Project Statement To develop research and analysis skills of the case study house while introducing history & theory as disciplines of critical investigation, facilitating understanding and discussion of design. To introduce a number of twentieth-century and contemporary designers and their ideas by way of a critical study of significant houses and their landscapes. Ensuring to develop visual literacy by exposure to these houses and landscapes, reinforced by thorough graphic and three-dimensional representation of one of them.
Stages It is important to document the history and get an undertanding for how Frank Lloyd Wright build the Robie House and how it impacted other architects throughout time. From this understanding, drawings were made to further represent the learning process Plans

Mondo Materialis Using the concepts depicted from the case study house, introduce color theory as a primary element of form and materiality. Relating color, material, space and light in a 2-D drawing. Construct a model highlighting the concepts using multiple materials. Finally a one-point perspective is constructed from the colors pulled from the color theory.

Visitor Center To explore the design process through the development of a new building. Continue exploration of the history and theories of design, especially as these relate to process. Identify and develop the exploration of interior and exterior spaces by applying the understanding to the design of interior and exterior spaces (including elevations). Introducing materials and basic structural systems to emphasize intentions while being integral to design.
