looking forward? Any songs about the future? There’s nothing on there about the future specifically but there’s a song I’ve written called Brave which is kind of my stance on life now. Which is ‘Stop being a p***y Tyler.’ Like my first audition, I knew I was gonna f**k up, I did f**k up but I was like just make yourself do it and suffer the consequences because you can’t just imagine that one day you’ll be signed again. You can’t be that frightened, so there’s songs like that on the album about grabbing life by the balls, there’s songs about relationships and friends, like Friendly Fire which is all about having a friend, their past is kind of f**ked up and hurts them and therefore you get hurt because of it. It’s my way of saying don’t worry, it’s all good, I understand why you were such an a***hole! What have you taken on board from the last time you were in the industry? I’m just... well it’s an obvious thing to say but a lot more mature. I’ve been through a sh*tload, like f**king half drinking myself to death, rehab and the last year has been mental. When a lot happens in your life you can just get lost. I knew what I wanted to do from an early age and I was hell bent on being an artist and getting a record deal, to the point where I got myself into theatre school at 12. Because I grew up with f**k all, in a

council house in Canning Town. I was determined and somehow by the age of 18, I was managed by one of the biggest managers in the world. This time around like Single Tear for example, that’s the kind of stuff I’ve always wanted to do. I never did before because I was like literally going through a phase I was really into my jazz; I still am into these things but my whole teenage life I was well into R&B. As you get older you find your feet and appreciate something like a Beatles song. I wanted to make an album that started from songs, no, ‘I’ve got this beat’ or ‘Here’s a vibe.’ Nah, let’s sit down with a piano because you can take it in any direction. Tell us about the video for Single Tear... There’s loads of beautiful girls in it and I have to kiss some of them, I know it’s terrible... No it’s starts and I’ve smashed up a hotel room and found a video of my girlfriend and some other bloke. Then I get my own back on her and it gets all dramatic; I end up at the restaurant with my girl and this guy and hand her the video to let her know that I know. I can’t do at the end of the video what I’d actually do, according to the director because I’d shoot them through the window or douse them in petrol and set fire to them. [PR: Just for the record that’s not really what he said]. In that moment if you happened to have a gun you’d bloody use it, you would and you’d regret it afterwards. [PR: This is all hypothetical]. That bloke would get shot, or at the very least beaten to a pulp with the gun. [PR: I might do that if you keep saying this in interviews]. At the end of the day the concept of the video is all about that type of sh*t hurting; I’ve never been through that specific scenario and I can only pray to God that that never happens because I would hate to see that. In all fairness, I think I would just walk out, I’d be so distraught. >>

“I’VE BEEN THROUGH A S**TLOAD, LIKE HALF DRINKING MYSELF TO DEATH.” 85

TYLER ON STYLE “I WANNA BE WELL SMART AND THAT’S JUST HOW I DRESS.” << His personal style Chino’s probably, braces, chino’s... No, I always have to wear a shirt. I dunno. When I was a little boy, I used to look at my uncles and growing up in east London. They’d always wear like smart suits and stuff like that. Even when they went to the pub. It’s just a traditional east London thing, like my Granddad would blatantly put on a suit going to the pub and be like ‘You’ve got to look smart’. I used to love that because when I was a kid in east London I was wearing tracksuits and sh*t like that, because that was what was cheap and that’s what you wore. I always used to think when I was older, I wanna be well smart and that’s just how I dress. I don’t really think about it, though I have got bang into braces over the last few months. Fashion disasters... Years ago, nothing recently but I went through this phase of wearing hoodies and Evisu jeans... Yeah I would wear a hoody in bed, like I do love a hoody, like I’ve got a couple of Franklin & Marshall ones but I’d wear it in the studio but not today because there’s people coming down. But, I just like dressing smart I think. Shed a tear for the lack of hoodies and embrace braces over OfficialTylerJames on Instagram

# BREAK-UPS, DAPPY, SWAGGER, GRIME, DOT ROTTEN

RISING STAR

Describing himself as “a personal rapper”, ex-Axe FM MC Ryan Esstar knows what he likes and where he’s heading. With his new single Break Up about to drop, he chats to RWD about real life break-ups, his sound and his plans for the future.

Break Up features Darren Martyn with a remix from Coldsteps. How did those collaborations come about? I sent Darren a video to check out and we decided to do some work together so created Break Up. We wanted a dirty remix and thought Coldsteps would be good for it. We take it Break Up is based on a true story... has the ex-girlfriend in question heard the song? It’s a true story; I mentioned some really personal things that I know she would have felt. I heard from a friend that she’d heard it and that her new boyfriend was angry. I apologise, but that’s just the way it goes. What to you is ultimate break-up behaviour? What I can’t stand is when a girl purposely tries to make you jealous of another guy, or talks constantly about an ex. One time, a girl made a fake Facebook account of a guy and posted over her own wall to make me jealous. We saw your video blog about being in RWD. What does it mean for you to be in the magazine? It’s a big deal! I always pick up the magazine, so to think that I read the last issue and now I’m in its like ‘wow’! I’ve seen huge stars being interviewed in RWD and now it’s me! What are your plans for the next few months? I’m going to see how far Break Up can go, then I’ve got some serious tracks in the pipeline... as soon as enough people have heard Break Up, something crazy is going to land real quick! Do you see yourself as a versatile artist? Grime is where I started, so the underground sound will always be in my nature. There’s a song called Nocturnal, which is going to get people excited. It’s more of an experimental track with elements of grime/dubstep, but it’s a possible single. Pick three artists in the UK scene, who are going the route you’d like to see yourself follow? One of my favourite artists is Ghetts, his lyrical skill is just insane. I think Dappy is a really talented guy, he doesn’t follow the crowd. Another one is Dot Rotten, he’s not just a rapper, he sings and produces too, and that’s something I’m really into. This being our style issue we have to know on a swagger scale of 1-10, where do you stand? Ten obviously! I’m just a swagger don. You have it or you don’t. Daniel Craig Skyfalls back on to the big screen this month, as 007 makes his first appearance since (literally) falling into the Olympic opening ceremony, alongside her majesty The Queen. FILMS If you lift your style directly from film, grab your notebook... Looper Entertainment One UK Cert 15 After purposely avoiding the hype - this Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon-Levitt starring sci-fi flick has been billed as one to watch by almost all critics - and just going to see Rian Johnson’s directorial debut, on the bases of the fast-paced trailer alone, we weren’t dissapointed. Despite the failed efforts to pack Gordon-Levitt’s face with enough prosthetics to make him a look like younger version of Willis, the time-travelling caper is a good watch. Whilst being distracted by said facial imperfections, the action soon picks up as the Dark Night Rises’s star’s character gets to the bottom of a certain situation that could result in the end of the world [#nospoilers]. The interesting concept is also matched by the exciting story arch, making it live up to the hype that I originally ignored. Easily looped itself into our films of 2012 list.

Forza Horizon Microsoft Xbox 360 Like the sun setting on the horizon on a daily basis, you can more or less guarantee that Microsoft are going to release a yearly Forza title, and they haven’t let us down this year, with the fifth in the series, Horizon, just around the corner. In this outing Turn 10 Studios have taken their hefty, and ever increasing, list of supercars off the track and onto the streets and countryside surrounding Colorado’s fictional Horizon music festival, and opened up every terrain imaginable for you to explore however you see fit. Although whatever you do has to take place within the confines of your chosen motor vehicle, obviously. The series’ finely-tuned mechanics feel even more refined than ever before and the option of riding around the city and doing whatever you want, be it challenging AI drivers or just checking out the stunning scenery, means there’s plenty of things to do, that will keep you going for hours on end. Factor in a Dubstep-heavy soundtrack and in-car radio stations mixed by Rob Da Bank, and what you have is the ultimate Sunday driving game. That more than makes up for its relative lack of realism (in comparison to its predecessors) thanks to its emphasis on the fun, and variety, of driving. 94 / RWDMAG.COM

# FIFA 13, MISSING RIZZLE KICK, RWD LOSERS, JAMES ACTUALLY WON

KICK ABOUT Putting out a tweet, inviting someone, ANYONE, from Twitter to come to play us at FIFA 13 was a risky move. Thankfully none other than rapping Rizzle Kick, Jordan Stephens accepted. And so it was on: RWD vs. Rizzle, in a best of three tourney. Commentator James Humphrys.

96 / RWDMAG.COM

First up to run the Rizzle gauntlet, is serial excuse maker, Danny, who chooses Man United to take on Jordan’s Man City.

RIZZLE 1-0 RWD

Jordan barely has the chance to finish off a mouthful of toffee popcorn and the last dregs of his mug of tea before Danny cheaply kicks-off... After an early scare, Jordan takes control of the match, putting together some slick passing as Man City. “One of my buttons was stuck,” cries Danny, but that doesn’t change anything. Before he’s had the time to settle he’s 2-0 down and relying on a

penalty to help out. “What, that’s not a penalty!” Jordan exhales! “It can’t be.” The ref responds by simply pointing to the spot. “He’s back in the game,” cries Danny. With a few close calls from our Editor behind him, Jordan soon regains his two goal cushion with a Balotelli screamer from 30 yards out. “Ooooooooooh!” he screams. “Balotelli!” as he stands up to replicate his classic celebration. Danny answers back with a goal in the 86th minute. “3-2! It’s not over!” As Jordan prepares to respond with: “It’s definitely over...” Danny grabs another goal. Michael Carrick the scorer. The room goes wild.

FIFA 13 EA Sports Xbox 360, PS3, PC There are a few days that get marked on our calendar every year, without fail; Christmas, our mum’s birthdays and, of course, FIFA release day. In case you haven’t done the same already, do it now, because this year EA Sports may just have created the best football simulation game ever. FIFA 12 was awesome - that’s a given. However, it wasn’t without its faults. Tactical defending was a bit hit and miss, and the collision engine wasn’t quite there. That’s about all we could criticise it for. 13 erases these problems entirely. Tactical defending is no longer as stand-offish, as it was previously, and collisions feel more natural than ever before, with pressure now affecting the opposing player’s composure. In addition, EA Sports have added a whole host of new features, including tactical free kicks, loading screen skill challenges and worthwhile Kinect support which can see you get booked for swearing when a referee makes a dodgy call! This one should keep you going for a good 12 months or so, easily.

“I was caught slipping... If you actually win, I’m going to cry.” The final whistle goes, and it’s on to... erm... Golden Goal. Determined not to let Danny complete a miraculous comeback, Jordan immediately asserts his dominance again, with David Silva twisting and turning through the Man United backline to score a wonder goal. Game over. “It’s over. Great goal, I’ll give you that,” Danny concedes.

RIZZLE 1 – 1 RWD

And now on to me and Chelsea to take on Jordan’s Arsenal. “Leeeeeegooo,” Jordan cries out as the action gets under way, doing a couple

of kick-ups on the centre circle to get things started. I start off positively, testing Szczesny with crosses. “Getting the first cross in is pretty much the equivalent of winning, right?” After distracting me with some talk of Arsenal and their signings this year, Jordan scores with Podolski. “Nooo,” I shout, very loudly. With 80 minutes showing on the clock, Jordan brings on his secret weapon, little Andrei Arshavin and returns to his showboating ways. The 90th minute approaches and I bring it back through Chelsea’s midfield maestro Juan Mata and the room explodes for the second time.

RWD are back in it. “Oh my god!” Jordan cries, “I can’t believe it’s happened again!” After the final whistle goes, and 30 minutes of uneventful Golden Goal action has taken place, it’s on to penalties. I hold my nerve and take the shootout 5-3 with final penalty going down the centre. “Right down the middle?” He sighs. “Where are your morals?” RWD are back on terms.

RIZZLE 2 – 1 RWD

Onto the decider, and it’s video wizard Greg’s turn to save RWD... he LOSES!!! FIFA 13 is out now. Check RWDmag. com for the hilarious video of this event 97

# WALES, TELEVISION, 10/10 BLOWJOBS, GIRL-ON-GIRL, CHAVVY TRACKSUITS

BE KIND REWIND RWD NICOLE FROM MTV’S THE VALLEYS

BE KIND RATING Words we had to get in: bum, blowjob: Success! She’s not shy, this one. Quote we had to leave out: “My mum already knows I’m naked all the time!” What we learned: Nicole doesn’t have an Xbox but she loves her PlayStation and her fave game is, erm, Pop Idol... don’t all rush to buy it at once. Be Kind Rewind RWD Rating: Average. We weren’t mean, but we certainly got the poor girl her talking dirty.

Think Geordie Shore, but with a frisky bunch from the Welsh Valleys. Having met the cast, it is safe to say that RWD are looking forward to MTV’s latest offering... starting with hairdressaer, wild child and wannabe-stylist, Nicole.

So Nicole, before MTV’s The Valleys, you worked as a hairdresser, did you ever really mess someone’s hair up by accident? You can tell us... [In thick Welsh accent, like a female Robbie Savage] No, I never actually cut anyone’s hair because I didn’t want to cut something off that I wasn’t supposed to! I was just colouring and stuff but I did my nana’s hair a few times and I probably did it wrong, but because she’s my nana I don’t think she minded! Word on the street is that we’re gonna see a lot of your bum on the show. Where’s the weirdest place you’ve ever got it out? Oh yeah, my bum’s always out! I’ve got a banging bum, so I’ve got to show it off! To be honest, it’s just constantly out so I can’t think of the weirdest place... literally anywhere. Your co-star Aron actually rated your bum 10/10 and said that he’d love to bang it... does he? [Laughs] You’ll have to wait to find out! I do still fancy him though. He’s got a nice bum as well! You’re 19 and you want to be a stylist. What is it about styling that you love? I just love clothes really. I like making other people look good too, cos some people dress themselves horrible. 98 / RWDMAG.COM

You do have a very unique style... how would you describe it in three words? LIKE A RAINBOW! Any key style tips for guys? [Gets even Welsher] Well, if you’ve got a good body, don’t wear anything, like! But when you do wear clothes, just cool funky things really. And what is a complete turn off? Tracksuits cos they’re so chavvy! On the show, you say that at Valley BBQ’s, “the johnnies come out, you blow them up and pop ‘um!” - Is that a standard thing to do at Valley BBQs? Yeah, probably! I mean, if we’re having a BBQ, we’re gonna have fun and play drinking games and get the johnnies out... other wise it’d be boring like! In the very first episode you gave quite a detailed explanation (and demo) of how great you are at blowjobs. How good do you think you are on a scale of 1-10? And how did you get so good?!

10/10! Definitely! People are always telling me how good I am. I think my tongue and my lips are just really good, like! They’re just perfectly suited for it! You kiss your co-star Lateysha in the very first episode. How was that? Well, it’s not the first time I’ve kissed a girl so it wasn’t a shock or anything. There’s plenty more action like that in the rest of the series! Lateysha goes on about how her and Leeroy could be the Beyonce and Jay-Z of Wales. Thoughts? I think she’s just kidding herself really! What’s your plan? Well hopefully in time, become a big stylist. I’d love to style Cheryl Cole. She’s literally my idol. I’d also like to do modelling and hopefully bring out stuff like fake tan, hair extensions, make up and everything. I just love stuff like that! Follow @NicoleValleys and watch The Valleys on MTV from 15 September
