1.1 Guidelines The Olympic brand expresses the vision and values of the Lviv 2026 Games. It is the visual representation of the ideals of the city, its people, its culture and the Olympic Movement—in addition to being a valuable marketing property. To preserve the official brands, guaranteeing their integrity and emotional value is essential for the maintenance and continuity of the Olympic Movement.

1.2 Olympic Vision and Mission The goal of the Olympic Movement is to contribute to building a peaceful and better world by educating youth through sport practiced without discrimination of any kind. The Olympic spirit, which requires mutual understanding with a spirit of friendship, solidarity and fair play all the while remembering the games as a Global Celebration.

1.3 Olympic Spirit The Olympic Spirit is expressed by Achievement and Celebration. The Lviv 2026 Brand attempts to convey these two ideas throughout all aspects of the 2026 Winter Olympic Games.

Achievement Going beyond your limits— overcoming challenges with joy, drive, motivation and energy. These are the virtues that that make the Olympics great. The Lviv 2026 Olympic Games brand is a living example of transformation though sports. Its energy is contagious, mobilizing people and expanding opportunities and horizons. It promotes and fosters Olympic values— respect, friendship and excellence—in our daily lives.

Celebration Lviv 2026 is a brand that embraces the traditional celebration of the Olympic Games. Through all the events and activities the take place during the time of the games, the Lviv Brand strives to remind everyone who experiences it of the celebration that is taking place. A celebration that everyone is invited to and a time where the world can come together for a type of ‘global party’ to honor and experience the Lviv 2026 Winter Olympic Games.


1.4 Presentation More than a form, more than a font and the colors that compose its material expression, a brand needs to have a soul. It is a combination of values and beliefs that give the brand a more human dimension, drawing people in and creating a connection. This Chapter contains the conceptual framework that gave birth to the Lviv 2026 Olympic Games brand. In addition to the principles and inspiration that guided the creative process, the following content also includes the Essence, the Attributes of the Lviv 2026 Olympic Games brand.

1.5 Inspiration and Concepts Lviv 2026 is a brand born with a huge challenge: to represent the Passion of a city and the entire country—and project its distinctions to the world. All the while ouching back to the celebration of the Olympic Games and the worldwide gathering the games bring about. The Lviv 2026 Olympic brand expresses unity, inspires achievement and optimism. It is a living vibrant mirror of a city that embraces festivities and joyfully delights in throwing ‘parties’; gatherings that are welcoming to all and encourages the appreciation of traditional values, in specific the Winter Olympics. Inspiration and concepts that guided the creation of the brand originated from a simple, yet powerful idea: what distinguishes our city and makes the Olympic Games a truly grand event are the people, their nature, their feelings and aspirations. Appreciating these aspects of the Lviv people as well as promoting the Olympic spirit and celebration is what this the Lviv 2026 Brand set out to accomplish as people experince the Winter Olympics.

1.6 Brand Essence Aimed at fostering a celebratory atmosphere and creating memorable experiences, the Lviv 2026 ‘look’ is far more than a mere branding exercise – these designs will be a source of inspiration, bringing people and cultures together. Venues, products, uniforms – everything associated with the Lviv 2026 Olympic will have this stamp. The city will put on its best clothes to host the greatest sporting spectacle on the planet.

1.7 Brand Attributes Inspired by the people of Lviv and experiencing the lively community of the city, the first step in the creative process was to focus on how this special city – the people, places, images, colors, smells, and sensations – related to the spirit of the Olympic Games. The main thing that stood out when studying Lviv, was the cities experience with throwing festivals of all sorts of celebrations. From attracting and welcoming visitors and tourists across the world, to displaying the spirit of the event through sights, sounds, smells, and tastes, Lviv is an ideal place to host such a large and special event as the Olympics are. The city and the people know exactly how to balance embracing tradition as well as pioneering the new, when it comes to putting on a celebration.

Lviv 2026 Olympic Games Brand




Passion Passion that unifies all Ukrainians in organizing the Lviv 2026 Winter Olympic Games. Passion through sports, reflected in the drive and desire for achievement. Passion of the Lviv soul that extends a warm and friendly embrace, in a collective gesture that expresses our contagious celebratory nature. Passion of a city and an entire country, fuelled by the renovation of the Olympic spirit, in hopes of projecting Lviv and Ukraine to the world.


2.1 Olympic Emblem There are a series of immediately recognizable symbols that create the identity of the Games. These symbols transmit the Olympic values. They are the Olympic Rings and the Olympic Emblem.

2.2 The Olympic Rings These form the principal symbol of the Olympic Games and the official logo of the IOC. The Olympic rings were conceived in 1913 by Baron Pierre de Coubertin, who was responsible for the rebirth of the Olympic Games in the modern era. The five interlinked rings represent the union of the five main continents. They are colored blue, yellow, black, green and red.

2.3 Olympic Slogan The sentence or word that encompass the identity of the Games and creates the intended atmospshere.

2.4 Typography The choice of the Lviv 2026 font depicts a clear straightforward design that is universal. Each letter and style expresses a strong idea and intended to be welcoming and including of all people who read it. The different weights allow for the type to be versatile and adaptable in each specific scenario that it is placed in. The type acts a clear invitation to be universally understood. The letters are written in single continuous strokes, with fast and fluid motions, suggesting the movements of the athletes in action. The variety of the curves in the different letters has a unique informality, inspired by the joyfulness and warmth of the Ukrainian people. Only one standardized font has been chosen for the Olympic brand identity. This font is to be used in all printed and online communications. The typeface was selected for its visual compatibility with the Olympic emblem and for its ability to convey a personality that is consistent with story of the brand. The different weights and styles shown on this page are all acceptable uses.

It is important that the full-color version of the Olympic Emblem maintain a consistent appearance of the logo and all visual communications across various media types and materials. Using colors consistently in all communication will strengthen brand recognition, create impact and differentiate our programs.

2.8 Pictograms Sport pictograms are graphic icons facilitating the visual identification of each sport and are a Games tradition. In 2026, each Olympic sport will be represented by a unique pictogram for the first time.

2 .9 Secondary Marks When certain constraints prevent the use of the primary full-color version of the Olympic Emblem, use one of the alternative secondary marks.

2 .10 Olympic Emblem: Full-color The full-color version of the Olympic Emblem is the primary use of the identity system. It is strongly recommended that this version be used in branded applications whenever possible. CMYK reproduction files are available for specific application requirements.

To ensure the integrity of the full-color version of the Olympic emblem, don’t reduce its width to less than 1.5 inches for print or special usage. Other reproduction methods will require the minimum size to be greater than the sizes identified here.

When reproduction constraints prevent the use of the primary full-color version of the Olympic Emblem, use the alternative one-color versions.

2.13 Unacceptable Uses The consistent and correct application of the Lviv 2026 Winter Olympic logo is essential. Always follow the standards presented in these guidelines. The examples on this page illustrate some of the unacceptable uses of the Lviv Olympic logo.

2.14 Image Library A carefully managed approach to selecting photography will distinguish the Lviv Olympic brand and create a lasting impression. The two general photographic categories for image selection are environments and people. Using dynamic, celebratory, and emotionally engaging images from these categories can help support the Olympic brand story.

2 .15 Business Stationery Use the following specifications and templates for the official Lviv 2026 Winter Olympics Games.

2.16 Business Cards The front of the business card contains the Lviv 2026 Olympic emblem with the website. All contact information and slogan are located on the back. Colors used on front and back are full-color CMYK. Satin aqueous coating should always be used on both sides to ensure maximum quality and protection from scratching.

2.17 #10 Envelope The #10 square flap envelope contains the Lviv 2026 Olympic emblem with contact information. Colors used on the parent sheet of this converted envelope are fullcolor CMYK. All Lviv 2026 Olympic address information is placed in the upper right corner. Adequate white space allows the logo to be prominent and a general writing space for the company, person, and address.

2.18 Letterhead The letterhead contains the Lviv 2026 Olympic emblem with slogan, and contact information. Stock used is Mohawk Navajo Writing, 28 lb. Brilliant White. No acqueous coating is applied to this uncoated sheet. All color is full-color CMYKAdequate white space around the logo allows the logo to be prominent.

2.19 Environmental Signage Signage helps people identify, navigate, and understand environments. All interior directional signage will utilize the Olympic emblem or secondary marks, and slogan.

2.20 Ephemera/Packaging Ephemera helps people identify and experience the Lviv Olympic brand story. All ephemera will utilize the Olympic emblem or secondary marks, and slogan using Avenir Next typeface and supporting photographic and illustrative imagery.

2.21 Print Print communications inform, identify and experience the Lviv Olympic brand story in a clear and engaging way. All print communications will utilize the Olympic emblem or secondary marks, and slogan using Avenir Next typeface and supporting photographic and illustrative imagery.

2.22 Website/Mobile The website contains the Olympic emblem with slogan, and contact information. It helps users understand how to take part in the games; information about the various sporting events; the city of Lviv; how to get tickets; the Olympic Torch; News; and More.
