NEW LIFESTYLES; NEW LANDSCAPES
CONTEMPORARY DESIGN
Bentayga’s Drive Dynamics Mode, with Responsive Off-Road Settings, delivers more on-road and off-road configurations than any other car, making it easy to select the right configuration for any driving situation. More than ten new Driver Assistance systems have been developed to aid both urban driving and touring longer distances, while Bentayga is the first SUV to feature electronic Active Roll Control in the form of the Bentley Dynamic Ride System.
Through a full ground-up re-design, the all-new W12 petrol engine will give Bentayga the best power, torque and economy combination in the market.
Bentayga has more than 20 new features to support different lifestyles and pursuits, including roof rails, tow bar systems and tailored storage solutions. The hands free tailgate and boot easy load function are two examples of features that ensure Bentayga is highly practical in addition to all its performance and luxury attributes.
Bentley’s trademark powerline flows from above the front lamps, up over the large wheels and down the flanks of the all-aluminium exterior, providing a muscular stance. Not only are the front and rear lamps an integral part of the modern and striking design, functionally they are the most advanced lamps that have appeared on a Bentley.
It’s in-car infotainment system provides classleading performance and can be controlled through a combination of touch, voice and haptic controls. The Bentley Rear Entertainment system, with its two 10.2” Android Bentley Entertainment Tablets, ensures rear seat passengers enjoy a wealth of entertainment options.
Its performance is staggering: 0-100 kph in 4.1 seconds and a top speed of 301 km/h; figures previously unheard of in a SUV.
The Event Seat is a typically elegant and superior Bentley version of the classic SUV split tailgate. It is a unique, patented design and provides comfortable seating for two adults at the rear of the car. When not in use, it can be used as a luggage divider, or simply folded away at the rear of the boot.
Inside the cabin, look closely and you’ll see it has been designed to evoke the symmetry of the iconic Bentley ‘wings’ logo. Courtesy of the panoramic roof, light floods in from above to illuminate the fine details. The interior space can be tailored to your customer’s tastes with the widest range of leathers and veneers available in any SUV.
BENTAYGA
Bentayga’s 12-cylinder petrol engine uses a new Variable Displacement System to achieve classleading fuel economy and emissions of 292 g/km. It’s just one of many innovative features that make it the most technically advanced 12-cylinder powertrain available in any car.
With a choice of two seating configurations and an optional fitted luggage set, this is an SUV that has been designed for life, down to the last detail.

BENTAYGA – ENGINE OVERVIEW Bentayga’s all-new 12-cylinder petrol engine has been designed from the ground up to deliver an incredibly well balanced combination of power, torque and efficiency. With twin-scroll turbochargers, it combines the effortless performance of a 12-cylinder engine with the responsiveness of an 8-cylinder powerplant, and it does so whatever the driving conditions. The unique double-injection system employs a combination of direct and port injection to maximise fuel efficiency, while further efficiency boosts come via the Variable Displacement System – its operation virtually instantaneous and imperceptible to the driver – and start-stop technology. The result is the most advanced Bentley powertrain ever created.

BENTAYGA – CHASSIS ATTRIBUTES
ALL CONDITION PERFORMANCE Bentley Dynamic Ride. Bentayga is the first model in the automotive industry to have a high-voltage (48V), electrically-controlled Active Roll Control system, known as Bentley Dynamic Ride System. The result is class leading ride comfort, handling, steering and off-road ability.
Electronic stability control (ESC). The system includes a number of specific SUV related functions. Some have an 'on-road' focus whilst others are specifically designed to improve off-road capability. These features include:
Drive Dynamics Mode. First introduced in the Mulsanne in 2010, Bentayga takes this to the next level. Four driving modes are available as standard, 'Comfort', 'Sport', 'Custom' and 'Bentley'. Responsive Off-Road Settings (as a cost option) adds four additional driving models 'Mud and Trail', 'Sand', 'Dirt and Gravel' and 'Snow, Ice, Wet Grass'. All selectable by the driver via a rotary control in the centre console.
• Roll over mitigation. In critical situations where the car is in danger or rolling over are detected, very high pressure is applied to the appropriate wheel to break traction and reduce grip
Air suspension. As with all Bentley models, Bentayga has an air suspension system ensuring it remains at the designed ride height and body attitude under different conditions. There are four different ride heights which will ensure the Bentayga is always at the optimum ride height for the different terrains.
BENTAYGA

• Hill Descent Control (HDC). On steep downhill gradients the ESC will automatically regulate the Bentayga’s speed, allowing the driver to concentrate fully on steering • Electronic Differential Lock (EDL). Enables Bentayga to proceed even if a wheel has lost traction or contact with the ground • Trailer Stabilisation. The system detects if a towed item has started to sway dangerously, the brake will be applied as appropriate to oppose the swaying motion • All-Terrain Mode. On loose surfaces, this will allow an amount of wheel slip where required to ensure the vehicle keeps moving forward

BENTAYGA – CONNECTED CAR connected car*
An increasing customer requirement is to be ‘always connected’, even when in the car. Customers are expecting to be able to enjoy the same level of connectivity in the car as they enjoy out of it. The standard WiFi hotspot goes a long way towards providing this. As the first step in providing a full Bentley Luxury Connected Car experience, the Bentayga will see the introduction of Apple CarPlay, Google Earth, Streetview and POI Voice Search, and Real Time Traffic Information (RTTI).
Apple CarPlay Apple CarPlay allows a customer to use their iPhone functionality (calls, messages, music, video) without touching it. The iPhone connects to the car via a standard Apple lightning lead to the USB socket under the front centre armrest. The phone’s screen – with all CarPlay supported apps – are then displayed on the main infotainment screen and can be controlled either through voice (Siri), touchscreen, or the hard controls at the side of the screen.
Online Real Time Traffic Information RTTI – Enhances the usability of the navigation system by providing a live view of current traffic conditions. A green, amber and red colour code is overlaid on the maps to give a clear and immediate view of potential traffic issues.
Google Earth, Streetview and voice POI search Navigation maps are enhanced by using Google Earth and Streetview data streamed directly from Google. Voice controlled Point-of-Interest search enables easy access to the Google POI database. Please note that to use the Google based services and RTTI a SIM card with a data contract is required.
* In markets where they are available, Google services and online real time traffic information are supplied for a period of 3 years. They will then need to be renewed by the customer. BENTAYGA

BENTAYGA – PRESENTATION TIPS
BENTAYGA – PRESENTATION TIPS
Before demonstrating or loaning a Bentayga, as well as your normal checks and procedures, please check and do the following: PRESENTATION TIPS – PRE DRIVE
PRESENTATION TIPS – PRE DRIVE
Apart from the infotainment and audio demonstrations, these should all be carried out prior to first showing the car to the customer.
- If RSE is fitted, ask the customer in advance for their favourite film. Download it onto the internal memory of the Bentley Entertainment Tablets and show the customer how to play it. Explain the screen is specifically designed to be anti-glare and designed to meet all automotive standards. While doing so, provide an overview of the home screen menus, the other input sources (micro-SD card and micro-USB) and connect the tablet up to the internet via the vehicle’s WiFi hotspot (a data SIM will be required as mentioned). Demonstrate how the Bluetooth headphones can be connected, and how the film can be played either on one screen only or both simultaneously.
Drive Dynamics Mode: - Use the ‘Bentley’ setting for normal test drives - Use the ‘Sport’ or ‘Comfort’ setting as appropriate during the drive (please see test drive section) - For static display or photography the Bentayga should be at normal ride height Ensure you have a mobile phone that you have previously paired successfully with the car and you are therefore able to demonstrate how to do it.
- If the customer has an iPhone, demonstrate Apple CarPlay.
- The car comes with a WiFi hotspot (market dependent). Ensure you have a data SIM card to enable you to demonstrate it, and that you know how to connect up a mobile device to the car’s WiFi.
Check that the child lock feature is not engaged on the driver’s door switch pack as this will inhibit the rear window blinds (if fitted) as well as the windows.
- In advance, ask the customer for their favourite album or music tracks. Download the music and load it onto the jukebox (infotainment system hard drive). If Bentley Signature Audio or Naim for Bentley are fitted, ensure the optimum Digital Sound Processing (DSP) mode is selected for the type of music and the location of the occupants. Show the customer how to find it in the infotainment system, and while doing so, point out the other potential media sources: radio, digital TV if fitted, CD / DVD, 2 SD cards, Advanced Music Interface (AMI), WiFi streaming and Bluetooth streaming.
If the Mulliner Hamper is fitted, ensure that all the cutlery and crockery is correct and not damaged.

TEST DRIVE These notes are designed to be a help when presenting a car to a customer or loaning one out for a period of time; they are not designed to be a comprehensive product manual. There are many new features on the Bentayga, and in particular new technology, that it is impossible to cover everything. These notes cover what to demonstrate, but don’t go into the details of how to do it. To gain a real appreciation of the car and how it fits with their lifestyle, it is highly recommended that prospective customers are loaned a car for at least 48 hours. If this is not possible, it is important to understand in advance the features that the customer is most interested in in order to be able to demonstrate these in the time available. If only a limited test drive is available, it is imperative to choose your route carefully. The Bentayga is equally at home in cities, twisty country roads or at high speeds on highways; therefore, try to include a variety of roads on your drive.
TEST DRIVE EXTERIOR WALK-AROUND Lower bodywork panels available in technical grey and body coloured. Bentley signature ‘horseshoe’ integrated into the wide tailgate. All LED rear lamps with ‘B’ graphic. Large, oval exhaust tailpipes, echoing the lamp design. All aluminium exterior with a body structure mix of aluminium and high-strength steel. All aluminium side window brightware and roof rails. Panoramic roof as standard, with tilt and slide front panel and rear fixed panel.
Design unmistakably born from the Bentley marque.
Attention to detail both from a design and functional aspect: - recessed front Bentley ‘wings’ badge - magnetic battery charge point hidden in rear number plate surround
Optimum balance between sportiness, elegance and SUV ruggedness.
If fitted, demonstrate the hands-free tailgate opening and closing.
Superformed front fenders using aerospace technology.
If the electrically deploying towing option is fitted, demonstrate its operation from the switch in the boot; if it is a five seat car with the Luggage Specification, demonstrate the electric rear seat fold from the boot.
EXTERIOR WALK-AROUND
Four floating, full adaptive LED headlamps, incorporating the headlamp washer. Large, bright chrome radiator grille matrix; lower bumper grilles available in black or bright chrome. Characteristic, ultra-sharp powerlines running down the side of the car. Muscular rear haunch. Wing vent with integrated ‘B’. BENTAYGA

POCKET GUIDE
Demonstrate the easy loading function – lowering the rear suspension to enable easier access to the boot. Demonstrate how to fold the leather-trimmed boot load cover to increase boot space. If fitted, highlight the Bentayga Styling Specification, the Blackline Specification and the Deployable Sill Step. BENTAYGA

INTERIOR OVERVIEW
START-UP
Interior design based on the iconic Bentley ‘wings’ – in this case deployed in a ‘double-wing’ theme.
If fitted with the Event Specification demonstrate its operation thoroughly and highlight its benefits in comparison to a conventional split tailgate.
Horizontal elements from the cockpit and running around the interior of the car – more functional areas towards the bottom. Exquisite, hand-crafted veneers accentuated by a chrome pinstripe. Natural leather, hand-crafted to shape around complex interior forms. Harmonious materials – nothing jars or feels out of place. Highly tactile, precise touch-points: for example, gear lever, steering wheel. Unique twin-stitch motif to the Naim for Bentley speaker grilles. Obsessive attention detail evident in sharp radii; three rows on knurling on bulls-eye air vents, gear lever and rotary controls; and, extremely tight tolerances between switches and the veneered surface they sit in. Includes Mulliner Driving Specification with its iconic quilting – re-designed into perfect squares and re-positioned so they are visible from the exterior of the car. Highly usable storage areas integrated into the design: cooled glove box, door stowage, ergonomically positioned cup-holders front and rear, storage tray for small items such as keys and mobile phones. Hand-crafted and usable picnic tables (if fitted). Luxurious carpets in each of the 15 interior colours. Class-leading Bentley choice of stitching options and colour splits. BENTAYGA

POCKET GUIDE
Demonstrate the easy entry and exit functionality (in combination with the Deployable Sill Steps if fitted). Ensure all passengers are sitting comfortably and point out the distinctive aroma of natural leather – in perfect harmony with the luxurious ambience of the entire cabin. Mention the ‘command’ driving position. Ensure all passengers have adjusted their seats to the most comfortable position. Point out that there are 16 ways of movement (standard seats) and 22 ways with the Front Seat Comfort Specification, including adjustable bolsters and winged headrests. If the car has a four seat configuration, mention the electrical adjustments, the beautifully trimmed footrests and the rear centre console. Also mention the quilted backboard that encloses the rear cabin and sets new standards of opulence. Set front and rear climate controls – mention true 4-zone climate control. Pair the customer’s mobile phone with the car. Demonstrate the general operation and menu layout of the infotainment screen, including the various methods of control. Give a quick overview of the remaining controls, including those on the steering wheel. Explain the key memory functions. BENTAYGA

POCKET GUIDE
TEST DRIVE ON THE ROAD Demonstrate the gear selector operation and the steering wheel mounted paddle shift. Demonstrate the Drive Dynamics Modes. Start the drive in ‘Bentley’ mode, explaining this gives an optimum balance between performance and comfort. At relatively low speeds (around 40 mph / 60 km/h) and on a road with lots of surface granularity, switch to ‘Comfort’ mode to demonstrate the increased ride comfort it brings. On a suitable stretch of road (for example, fast, sweeping bends) switch to ‘Sport’ mode, highlighting the increased performance feel of both the suspension and the engine. (When switching between modes make sure to explain that the driver must lift off the throttle and reapply in order to change the engine characteristics). While demonstrating the modes mention that up to 11 individual engine and suspension variables are automatically optimised when a different mode is selected. Demonstrate the ‘Custom’ mode, enabling the driver to configure the engine, steering and suspension settings as desired. If the Drive Dynamics Mode with Responsive Off-Road Settings (as part of the All Terrain Specification) is fitted, explain the simple and intuitive concept behind it. In conjunction with this, mention specific off-road features such as Hill Descent Control, ability to lock ride height in its highest setting (where appropriate and in certain modes) and the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) off-road setting. Also mention the other features included in the All Terrain Specification.
TEST DRIVE ON THE ROAD Demonstrate how to access the settings for any driver assistance system fitted to car, what modifications can be made and how to switch them off completely if desired. If the electrically deployable tow bar is fitted, demonstrate Trailer Reverse Assist (this may be best done at the dealership). Demonstrate the main infotainment functions as requested by your customer. As a bare minimum demonstrate how to: - Set a new map destination - Make and receive a phone call - Use the voice control functionality - Use the text-to-speech functionality for incoming texts and emails - Store radio stations - Switch between different media sources - Use Connected Car features (market dependent): Google Earth, Google Streetview, Google Point of Interest search and Real Time Traffic Information (RTTI)
Ensure you know which Driver Assistance Systems your customer is interested in and be prepared to demonstrate these thoroughly. This is likely to be determined by likely usage of the car so make sure you understand this beforehand.
