Pixel Genetics

What are pixel genetics?

Since the famous Dr. Fo Tochop Moreau started his work the world has seen the creation of several new species of animalia introduced in the world. Disregarding what took nature eons to perfect, he has wielded the power of technology to splice new creatures together for his own pleasure. Displaying a shear mastery of the digital genetic code, he splices genes at will. Taking the core layers and using a blending mode combining cloning and masking, these creatures could never come about naturally. He then releases these creatures back into the wild in numbers in hopes that they will flourish. Some have seen more success than others making some question the doubters of Dr. Moreau’s work. Whether the creature is hideous or ridiculous, one can’t help but marvel at this disruption of the natural process..............

Rhinosquirrel Sciuridae Rhinocerotidae The Rhinosquirrel or the Squirrelnocerous is one of the more recent additions to Dr. Moreau’s collections. Introduced into the ecosystem in North America, this agile creature is highly territorial and quite fierce. But for all their ferocity they are quite unintelligent and have very poor eye sight. Thus, limiting the threat of the tree dwelling beast.

Did you know?

• It’s horn can open acorns. • The stripes help camouflage with the trees. • A full speed charge can reach up to 25 mph.

Chimparrot Psittaciformes Pan Troglodytes The Chimparrot is a curious creature. Highly intelligent and intuitive, they have quickly become a force to be reckoned with in their habitat. With a vegetarian diet and a taste for berries, the addition of wings to this animal makes the treetops its home and playground. Roosting in large trees a troop can occupy a territory as large as 50 square miles.

Did you know?

• It can use its arms to hold food in flight. • Chimparrots are highly intelligent and can use tools. • Chimparrots live in large troops in the wild.

Hydraflamingo Polyphoenicopterus One of the more twisted creations produced by Dr. Moreau, this abomination is an extreme example of pixel manipulation. Despite having multiple heads, there are only two sets of organs for the creature. Flight has become impossible for the ungainly Hydraflamingo. A very odd behavior has been observed where this flamingo will repel a crocodile with a whirlwind head-butting technique. Confusing the predator it has somehow carved out its own niche.

Did you know?

• The number of heads it has is random. • It can sprout new heads up to two years of age.

Lion Meerkats Panthera Leo Suricatta This particular species of Meerkats have quickly risen to the top of their niche food chain in the plains of Africa. Their incredible eyes give them superb night vision making them excellent hunters of small game and insects. Their subterranean burrows keep the majority of the area predators at bay. Much like their feline relatives, the females of the pride do the majority of the hunting for the entire group.

Did you know?

• A pride consists of up to 50 individuals. • Together they can take down an animal up to 30 pounds.

Vulturilla Cathartes Aura Gorilla The ability to fly gives this mountain dwelling behemoth a distinct advantage over its land locked cousins. Mostly using flight to discover the most delicious berries high in the canopy, aerial combat has been reported over territory or mating disputes. Usually docile creatures, one does not want to stumble upon a sleeping Vulturilla. Being omnivores they can find a food source in virtually anything.

Did you know?

• They can see and smell food from over a mile away. • Dropping from the sky with great force is a common means of defense.

Zebra Heron Equus Grevyi Ardeidae This poor animal is a strange success story. Its ruggedness and defense skills have made its kind highly successful on the African savanna. Hyenas have quickly learned they do not like four hooves and a four foot beak attacking them back. Incapable of flight, later generations have produced smaller wings, suggesting that the wings will eventually disappear.

Did you know?

• Using its tiny wings to bound, it can jump close to 30 feet. • Its diet consists of mainly grasses and insects.

Chimerhino Diceros Bicornis Ceratotherium In his own twisted attempt at conservation, Dr. Moreau has combined a black and white rhinoceros to preserve the genes of both. Although the body appears to be that of a white rhino, the central black rhino controls the entire body. Not a very successful story for this animal as poachers have learned that they can now get more ivory from one animal who is slower and dumber than its natural cousins.

Did you know? • Each head competes for food with the other. • The central head controls the body
