“Architectural Masturbation” is a compilation consisted of selected works created during my academics years and also several competitions. “Architectural Masturbation” also means the act of formal, visual, verbal or written self gratification (or any combination of the aforementioned) during the process of, or upon 'completion' of designing a building. In other words is the condition when a design professional produces a design that incites a "gasm," resulting in the enthusiastic exclamation, which the author of this book achieved during the process of the design. The main reason why I compose this portfolio with such a controversial title is to verify my theory which claim that, word with controversial, taboo, or surprisingly unethical meaning is most likely will success to draw attention of people to read it. Lets just say, the theory can only be proven by the reason you open this book at the first place. Just a reminder, The title which is used for this portfolio is nothing to do with the personality or interest of the writer.
The portfolio displays three works that exhibit the author’s sensitivity towards human issues and also showing varies design approaches to solve a particular problems.

Space/Circulation Concept
The site located in Warung Bata subdistrict in the eastern part of Yogyakarta, is situated on the bank of Gajah Wong River. Only ruins are left from the site where the king and his royal family used to spend their leisure days in the past. The main section comprised a building on stilts and two pools with round and square shapes. It was from the building on stilts that the king enjoyed the beauty of the site and the view of the surrounding environment. Rejowinangun Ruins Trail Park is designed to preserve the remaining legacy from the 1700s. The design proposed new kind of experience to learn the history. It will be a fun way for younger generations to learn about their ancestors’ legacy after it was abandoned for almost 200 years. The trail park will also facilitated with many facilities as the media for many activity maintained by existed communities in Yogyakarta.

Narcotic Vicious Circle
Narcotics convict criminals problem cannot be solved by just putting them behind the cells. They need to be supervise strictly to prevent themselves from their narcotics abuse habitude. One of the ways to avoid or mostly reduce such habitude is to press their addiction through narcotics rehabilitation process. “Pri X Hab is an architectural research of how to create a new typology of narcotic correctional institute (narcotic prison) that combine the default concept of correctional facilities with the rehabilitation process from rehabilitation facilities. It’s a hybrid between correctional facilities and rehabilitation facilities . The inmates will not only be convicted but will also be medically-treated and their daily life will be filled with positive activities. With the result of that , not only the narcotics convicted inmates will be helped to decrease or even erase their narcotics addiction, but also will be experienced new skills that they can positively bring to the healthy community of the nation.
Narcotic Abusing Based on the data from National Narcotic Board of Indonesia in 2009, the numbers of narcotic abusing in Indonesia has reach 4.9 Million people, and keep raising through years
The Post-Prison Inmates The narcotic inmates tend to afraid of the prison after the punishment, but the addiction remains.
NARCOTIC VICIOUS CIRCLE
The Existing System The system of Indonesian correctional institution is only designed for general crime (murder, robbery, etc) which focused on mental or social approach. Narcotic convict need different approach
The Punishment The narcotic convict is prisoned ranged from a year punishment to death penalty.
