If this sounds like you, maybe consider more island countertop space with a durable surface to allow for additional seating or more room to stand around and catch up. Also, think about how you want to configure your cupboards and cabinets to accommodate your needs and wants. Last, but certainly not least, think about lighting. Lighting can make a major impact on the atmosphere of your kitchen space, so you’ll want to plan and place it accordingly to be well suited during any time of the day or night.
