2028 OLYMPIC MASTER PLAN Vancouver, BC | 2015 - 2016
THE DIVIDE In 2015, our graduate studio began a collaborative effort of designing a longterm Master Plan for a proposed 2028 Olympic bid. We selected the city of Vancouver to host the Summer Games due to existing infrastructure built for the 2010 Winter Olympics. I focused on the conceptual design, street experience, and Olympic Stadium design.

The False Creek Flats is currently a blank space in the fabric of Vancouver. We chose to enhance this area through the means of the 2028 Olympics. The Olympic Master Plan is organized by a singular datum which is on axis with BC Place, and Science World (two prominent Vancouver icons). This datum is a continuation to False Creek that effectively divides Vancouver’s downtown districts from the remainder of the city. Our studio has developed this element as a saltmarsh with park-like islands to enrich the False Creek Flats and Olympic Park.

OLYMPIC STADIUM My initiative for continuing the momentum of the 2028 Olympic Master Plan lies with designing the Olympic Stadium. Diagrams and physical modeling represent my current progress to a developing concept. I am interested in re-purposing the 60,000 seat venue to carry out another programmatic function after the Olympics. It will serve the city post-Olympics as a commercial complex, to invigorate the blank space known as the False Creek Flats.

THE SPINE My studio used parametric design while collaborating on fabricating the Spine. It serves as a seating element and focal point of the temporary architecture facility for the College of Architecture Planning and Design at Kansas State University. I was involved in conceptual design, joint detailing, and framing construction.

LONDON PAVILION Viewing Deck + Visitor Pavilion | London, England | 2014
CONTEXTUAL WEAVE The site particular to this project is situated on London Wall, a historically enriched street adjacent to remains of the ancient Roman Wall. To immerse in the full context of the project’s site, the public walkway literally weaves to connect visitors to the ruins and bridges over London Wall to the entrance of the Museum of London .

LINEAR INTEGRATION Situated on the prairie, this project becomes a piece of sculpture. Social spaces are separated from work space, and juxtaposed with minimal geometry to create identity. Student spaces reside in a grounded mass which establish permanence. Visitors enter a bar of light that lifts them off the prairie for a heightened experience.

PURYEAR MUSEUM One Artist Museum | East Village, NY | 2014
INHABITING THE VOID To accommodate a public museum in a residential neighborhood, there derives a need for public space. The art plaza is an inhabitable void between the separated program of the restaurant and the gallery. This public art space serves the residents of the East Village and transitions visitors into the the museum gallery.
