The following conditions and/or items are not covered by the statutory warranty:

Damage Caused by Improper Maintenance

Dampness or condensation caused by failure to maintain proper ventilation

Damage caused by improper maintenance

Supplementary Warrantie

Warranties or agreements over and above the statutory warranties Such matters are between the builder and homeowner and are not enforced by Tarion Warranty

Normal Wear and Tear

Normal shrinkage of materials that dry out after construction such as nail pops or minor concrete cracking

Setting of soil around your home, if applicable

Scuffs and scratches to floor or wall surfaces caused by moving, decorating, or day-to-day use of your home

Damage Caused by Improper Maintenance

Damage caused by utilities or municipal services

Damage caused by floods, 'Act of God', acts from civil or military authorities, acts of war, riot, insurrection, civil commotion or vandalism

Damage by insects or rodents, unless it is the result of construction that does not meet the Ontario Building Code

Seasonal warranty items involve service requests regarding the exterior of the home which cannot be repaired effectively within the timelines set out in the your Homeowner Guide due to regular seasonal conditions and/or severe sustained weather
